I wanted to shout out Dr. Blackstone for being incredibly compassionate and thorough in her care of our beloved Welsh Corgi. We came in with one concern and through her careful examination she was able to find another issue. She patiently explained the issue and courses of treatment for all of our concerns without causing alarm. It is clear she truly cares about our sweet dog and educating us as his humans. I also appreciate she has been the one personally communicating with us on any updates. Thank you!

Was in for daycare. Fixed a tangle of hair on my shepherd/whatever mix doggo, who I had been in mortal combat with for about 6 hours total at this point, coconut butter was involved.WITHOUT ME ASKING!!!!

Jo was so helpful! She called my pharmacy to see if my dog’s prescription was filled, and was told the cost of the medication would be $100 at pick up. Jo called me and asked if I would like her to call around and find the medication for less. Of course I said yes, and within 30 minutes, Jo found a different pharmacy that would prepare the same meds for $8. Thank you Jo for going the extra mile to save me so much money!

These folks are awesome! When our vet of 30 years retired, we were concerned about finding someone as good. Dr. Blackstone and her colleagues filled the bill. Both kitties have been well cared for and are happy and healthy. I highly recommend Mountain Ridge Animal Hospital.

Mountain Ridge Animal Hospital is the best vet I have ever taken my dog to. The entire staff is so helpful so I never see a specific veterinarian. The main reason for my 5 stars is I have NEVER felt pressured to follow throw with a costly procedure. The staff always breaks it down for me, offers alternatives and gives me time to think about it. Since they take this approach it means they truly care about the wellbeing of my fur baby and not just what's lining my wallet. I truly believe this company and staff are in the business for all the right reasons.

Here’s the deal, I live in Denver and I drive all the way to Lafayette to visit this animal clinic. Why? It’s so simple. The vets and the vet assistant/nurses, as well as the front office staff are 100% efficient, professional, and pet-loving. There is nothing they’ve administered to my nearly 12 year old Norwich Terrier that was out of the ordinary or unnecessary. As a dog owner I’m keenly aware of my dog’s moods and needs. After the vet administered vaccinations my dog was returned to me as a happy calm animal. That says so much. Their fees are very reasonable.

I have been taking my dogs (so far two Newfoundlands and a Leonberger) to MRAH since I moved to the area in 2010. I loved the vet we saw in Minnesota so I was nervous about finding a new vet. I was very pleasantly surprised. I am very satisfied every time I take my dogs to MRAH. Everyone there is pleasant, helpful and professional from the front desk staff to the techs to the assistants to the doctors. They have taken very good care of my dogs and has always been there for me when I needed them. I couldn't be more pleased and I never hesitate to recommend them.

We are very pleased with Mountain Ridge. We have Boston Terriers: a 13-year-old and a 6-month-old. The staff is great with both of them. We have seen them a lot recently for puppy visits and senior wellness care, and have a very consistent experience each time - friendly, take time to explain things and answer all our questions, and great with the dogs!

Poor Miss Mia had an upset tummy and her regular vet could not see her. The staff at Mountain Ridge was extremely accommodating. From the initial phone call to the check-in they showed genuine concern for my pets health. Even though they were booked they squeezed me in and I was ok with waiting! The front desk staff is just amazing. Everyone is super friendly and caring. You can tell they really care about the pets. Dr.Boal is one of the nicest veterinarians I have met! Again, he showed genuine concern for Mia’s health and took time for all of my questions. They also have the most affordable doggie day care in the area!!!

Laura Hofmann, the trainer, at Mountain Ridge is incredible. We have a very sweet, but reactive dog, and she really helped give our family tools on how to cope with his reactivity. Laura has a a warm and gentle style that helps pet owners feel supported as they learn how to train their dog. Just phenomenal.I also want to give a huge shout out as well to Dr. Todak who is one of the most sensitive veterinarians that we have every worked with and we feel very nurtured and supported at every visit.We also feel very supported by the incredible customer service of all of the staff at Mountain Ridge. My dog had a bad eye infection and his eye was almost completely closed up. Our normal vet was completely booked for the whole week but Mountain Ridge was able to get him in to see the vet the same day that I called. He's normally really nervous and unpredictable around vets and groomers and especially new people touching him but the vet and assistant were very gentle with him and took a lot of care not to stress him out and even diverted his attention with some tasty treats so they could run the tests needed to diagnose him. The staff at clinic were very professional and polite. I think they did a great job and I would definitely recommend this vet to others.

