We arrived unannounced around 930p at the last minute because we were unable to go over the pass due to zero visibility. Im grateful for the bad weather. Grant and the entire team were awesome. They worked out a room in minutes, welcomed us at the bar, and made sure all was well with our room. The hotel is artfully authentic. Really cool layout and decor. The room was clean, quaint, and very cute. Bed and bedding was so comfortable we actually looked up the products. The location in the town is awesome, near local restaurants and shops. A real gem. We will stay here again. Thank you, La Veta Inn.

What a nice surprise! We were greeted by Reggie when we checked into La Veta Inn and he gave us a tour of the hotel, restaurant, and wonderful outdoor patio space. Our room was cozy, the bed was comfortable, and everything was clean. The coffee/tea station in the hallway was perfect for an evening cup of Bedtime tea!The hotel is a historical building so there was guidelines on modernizing but there’s definitely work in progress! We will stay here again for the annual Stonewall Century bike ride! And a special thanks to Reggie for his hospitality and for helping me with getting my bike upstairs!

We were on our way to the San Juan Mountains from OKC. I reserved two rooms at La Veta Inn just a few days before traveling. We only needed a night, and I took a chance not really knowing much about the location or the hotel. Great choice. La Veta is a small town with a small town atmosphere. La Veta Inn provided nice refurbished rooms, an outdoor patio with live music, delicious "Italian" food (try it), a bar, excellent service, and an eclectic group of fellow travelers.

Charming and relaxed, funky and unique, but still working things out as of October 2022. Definitely not a chain, seems like someone's passion project. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was fine. New bathroom fixtures and finishes, but no hot water for any guests the morning I was there. It happens. Pool table was free, but cues are shot. The courtyard is a great place to hang out. Wonder if it will get noisy as the hotel gets busy.

Loved the place. Stopped by on a work trip and glad I did. Town is darling and hotel is newly renovated while preserving old charm. Beds were comfy, patio and other common spaces are well-appointed, cell is limited but wifi is strong and I was able to work remotely. Highly recommend!

Sparkling clean with personable owner. Beds were WONDERFUL. We stayed in a courtyard room and it was very convenient. Microwave and fridge were needed as most restaurants in town closed on Monday. Great spot to stay while sightseeing; don't miss Bishop's Castle in Rye, CO. In room coffee was terrific!

An absolute gem. We’re very happy we found this Inn. Ryan, the owner, went out of his way to accommodate us. He even made our puppy feel special and gave him a bone.Very clean. Rooms have incredibly comfortable beds. Nice courtyard filled with hummingbirds and beautiful fresh flowers; a lovely spot for coffee in the morning. Enjoyed the pool table and the lobby area, too.Very nice innkeepers. In fact, everyone in La Veta was friendly and warm. Would definitely return!!

It has been a long time that I have been in such a nice place! The owners are so nice, and the room was the cleanest I have ever stayed in. It really feels like home. The beds were so comfortable and the courtyard was a great place to relax in. They are very pet friendly . If I could give it 20 stars so would!! Hope to return again!

This place is amazing. Had to stay here due to a snow storm and we were so happy to find this gem. Beautiful space with super cozy and well appointed rooms. The sheets were the softest I ever slept in. Ryan, the owner, was very nice and hospitable. The service was top notch. Now that my wife and I know this here we'll definitely be back!

Ryan, the new owner, made our stay very enjoyable. His great customer service, and hard work he has put in to remodeling made our visit that much better. We would definitely return, and recommend you stay here if you are passing through. We did not have the pleasure of meeting his wife. Apparently, visiting her sister while giving birth was more important than her customers :) JUST KIDDING!!! Great place!!!

Very beautiful and home like atmosphere. The owner is amazing and very kind and welcoming. One of Colorado's best kept secrets. More like a bed and breakfast. If you have had enough of busy and fast life, this will put you back to centered. Enjoy!

The gentleman who runs this place with his wife is very nice. The room was clean. I love the look of the bathroom. The bed was amazing. You really can't ask for better in the area. We had a lovely stay. We'd come back again, in a heartbeat.

