I enjoy staying here when I’m ice-fishing on Lake Granby. It’s a quick drive to the lake. The cabin style rooms are affordable, clean and cozy. The staff is always flexible and friendly. You can park right in front of your room which is very nice when loading and unloading my gear. Fast WiFi and a bunch of channels to watch on the TV. Pet friendly too! Thank you!

Horrible service. We called ahead of time and read the fine print, Gaylord overcharged and forced us to get a second room despite it not being in the fine print, then threatened to call the police and kick us out when we wanted to cancel because we couldn’t afford it. Immoral and disgusting abuse of power. Don’t let them steal your money. There’s a better motel down the street called Ute

This motel suited my needs just fine. I called ahead, so they were expecting me. The lady who worked there told me about the Dean Public House for dinner that night. They had cable television and a shower. The price of the room seemed a little high for a small room, but it sure beat camping out.Walkability: Hot Sulphur Springs is a small town. Anywhere you want to go is within walking distance.

Rude and disrespectful, was hoping for a good cheap hotel but was met with disrespect, tried upcharging us which I’m pretty sure is illegal, cancelling is the same amount for the room which is HORRIBLE!! she threatens to call police and kick us out and charged us anyways, only because we asked if more people can stay in the room that WE PAID FOR! Absolutely DESPICABLE… DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

I've been coming here for years (since 1987) because of the location and because I'm a fisherman. There's been many changes of ownership. There's not many amenities in town, so I just basically need a place to lay my head down for the night. I stayed there in early June of 2023 because it was raining like heck and needed a dry warm bed for the night. I paid 99 for the first night, and was told that an additional night was 99 as well. It never stopped raining, so I was happy to stay another night. There was an extra 55 dollars added to my bill for the extra night. The clerk clearly told me that an extra night was 99, but I was charged the extra 55 dollars anyway. It wasn't the end of the world, but I wasn't expecting this extra charge. It's not the most significant issue we're dealing with these days, but I'm kind of sad that I won't be going there again. When I first started going there, the rate was around 25-35 bucks. I hope the extra 55 dollars they got from me was worth it, because I won't be going back.Edit: The owner of the property contacted me herself and rectified the situation. She wasn't on site at the time of my stay in June, but was she was empathetic and helpful. I wasn't expecting that, but it was a nice gesture, and I do plan on visiting again soon. I truly believe that it was a misunderstanding, but it's been corrected to my satisfaction. It's a charming property and my faith in The Canyon Motel has been restored.

The manager is warm and pears happy to supply anything needed. In my case that was bedding for the futon couch in the room. It's diem, but comfortable. The room has two large queen beds and the full sized futon, along with a tiny kitchenette.Noteworthy details: This motel is an old style one that's almost finished being remodeled. It is great if you are comfortable with the style. It has the room style we had, a three bedroom apartment, and a few other single room units. Pets are welcome.

I was a little sceptical at first, but goodness gracious was I pleasantly surprised! Gaileen was so kind and welcoming both on the phone and when we checked in! The room was very clean and had everything we could want. The mini fridge was one of the larger ones I've ever seen and there was plenty of space in the freezer as well. We will definitely be back in the Spring and in the future! Thanks so much for a magnificent stay!

Very good hotel for the price and star rating. Clean, everything worked as it should, our room had a mini-kitchen which was nice. Free cookies in the lobby at night, muffins in the morning was a nice touch. Mostly quiet even though it is right next to a main street through town. Our stay was cool due to a cool day but note that there is no A/C in the room on warmer days.

The Canyon Motel staff was very helpful in accommodating an early check-in. The room was nice and toasty when I arrived. For a motel from the 50's it was well maintained and furnished. As for the decor, anything more Chic would just be out of place for the local. Parking literally right outside your door. The room and especially the bathroom were very clean. Best rhing overall, lt is just a couple minutes to the hot springs, right down the road. Definitely, stay again!

Was meet by a sweet black cat in the lobby. The room is clean and doesn’t smell of any smoke or nastiness compared to others. The location is very convenient as it is close to the hot springs. Glad to see that the kitchenette was stocked !

Very clean location; the rooms were small and looked like they hadn't been updated in 40 years but was honestly one of the cleanest places I've spent a night. It is a perfect place to spend a quick night.