They are awesome! Always upfront and don’t try to push you to do extra vaccines, treatments, or exams that might not be necessary for your dog. I 100% trust this Animal Hospital!

About a week ago, My friends & I found 4 abandoned puppies. We took them here for care. A Female Staff pulled up in a White SUV. Outside my husband & I Attempted to ask her for help... She turned to us and curtly stated "You Can't Be Here" then went inside without concern of what we needed.Unfortunately, 3 of the 4 puppies died later that Morning.Also, there was a large White dog being boarded. She took the out of it's kennel came outside for 3 minutes then put the dog back inside & then the staff person locked the building and drove away. As a Former Veterinary Nurse,I surely hope this isn't this Hospital/Day Care's idea of quality time and care for Your Pet Kids...

I saw another review speak to traveling from Denver to Lafayette because of how great this place is. I could not agree more, but we travel ever further from Highlands Ranch to use this animal hospital for our three dogs.To start with, scheduling is very simple and flexible. The front desk is always so helpful and welcoming so you start off on the right foot. The front desk also is very knowledgeable if you have any questions that either they can answer or they procure the answer and get back to you.The doctors themselves are equally as fantastic. They are thorough and very knowledgeable about various conditions/diseases as well as different treatment options. The doctors ensure that they clearly communicate the situation both in medical and layman’s terms so you fully understand. They take the time to do this and I have never experienced another vet that has stayed on the phone with me for 20 minutes to discuss a test result so I understand the implications and my options.Overall this place is top notch. I would highly recommend it to anyone. We have 3 dogs and some have some require regular health maintenance yet we make the hour drive without a thought of hesitation because we respect and appreciate this place that much.

My pup goes to Mountain Ridge for both vet care and daycare. I’ll let the other reviews talk about the vet side and say that I’m so glad I found such a great place to leave my dog during workdays! The staff is super friendly and clearly loves the animals that come in. Gussy is always tired and happy when we comes home, even though the photos they post on Instagram show that he spends most of his time laying on the staff. The prices are the best in the area and they don’t kennel the dogs. We recommend them 110%!

I have been going to Mountain Ridge for around 15 years starting with Dr.Landry who saved my dogs life at 6 years old and she lived until she was 15 . I was worried when he eventually moved to His pain management center, but all the new staff,vet techs and vets are really great we have 3 dogs and they have taken great care of all of them. Everyone at Mountain ridge is friendly and compassionate and they understand that our animals are like our family. I would and have recommended Mountain Ridge to many of my family and friends.Thank you Mountain Ridge for being awesome.

The team at MRAH always goes above and beyond for us. At our last visit they helped get all of my dog’s testing done on the spot - even though it wasn’t scheduled for another month - just to save us the extra trip the following month. They also identified another problem that I wasn’t even aware of, so I truly feel like my dog gets excellent care here. They have very high quality service. When my dog needed her cast re-wrapped, they even took the extra time to add a cool design to it. They have a very loyal customer in me, and it’s because I have felt at every single appointment that me and my dog really matter to them. Thank you, MRAH!

The staff at mountain Ridge has been super. The receptionists are very friendly and helpful. The techs are knowledgable and thorough. The vets are the best. Our first experience at Mountain Ridge was stressful and sad but they went overboard to help us and make the situation as comfortable as possible. They are taking extra time by coming to the car and talking to us about the care they have given our pets .Now, if you want, you can go into the building and see the vets. They do a great job.

The techs are always very professional and kind while being incredibly gentle with our Labrador. We took our dog for the free trial to see how she would handle doggy day care. She was not thrilled about going through the front door. I'm sure she believed she was getting a shot. To accommodate us, the welcoming employee walked our dog all the way back around the building to calm her down and show her that she was going to have fun, not going to be treated by the vet. They went through a different entrance and she calmed down immediately. When we picked her up, the same employee handed her off and even showed us pictures of her playing with other dogs. It felt very personal and sincere.It is stressful when our dog recognizes the vet building when we pull up, but the staff is very supportive and helpful. I highly recommend this veterinarian and we won't go anywhere else.
