This is a great store for purchasing many different kinds of items, dog food guns clothing and just about everything else you can think of except groceries. Great store and great service!

It's weird- they have a really big selection of things, but things I'd normally expect they didn't have and the variety of various things like say cleaning supplies, wasn't much. Like only 1 brand or item to choose from. But in the end I managed with what they had, it just wasn't exactly what I needed. It's a big store with a separate feed building and 2 levels in the main store so it's not arranged like most Big R stores but it was easy to navigate. Super nice cashiers and it wasn't hard to find someone if I'd needed help finding anything. My only real peeve that has nothing to do with this store, is that they all close so early. Some people work long hours and get off late so it'd be nice if they stayed open later

Regular customer of big R la junta but Big R Lamar appears to have more stock and inventory all around. Since I travel for physical rehab to Holly regularly it is an easy on the way home stop. I was delighted to see they carry concealed carry purses in all shapes and sizes! ( I bought a beautiful leather one) And am perusinng their excellent selection of firearms and accessories.Craig is the go to fella for the guns and ammo and hunting dept! Very helpful to this older "grass widder" whose husbands work leaves her alone on the farm a bit too much for these uncertain times!I'm rusty and am definitely going in for a refresher defensive course, with my newest purchase, as it's been 30 yrs + since I trained and used one regularly.Craig was very observant and picked up on my inexperience as I'd asked to look at the cheaper highpoints instead of a Glock. He insisted I try to pull back the rack on the high point and I realized why as soon as I tried! It was seriously nose heavy for me and though I could manage it , it was clear that wasn't going to be my best option in a close quarters situation at all! I could maybe just use it as a " blunt object" to hit them over the head with as that would be probably easier for me! Lol 🤣 Anyway, I was grateful for his input and advice. And yes I purchased the Glock! Old muscle memory works better every time! It will be a good truck pistol when I'm out in the field or picking up supplies in the " big cities" ! Those parking lot varmints are getting bigger and bolder every time!

Went to get a pair of bib overalls, they have many choices. We got a kerosene heater that was on sale, very good buy. Employees are very helpful. Nice place, very organized, well stocked.

The customer service here really is fantastic. The manager was great, very friendly, just like all the staff. It's nice to come into a place with a nice warm environment, it makes me want to come back in. A guy named Jessie helped me today, and he was really great to work with. He was fairly new he said, about two weeks, but he knew exactly what he was doing, was very friendly, and talked about his job well, definitely a highlight after working a long day and running errands. 5/5, and now I'm a rewards member for what that's worth as well.(Excuse the silly name attached to my email)

There is nothing ever wrong with big are except some of their prices. The people are exceptionally polite and very knowledgeable when you ask where a specific item is. They have great selection as far as clearance item goes and they have a large variety of anything you need.

Excellent selection and variety. Staff(most) is A-1. They go above and beyond to help you find what you're looking for. They are a little pricey on most things even for a small town so keep an eye on the sales, and join the rewards program.

Went to the store today and immediately went upstairs to clothing…. I was then “greeted” by Bobby. Her exact words were… “you shop here to much.” Then after talking to her for a few minutes she says “ you probably come because you want your job back so bad.” The amount of love that I have for Big R let alone the store is so high. I loved my job and every second of it. With this go round of working here I’ve been disrespected by managers and now that I have left I’m being told I shop here and am there to much all because I want my job back. There has never been any talk to anyone in that store about me wanting to come back. I’m in disbelief as I have NEVER had a bad experience there until today. My business will go to TSC. I will only shop at Big R if she is not working or it is my ABSOLUTE ONLY option a…. VERY disappointed

Bad experience 2 times within the past week at this location. We felt unwelcomed by employee Bobby both times as she responded in a rude way. As well as unprofessional behavior (throwing clothes to the floor). I have heard from multiple people that she has behaved in this way with them as well. Unfortunately due to these occurrences it makes us think twice about coming back to shop.

While visiting from out of town we had something break on our trailer. Almost everything in town was closed except this store and Wal-Mart. The staff here went above and beyond to help us find what we so desperately needed to fix our trailer. They didn't carry the piece of wood we needed in the store but helped us track one down anyway. They were friendly and made us feel like they truly cared about us. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

Bought an item, wrong size, tried to return/exchange but item was red tag, tags were not removed, item was not worn. The receipt had no mention about policy. Will shop elsewhere from now on.

This place has a little bit of everything, toys, gloves, clothing, animal feed, hardware, outdoor furniture, building materials, snacks, and much more.There's wheelchair accessible entrance, restrooms, and parking.Cowboy hats and boots, huge selection of jeans, shirts, and a discount section.I grabbed a boot cleaning to get rocks and dirt off our shoes because of all the dirt and rocks around our home, and it was discounted $40.Quick check out and always greeted immediately upon entry.

I had given up all hope to find a particular hose and pipe fitting needed for my trailer rig, nobody seemed to even know what I had. I went to Big R as a last ditch effort before going to a custom shop. Not only did the guy know exactly where my fittings and hose were, he gave me an extremely easy way to repair the hose I had!

We were visiting family and they brought us along to this Big R store...they have everything! If your passing through Lamar and need to stretch your legs a bit this is a fabulous place to do just that. From toys and camping gear to snacks, coolers and clothes..this place has it all!

Will not be back! Felt very unwelcome. When I ask for help locating an item I received attuite as if I were a bother. It was also made very clear-by over hearing the cashiers talking- if customers didn't vote for a particular presidential candidate they were idiots. I didn't feel politics should be a conversation amongst business regardless of your views.

They are so helpful in there. They take the time to make sure I find the right size bolts for my projects and helped me get a difficult key size on a different visit. Very nice helpful people.

The best part is the people who work there. I bought a nice $30 sprinkler that said it had a year warranty, after a year it stopped working. Everywhere else sold only cheepo plastic ones, So I went back and told Dave, and with out questions he said "We'll take care of it". Try that at Walmart or anywhere else and see what happens. Out of all the home improvement stores they're the best. Better people, good selection, and they're open till 8 at night 6 days a week.