This is a really nice motel. The only reason I gave it a 4 star rating, was due to the smokers and smoking right near the front entrance to the lobby area. I have severe lung health and breathing issues, and having to try to hold my breath when entering and exiting the main lobby, was not a pleasant experience. Otherwise, the owner was very friendly and nice, and the room was clean and enjoyable. I also really appreciated seeing the solar panels on the roof of the motel. It showed that this motel and it's owner take our environment seriously. Thank you! That said, maybe an electric vehicle charging station could be the next step forward. I was disappointed that there are no electric vehicle charging stations in the entire town of Hot Sulphur Springs. This would be a great way, to lure more environmentally conscious drivers and people to this motel, and this area.

Service was great! Enjoyed our stay, price was ok and I had no issues. 9/2/22 Recap with new owners they had no a/c and no fans. I know you can't control people but you can at least try to keep the noise down. I don't know about everyone else but when I leave the city I want some quiet, relaxing, and alone time and not feel like I'm in the ghetto. The room I had was an ok size but the bathroom and shower were so small, don't drop the soap you'll get stuck. You will feel as if you were in a crater sleeping in the beds. All and all I paid for 2 nights and stayed 1, I lost money but I wasn't going to stay. The staff was nice but not nice enough to give me any compensations.

We had 5 adults and 3 teens with us. We stayed in room 14 that had 3 bedrooms (1 bed each), 2 full bathrooms, and a pullout couch in the little living room. There is a fully functioning kitchen with full fridge/freezer. Out our back door is a little patio with a nice view of the mountains and a few house from the town. 5 minutes to the hot springs resort and spa! The owner was super nice and brought us complimentary breakfast to our door. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who stays to visit, but wants an affordable price!

We had to stay here one night. The lady allowed me to see if I would have an allergic reactions because they accepts pets but put me in a room that didn't have any animals in a while. The place didn't smell like pets. They were really clean. The outside has cute tables/chairs and benches. They have flowers hanging which makes it feel cute and cozy. The bed was comfy as well. Just don't like the tiny parking lot. Easy to get in but hard to get out. I would stay here again.

have stayed here a few times. My husband and I both love this place. Affordable, clean rooms. Close to the hot springs, only 5 or so minutes walking. Friendly staff. Good for groups, ask about the 3 room suite with kitchen. Took my mother and aunt here this past spring and it was plenty of space for the 4 of us. The kitchen is simple but nice to have if your tired and relaxed from your time in the hot water and don't want to venture into town for a meal. Will definitely come back for future trips.

This place is as good as home. Great owner and wonderful workers. The only place I'll stay within a 50 mile radius. I can't say enough good things about Canyon Motel.B. VincentI miss this place and cooking a steak for Gailene. Oh and then there's Sunshine, girl I miss your spunkiness and the beautiful woman you always showed me. If you weren't married I'd be back in a heartbeat. Just had to say that!!

Our favorite place to stay and it's close to the hot springs. The place has food too, delived to your room in less than 10 minutes. The Italian sub is so yummy! They also offer a complimentary breakfast item with a drink before you start your day, which is a plus. Rm 14 is down the stairs in the back and is like having your own apartment with lots of windows, while your away from home! Can't beat the location or the price. Staff has always been friendly, in all the years we've stayed. (20+ years)

The rooms were clean it was fairly quiet! The only suggestion is get a kitchenette there is very little food in town! The staff is friendly and hardworking. This little town can use some business and I will use them again if i ever get back that direction. Really though stop at a store or drive 10 miles one way 18 the other for food during the day.

Fantastic find! Extremely friendly people at this place. Very clean, cozy and welcoming. The customer service was superb. The staff was so accommodating. Nothing like the big chains! We were here for our hunting trip and there were more than enough amenities to make us feel at home. Extremely clean as well!! We will definitely stay here the next time we are in town...and we love this area. It is also conveniently located near the Hot Springs resort. Wether in town for a day or a week, it is well worth the stay.

This is an adorable little motel, very quaint and cozy although basic, you can't beat the price either! I got a single bed room for myself and don't need much in the way of amenities and space, but the one drawback is that the bathroom is the tiniest thing I have ever seen. There truly is barely enough room to turn around let alone use the facilities. The walls are also quite thin and can hear every noise from every neighbor. But still, for the location and price, it's about as good of a hotel as I could ask for!