I have stayed at many hotels/motels/inns during my lifetime, and La Veta Inn is by far the nicest place I’ve stayed. It’s a historic place with a lot of charm. The rooms are really clean and very spacious. I know it may sound odd, but it’s all the little details that make this place so great. Everything from the super kind staff/owner, the plushest towels you’ve ever used at a hotel, to the premium toilet paper. (Seriously, the toilet paper is better than any other place I’ve stayed. And it was folded to neat little triangle.) Honestly, I can’t say enough great things about this place. My only regret is that there is a slim chance I’ll pass through this way again, but if I do, I guarantee I will be staying here again.

We really enjoyed our visit to La Veta Inn. From the beginning of the visit to the end the owner took care of us. The room was spacious, two rooms for two beds. There was coffee, a fridge in the room.In the lobby was there an ice maker with the largest scooper I'd seen in a while :)Inside the Inn there is a great courtyard which can be enjoyed in the colorado sun or in the fall with a fire in fireplace.Breakfast was simple and good, bagels, cereal, OJ, Milk, jam and butter. If you want to stay a bit off the beaten pass in great, and clean place I'd suggest La Veta Inn

My wife and I stayed here over the weekend as a getaway from the city. We cannot say enough great things about the Inn and restaurant. Our room was so neat and relaxing with mountain scenery painted on the walls and the bathroom was large, not to mention views of the Spanish Peaks. It was also such a neat location as there were deer in the park across the street. The restaurant/bar was wonderful as my wife was blown away by the fish and chips and my hamburger was filling. The bartender was friendly and efficient. Lastly, the new owners are super personable, make you feel welcome and have recommendations on area attractions.

Loved it! We did Sunday brunch of eggs benedict and quevos ranchers. Cooked to perfection 👌 and delicious. Truly we thought we were in Santa Fe. Hostess/waitress were engaging and helpful. Owner/chef came out to check on us and was so proud of presentation as well as genuinely interested in how everything tasted.looking forward to experiencing a dinner upon our return. Oh yes we will be back!

Has the filling of a old town hotel with a modern twist, I travel more than the average person was really impressed ( owner has gone above and beyond expectations). Beds were awesome, super clean, cool showers, projection screen in the sports bar downstairs. People were really cool as well! Trust me stay here if you want to sleep in the best bed you will ever sleep in. 5 star*****

Nice locally owned and operated hotel. Rooms were kept up nice and opened onto a beautiful little courtyard in the middle. Coming from the great sand dunes this made a good stopping point on our travels. Even stuck around a bit to see the old fort in town which has some really cool history.

Comfy, cozy, clean, charming and easy! We stayed at the inn just passing through for one night and were very comfortable. It was winter so the restaurant/bar was closed. It was quiet. We didn't need the owners for anything after check-in but they made themselves easily accessible just in case. Would stay here again without hesitation!

Cute little hotel right in town. The owners were friendly and helpful. We had a dog friendly room which was very spacious. Although we didn't take advantage the courtyard was beautiful and would have been a nice place to relax.

We absolutely loved La Veta Inn and will definitely stay here each time we visit the area! Ryan and Ali, the owners, are delightful and I think everyone that visits can see their passion for making this inn great! We stayed in the historic room- we found it to be very quaint, and really loved the updated bathroom. Downstairs we enjoyed the restaurant and bar. Everyone there was pleasant and accommodating. We highly recommend La Veta Inn!!

Nice room but very few amenities. Can't use the courtyard. Dining room and bar are closed. Not so good coffee in rooms but there is a great coffee place walking distance called Paradise Coffee. Owners do contactless service. Probably won't stay there again. Too expensive for what you get.

Neat little "no frills" motel. Comfortable clean room, really nice host. It is small-pet friendly. The place where we were originally planning to stay had an emergency related to a wildfire SO the owner st us up here. I couldn't have been happier. Comfortable bed, spacious bathroom, even satellite TV & WiFi.

The new owners of this inn are the kind of people you wish you met at other hotels and inns. Their passion for making this inn memorable is obvious. The place is still a work in progress in some areas, so if you're looking for the Hilton, stay at the Hilton. Upon completion I will undoubtedly give this inn 5 stars for the service, personnel, the most fluffy bed there ever was, and the sheer charm of it all. I only wish I stayed on a day that the restaurant was open. Most places are closed on Tuesdays, as is their restaurant, but I had heard so much about it I wish I could have tried it! I would definitely stay here again.

I want to just say that this is one of the most accommodating places I have stayed at in a while. If you are looking to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city I would recommend this place highly! The owners or managers do an awesome job at making sure you are happy and comfortable I had my entire family there for 2 nights and would definitely recommend this inn!
