It's not just their wealth of compassion for your animals, but they make you feel like a friend as well. I've never been upsold or paid more than I was expecting. First Visit: My dog woke up with an ear infection and they snuck him into their busy schedule. Glock hates every living thing, they took their time with him and didn't try to push him any more than they needed too. So greatful for their quick and great service with my angry puppy <3 Thank you all so very much!!Second Visit: I serioulsy wish I could keep leaving individual reviews for this company! They are absolutley AMAZING! This time Glock needed to be sedated for nail trimming and again, they took their time with him and were able to keep his stress level to a minium and got the job done!! I am so thankful for this place <3

Dr. Bailey was patient, friendly, and informative. I came to Critter Sitters because my cat was experiencing respiratory distress- having trouble breathing and unable to eat or drink water. I really appreciated how Dr. Bailey took XRays and showed me the images, explaining why my cat's lungs looked a certain way, and that my cat has asthma. She took a lot of time to answer my questions. This was the best vet experience I've had in town, and also the most affordable, and I will be using Critter Sitters as my vet of choice. Thank you!

After picking up both of my dogs from boarding, I noticed two cuts on one of my dogs back legs along with a red rash on her back paw. While giving my other dog a bath when I got home, there were spots of blood on the towel after I dried him. I wasn't notified of any issues when picking them up which leads me to believe something happened that was not explained to me. Do not trust this place enough to bring either dogs back. Never had any issues at any other dog boarding places so not sure what happened here...

We cannot thank the team here enough for literally saving our boy Jed’s life. We were 1600 miles away from home camping about 35 minutes away from Gunnison when Jed suddenly was not well vomiting and unresponsive. We called every emergency vet in the area as soon as we got into cell reception and were told they could not see him; I’ve never heard of emergency vets turning away a dangerously ill animal. On a whim I desperately called Critter Sitters and they said bring him in even though they were closing in 15 minutes. The staff was so informative and immediately got to work and started surgery that evening. Everyone was generally concerned for him and showed him love in our absence. We are eternally grateful to all of you. ❤️

Back in October we were elk hunting opening weekend. Everything was going well beside the fact that no one filled their tags... we were out there for a week straight... on the last day while we were packing up everything to leave our black lab was running up an embankment and somehow managed to get a 6 inch stick in between his toes all the way up into his elbow joint.When we finally had service I called everywhere. No one had time to squeeze him in, it would’ve been faster driving all the way back to woodland park then it would for him to be seen somewhere else. FINALLY after calling multiple places and being told no or mayyybe tomorrow, Critter Sitters saved the day. I was so thankful, my 2 year old has never had anything wrong with so this was very scary for all of us.The staff and doctor here are amazing. Thank you so much for helping us out in our time of need!

This is the only vet or boarding I will use for my dog. They treated us very well when we had our previous dog who unfortunately passed away, but it was a very humbled experience even though an unfortunate time was at hand. The team there is very knowledgeable and the owners are awesome individuals. Again, this is the only place I'll never take my dogs to for boarding especially for vet consultation. The entire staff gets a very respectful 👍👍👍

Unfortunately, my experience with pet boarding at Critter Sitters was terrible. I'm writing to complain about the recent stay of our pet cats at Critter Sitters during the Thanksgiving holiday break. When we came to pick up our cats, the staff couldn't locate the cat food we had brought specifically for their stay. After several failed attempts, they finally identified the right cat food following our descriptive instructions, but we discovered that out of the 8 cans of cat food we supplied -- 1 can for each night's stay -- 2 cans remained unused. It became clear to us that our cats weren't fed properly for at least 2 nights.After we brought our cats home, we saw that one of them had clearly lost weight -- and out of the two, he's the bigger eater and gains weight easily. The other started experiencing nonstop diarrhea. We also noticed that one of the pillows we brought back was smeared with diarrhea, which made us suspect that the diarrhea had been ongoing during the break. Our second cat didn't have any problems like this leading up to the stay at Critter Sitters, but based on past experience, he does tend to get diarrhea when fed food that isn't his own. Given everything that happened, we suspect our cats weren't carefully taken care of, especially in regards to food.This was our first pet boarding experience at Critter Sitters, and it's been very disappointing and upsetting. I was impressed with how disorganized the place seemed to be. With all the history of pet boarding this place has, I had really expected the staff to have clear instructions on feeding, especially in cases where pets have needs for specific foods they're accustomed to. Needless to say, we won't be going back.I emailed these concerns to Critter Sitters a week ago, and I haven't received any response to date. I guess that means they aren't afraid of receiving one bad review, so here it is.

I’ve been using various kenneling facilities for 20+ years in several states and abroad. The staff here truly care about my fur kids and they will be back. They went above and beyond during the holiday to ensure the comfort of all the animals in their care. The dual kennel/vet is extremely convenient and you can rest assured they are in great hands! The prices are unbeatable and our dogs are now being seen by the vet on an annual bases for checkups and they are my favorite kennel anytime we will be in the Gunnison area.

Our dog loves going to doggie day care! The staff is fantastic and takes great care of her. I appreciate the time they spend with her working on her manners and other interactions. The socialization has been such a positive experience. Also, the large kennels with indoor/outdoor access are nice when she does need an overnight stay.

Oh, how I love Critter Sitters! On our drive to Doggie Daycare, he gets so excited about going there! I knew he would be a happy dog during boarding when I had surgery. Love Critter Sitters! My dog was a patient there for about two years. He went to doggy daycare a few times a week and stayed multiple times for overnight boarding.
