It’s a great place to go to. Not as crowded like city market. But every time I go in the cashier AnnaMarie is always rude. She never seems to be in a good mode. Other then that good storeBeen to Safeway as of late and I try to avoid when AnnaMarie is at the register. Today she was there and she ripped the bag open were I had my limes and didn’t even bother to ask me if I wanted a new bag for my limes. I’ll try to avoid her more when I go.

It had been many many years since I had been in a Safeway store I live out of state and we don't have them here but growing up in Texas they were everywhere. This store took me back to my childhood and it actually looked a lot like the ones from my childhood so it was a good experience. The store is clean and well kept and all the employees were nice. Over all it was great!

This is a small store that is having difficulty managing their inventory. The bread shelves were half empty. The produce was old. I went to pickup a bag of clementines and notice multiple bags with mold on the fruit. I finished my shopping at the City Market.

Safeway in Gunnison Colorado it's probably one of the most beautiful stores I've ever been in but probably for staffing reasons they've lost their deli no pre-made sandwiches no fried Chicken no tick chicken tenders play ended up getting triscuits and turkey breast and having a dietary luxury

Safeway has been my grocery store of choice since 1968. It always has the products I'm looking for. I also love the store brand, Signature. It's as good if not better than some name brand products.

This store is old, and needs a major update, which it may be cheaper to just build a new store to compete with City Market and Whole Foods, and have all of the things that all other Safeway stores have, ie a bakery deli, etc.. A few of the problematic staff members have left, but there are still a few left there that unfortunately are in charge of things there with their horrible demeanor and degrading customer service lost alills.. These managers don't realize that they should work a job NOT in the public eye, of a job behind a desk and OUT of the public eye and SHOULDN'T ocersee any employee. Other staff members are nice and pleasant, which is why I even go in here at all, but some of the lead personnel don't even realize why customers don't want to be on their lines and will stand in longer lines so that they don't have to be disrespected by some of thosw lead personnel. I truly don't understand why corporate will not do anything about, because If corporate payed close enough attention, then they'd realize that their sales would improve and the shortness of staff issues could/would improve if they got rid of the certain employees. Their staffing shortages are becaise it prevents the locals from applying and shopping at this store. Other than that, food items are mostly always available and stocked if there are outages, especially during the summer, but that's all of the stores, not just Safeway.

Staff at grocery store was friendly. Prices decent, especially if you have a rewards card with them (for the discount).Great location just off the highway. Camper trailers or Motor homes can park in the back or on the side of the building.

For such a small town, it is an absolute pleasure to see the smaller of the two grocery stores hang on. There's only a line every once in awhile, the produce is spectacular, although limited, but hey we're in a resort town. The meat section is somewhat limited, but it's all there everything you need. It's a small grocery store, about 6,000 ft smaller than needed here in this town. Everything is at risk of being sold out. But the staff is delightful. What I love about shopping here for the past four and a half years, is bumping into regulars. They really turned a corner over the last year, I appreciate that. The store is newly facelift, and the public bathroom is brand new. Lots of parking. And I've never not been able to sanitize my cart.

Called today for a product. Sheri said they don't have it anymore. I called another Safeway store and they not only had the product but expected more shipments in this evening. He said call Gunnison store and have them order it for me. Called Gunnison store and she said she would not order it and hung up on me. New Management has been needed here for years!! Poor quality, poor service, and no bakery or self-checkout lanes. Old and outdated!! Go to City Market.

I really enjoy visiting this Safeway. I do wish that they would expand it. I shop here for just about everything and many times find myself leaving without anything or many things. The town is growing and it would be great if they would grow with it. They have a lot or they can expand and I spoke to many residents that's shop here often and say they would appreciate it growing just a little bit for the regular shoppers.

Service was wonderful! Staff was extremely friendly and offered a couple gluten free options to fit our dietary needs. The cook (possibly the owner) came out and talked with us as well.

Safeway's meat department usually has better prices than City Market. Their skirt steaks are 1/2 the price. Better deal on poltry, mushrooms, bottled fruit juices, and more. They have frozen Beef and Calf liver. You can special order frozen chicken livers. They have great bi-montlysales on frozen Shrimp, Sea Scallops, and more.Sometimes checking out can be a bit slow. 😐 😎 🤔 😌

Somewhat higher prices than nearby Walmart or City Market. Good selection of food. Deli counter staff were not friendly. Basically threw our order on the counter, no "thank you" or "have a nice day". In fact, no words spoken.

The store has a decent variety and seemed to be well stocked the were a couple cashiers open every time I shopped so wait times weren't to long. The store is older and could use some updating but appeared clean the parking lot is large and easy to get into and out of the employees are friendly and helpful.

The clerk in the deli was rude to me and 2 other customers. I don't know if she was having a bad day but her job is customer service and you don't treat people that way. Disappointing.

I've always loved Safeway was so happy to see you when I got to Gunnison that we had one but I avoid it due to the fact that they're so short-handed and I don't like waiting in line that long sorry but I still love it

I have lived in Gunnison for a very LONG time. I shopped at Safeway because it's people are friendly and helpful and the meat selection was superb. Today I wondered why I was still shopping at Safeway. Most of the brands or types of food I like are gone. The shelves were understocked. A young person was snippy when I asked for help. And then I got to the meat department...The meat was leathery looking and cut thin with no fat at all. Almost all of it was boneless. The rest of it was processed crap. It looked like City Market's meat department only smaller. I don't like going to City Market because it's so crowded, and the people who shop there are rude and pushy, but it looks as if I may as well switch.

I used to like this store a lot. Great staff. I was there yesterday when a couple came in carrying their dog. Clearly not needed for navigation. I like animals but they just don't belong in food establishments 3xcept for navigation. The store's staff did nothing.

I love the Fountain Safeway. It always has fresh meats and fresh produce. The associates are more than helpful. Love how clean the store is including the bathrooms.

The employees here are friendly enough but the store is poorly organized and the selection is terrible. There are very few healthy options and if you're looking for quality meat or organic produce, look elsewhere. The checkout process usually takes really long as well since they're understaffed and don't have any self-checkout stations for customers who just want to purchase a few things without having to stand in line behind those with cartloads of groceries. Seems like this store could benefit from a few updates. I live really close to this store but I end up going to City Market anyway to avoid coming in here.

Beware of expired food products at this store! They sell expired meat, fish and poultry. I've also noticed that their packaged goods have mold in them from time to time. The manager of the store is beyond unethical. I have watched how she treats people who work there. If it were any other large city in the continent, it would be criminal!

I am 72 years old and had to show my ID to purchase beer. Common Sense has to be exhibited. Some Safeway executive has none. Following the law is admirable, caring a 72 year old is stupid beyond belief. Goodbye Safeway.
