Small store who really know what they're doing! They only sell finches, cockatiels, and budgies but will sometimes have larger birds for adoption as rescues. They have a huge selection of healthy parrot food and is the only place near me that carries TOPs, one of the best pellets available in the US. I don't often leave reviews but this is a really lovely small business that you should stop by if you ever find yourself in Lakewood. They know their bird stuff and are happy to answer questions! My bird has been very happy with everything I've purchased there, and I have no complaints about the service or quality of their products.

Cool little shop. Great variety of birds and supplies. Easy, convenient boarding for all kinds of birds, with reasonable rates. Nice resource for the Denver area.

I was “adopted” by a tired or lost racing pigeon a couple weeks ago. It was camped out on my front porch, eating and drinking water as it, I guess, got strength to fly back home. It was soon obvious that it was not wild, but was used to people. I spent almost 2 full days trying to find someone, ANYONE, who would help me if it didn’t finally fly away. I learned a lot about the sport of pigeon racing! The owner of this store offered to take in the bird if it didn’t fly away or if I couldn’t find the owner (which I eventually did). I never met the owner of this shop but she was kind enough to speak with me on the phone, reassure me about dealing with this beautiful bird and offer to drive it to its owner if nothing else worked. I was very impressed by her patient advice and willingness to help this little bird! It was a crazy 48 hrs but at least everything ended positively.

My Daughter wanted a bird for years. I finally purchased birds (starting with finches) for my daughter in 2022. The store owner at World of Birds has brought a passion into my life and my daughter's life. The store owner has so much information to share, always has a lively personality and is always available to support us by sharing her knowledge. We love our birds and they have become a wonderful joy in our lives. It is always fun to visit World of Birds as the nutrition options available for our finches, canaries, parakeets and even our green cheek conures is of high value and our birds are so healthy as a result. There is also always a well stocked variety of birds as well. The store owner is there to support you and she also rescues birds as well.

Don’t go here for boarding. When I arrived for pick-up one of my birds had no food in her cage because they didn’t follow the instructions to put the food into the dish she couldn’t dump . She had lost 4grams in a week. And both my birds were acting terrified of being there.

I’ve boarded my bird at WOB so many times and have been pleased with each stay. They will even clip the nails, wings and beak. They can provide a cage and food and night coverings for your bird if needed or you can bring in your own things for your bird’s stay.

If I could leave zero stars, I would. The lady who I’m assuming is the owner, was so rude. I asked her about the cockatiels and she had absolutely no information other than to say “wanna get bit?” I’m not sure how she expects to get any business with an attitude like that. Not to mention, none of her birds are handled by humans so they are completely terrified and wild. Don’t waste your time or money at this place. I’d have better luck catching a bird outside.

I really love this place, we got our cockatiel here and the education we got was great as it was our first bird. Now when we go out of town the boarding is wonderful. They take great care of the birds, very affordable prices
