I have mixed emotions. I brought my rescue in to be groomed for the first time since he was rescued in Oct. a few weeks ago. He seemed traumatized from his fur being matted and kept pulling at it even though his fur was/is well maintained, and he does let me comb & brush him. He did strut himself like nobody's business after his haircut non stop for the first week. His hair cut is cute and he's happy. I put in the notes that he had sensitive skin, yet after leaving the store I saw that there was some type of powder on his fur. I imagine it was dry shampoo and it wasn't all washed out. I was under the impression regular dog shampoo, he didn't get much spritz or a cute little bow tie or scarf. He kept biting at himself and I gave him a bath to get it off, he irritated his skin from where he was biting at & thankfully didn't break his skin. Please don't use powder on dogs with sensitive skin, I didn't think i'd need to say something. I just figured everyone knew that. They had to catch him as he fell off the table when he backed up too far & could've hung himself. His nails were jagged, and actually were cutting my skin. They couldn't get a mat out of his paw (ofc on the shelter, they should've & said they got all his mats) and told me to take him to the vet and have them do it. Took him downtown and they got it out within 5 minutes and he was perfectly fine. He just needs patience, not every dog is the same especially rescues. He in general loves being pampered. It was also mentioned he's weird about his paws so that should have been where they started. If you're not good with anxious dogs, just say that you don't work with them. Somebody will still charge the $80+ I was charged to work with them. And don't be afraid to use a muzzle as it does calm some dogs down. Also never rush on black nails, thankfully his nails weren't cut too far but I saw the dog who was and nothing was said to her owner. Always say something to the owner so they can watch for an infection. He loves his Teddy Bear look still even though it's quickly growing back out and everyone still takes double takes thinking he's a stuffed animal. Thank You for making him more comfortable than he was.

Super cute Christmas stuff, and had some really good clearance items I picked up. Always love seeing the birdies and rodents. Only reason I was able to have the self control not to leave with a little hammy is cuz I'm allergic 🤧 😪

the staff are very helpful, understanding and fantastic. We buy dog and cat food.Lots of parking. It can get busy depending on the time.Best advice is to ask questions no matter how stupid you think the question is, don't just jump into it and think you know it, unless you know what you are doing. Do your research and then make the commitment.

Our family would like to give a shout out to RICKY! he was unbelievably helpful and friendly! We asked a lot of questions & he knew all the answers! I know Petco treats animals poorly, but this store won’t even safely make a temporary enclosure for their animals while their tank is being cleaned. The employee was cleaning the tank with chemicals and dirty rags while these rats cowered together terrified and stressed in the corner. Horrible to see.

We had a such a wonderful experience with dog grooming at the Belmar PETCO. Robin was so great with our dog Bear! When we first adopted our dog from the shelter he was quite dirty and needed lots of love. Robin spent the whole afternoon making sure Bear felt comfortable and helped to clean him up. He looked like a new pup after! We have continued to go to Robin ever since. She is absolutely amazing with the dogs and we would recommend her services to anyone! Thank you so much Robin! 😊

I tend to end up taking my pup here for some birthday shopping. I came here on a Wednesday night after work and the staff was super friendly to me and my dog. The store was stocked and had a lot of options.

I have used Vetco twice for vaccinations for my pet Goldendoodle. It has been a positive experience of going to the Petco store and having these services provided. I find this a much more pleasant and convenient that the vet clinic I had gone to before. I will continue to use this service. It is also nice that it is located at the store so I can shop for things that I need for our dog.

My dog caught a respiratory illness here, do not recommend here at all!!! Fighting for her life now she’s on 6 medications these people didn’t even get back to me for 5 days cause of “under staffing” !!!! She passed away from what she caught here NEVER AGAIN!

I took my senior dog to the vet here and while at the appointment asked if they needed to do blood work on him. They said no and that he was a very healthy dog. Two weeks and $2,000 emergency vet later my dog died of a hemorrhage from a massive internal cancerous tumor that the blood work would have caught. To make matters worse, they won't let me cancel my "vetco total care" for my dead dog so I'm still paying them every month for a service that they failed to provide.

The store is great and the people are nice. Petco in general is sneaky about discounts. For example: 15% discount off $80.00 (pre-tax) Hills Science Diet. The big bag costs 79.99. Well played, PetCo.

On Saturday, November 25th, I was disturbed by the actions of a dog groomer at this Petco. A young female was grooming a beautiful small white possibly terrier about 3:45. More than once, she shook the front legs of the dog sideways in a rough manner while she was grooming it. I knocked on the glass to let her know that she was being too rough, which she ignored. I then told the manager who said that he was sure it was ok and that he would check on the dog later. If I could give 0 stars, I would. This type of behavior towards an innocent animal cannot be tolerated. I will contact the corporate office and file a complaint.

Took my dog here a few weeks ago and witnessed someone with blonde frizzy hair chubby lady taking the tip I left for Selina. My review was removed. I will be checking weekly to ensure it is not deleted again. Cooperate has already been notified of this. Avoid this petco location. Managers at this location must not want word out that they have a theif they are keeping employed. Absolutely disgusting. Do better petco!!!

I like this Petco location. I give my dog the Purina Pro Plan with the shredded salmon in it and it can be hard to find in stock. They always have it <3

Employees were super nice, but it's extremely disheartening when I see so many neglected fish for purchase. I used to buy them because I felt so sorry for their sickly state, but it usually isn't enough. There were waaay too many dead fish floating around, an abundance of fin rot, popeye, swim bladder issues, rotting gills, you name it. No one should have to risk the health of their tank for such poorly maintained aquatic life. Save yourself the heartache and purchase from aquarium stores with fish that are properly sustained.

One of the caretakers was giving the hamsters their sand baths. I love that he set up a little show for them to "watch" while they were cleaning up. They didn't have our ferrets specific food, but we were able to order it on the app for the another location. Just really cool to see the caretakers be so awesome with the animals.

Vance, Chris, Juanita and the rest of the staff are very helpful, understanding and fantastic. We buy dog and cat food. The Best meal worms for reptiles. We bought geckos and fish...a fishtank and gecko tank. I suggest to talk with Vance about setting up a fish tank before you add the fish.Vance taught us that you cannot set up a fish tank in one day and add fish. It's a lot more than that.It took us 2 weeks to get the water level's right, but Vance's advice was perfect and we now able to add the fish without killing them.Best advice is to ask questions no matter how stupid you think the question is, don't just jump into it and think you know it, unless you know what you are doing. Do your research and then make the commitment.I have been shopping here for over 10 years now and never once have I had a problem.

I love this Petco location!! When my dog sprained her ankle right before heading to Petco, a moderate limp when she first walked into Petco ended up becoming a situation where I had to carry her out (she is a full grown husky lol).Ricky was my cashier and he offered to bring my shopping cart to my car and made sure it didn't roll away while I loaded my dog. He was so freaking sweet!!Another employee (forgot to grab his name) gave my nervous dog who had never been inside a pet store before some treats to make her more comfortable.So grateful for the wonderful staff at this site, I'll be back for as long as I live in the area!!
