City Market Pharmacy serves so many people in (and out) of our valley and they work so hard to make everyone happy! I could tell a major shift in the efficiency, friendliness and overall quality of picking up a script as soon as Garrett started working here. He handles the high demand with a kind heart and is always caring of each individual. It feels more smooth and easy to pick up prescriptions knowing Garrett is running the pharmacy now!

Edit: it is with great dismay that I write this, but after refusing to fill my prescriptions, I filed a complaint against Garrett, and his boss, Hillary, retaliated by banning me from ALL City Market pharmacies. I no longer think the following review is relevant:Pharmacists Garrett, Bre, and Stephanie, as well as Techs Tanya and Adam, are awesome at what they do! They have patiently handled many a curve ball that I've thrown at them during my struggles with psychiatric medication management. Good work guys!

Garrett, Bre, Stephanie, Tanya and the rest of their amazing team are what a pharmacy should be. This pharmacy pretty much caters for Gunnison county. It’s a large pharmacy but they always try and make the time for a smile even with 20 foot lines to cater to. Bre, Garrett and Stephanie always ask how you are doing. They have genuine concern for your care. I hope Gunnison City market knows how lucky they are to have the team they do in that pharmacy. We have lived in the valley for 22 years and have seen a lot of staff come and go in that department. Garrett and Bre bring a professionalism, a knowledge, a genuine kindness and an energy that had been lacking for quite some time. Thank you for working so hard. We so appreciate you!

This is the best pharmacy in Gunnison and I’ve lived here almost half my life! Getting all my vaccines during the pandemic was smooth and painless. More recently, Garrett was so helpful and answered all my questions and eased my concerns. Definitely recommend!

All pharmacies have a wait time. We live in a small town. The volume of prescriptions they do is double than cities that are twice our size with half the staff. Corporations staff based on towns population not influx of tourists. They do the best they can do with what they have. I have found if you smile at the staff, say please and thank you..you are treated very kindly.

They are actually really really nice, sometimes there are days it may seem to us as customers that we are being put on the back burner but we have to bare with them, they are short staffed but they are trying. If we just show a little bit of kindness especially when it's hard for us to it may change a lot. I take insulin and right now my dose's are changing like no other and they have to process it and also get approved by the insurance and unfortunately that can be a process as well as them having to make sure the dose's are right on top of other things for our safety as customers. Try to bare with them showing kindness may get you that same kindness after all they are only human just like all of us, it gets really busy there and the few who do remain there I'm thankful for because they are trying. They have to serve many many people from Gunnison and other places with many different needs and requirements/illnesses. From my experience I've had good days and bad, if you have let's say a life savings medication you need try to call it in 24 to even 48 hours or even earlier if you're insurance will allow them to fill it. Just remember, they are trying their best.

Yes, the wait can be 20-30 minutes. Yes, that can feel tedious if you have regular prescriptions to pick up. There are only two pharmacies serving Gunnison, Crested Butte, and the surrounding 50-mile radius, so they are busy! But the staff here is friendly and helpful, I’ve never had a bad interaction with any of them, and I’m very happy with the service here.

Absolutely love the girls here! Always super helpful. Your prescriptions are not fast food, so don't be rude and act like the sky is freaking falling if you have to wait. I've never had to wait more than 20-30 minutes. I always feel welcomed.

The pharmacist was very helpful and nice. Not only that but , helped me navigate coupons and discounts because prescription is not cheap without insurance. You can tell they care about there job much more than what is expected of them❤️🙏

Pharmacist (Stephanie) laughed out loud when I asked her for information about national programs authorized by congress for free or reduced cost PReP to prevent HIV — she said it wasn’t her job to know that. What a professional. Asking a question about preventing a life threatening disease shouldn’t draw a laugh.

I WISH THIS PHARMACY WAS IN MY HOMETOWN! I was on vacation and needed a prescription filled ASAP. The staff got it done immediately, answered my questions, and were courteous through the whole transaction. Also the total cost for 3 mos was equivalent to what it costs me for 1 mo at my local pharmacy.

Moved here about 3 months ago. Recently found a doctor and needed some prescriptions. I've used Kroger pharmacies for years but this City Market has too many problems. They tell you a medication will be ready by 8 pm. I come to pick the next dayThey tell me they are out of stock it will be Monday.So far every time I've come there's a problem. And then having to wait in line over and over for the same thing. I'll be transferring all prescriptions

My family’s medications are never ready when the pharmacy says they will be. Our family has had to go without our medications for weeks over the past year because the pharmacy is so late at filling it. It often takes 2-3 visits to the pharmacy to get our medications. I have spoken with the pharmacists multiple times and they just shrug and say too bad. Missing our medications could leave us in the ER but no one here seems to care. Please avoid using CityMarket Pharmacy at all costs!!!!! No one knows what they are doing there.

Tried to fill a controlled substance prescription at this pharmacy. My doctor approved it, my prescription Service approved it and my local pharmacy and BOULDER approved it. We tried to move it up one extra day from a “controlled substance pick up” but this pharmacy would not allow it although all these other three entities said it was approved and fine. I explained to the pharmacist and Gordon (Jordan?) who was the assistant manager at the time ...that we were not staying in Gunnison and had to pick up come back to pick up the prescription. He said “sorry that’s the way this pharmacy works” and “have a merry Christmas.” Very very disappointing.

Never coming here again if I can avoid it. I felt like an inconvenience. There was zero empathy or sympathy. Marty was curt and rude and the pharmacist didn't help much to that extent. Your patients expect care and caring individuals

Always the worst experience at this pharmacy. There is this one elderly woman that has worked the front register there for years, she is always very unpleasant and nasty to customers. There are also high wait times - usually an hour for any prescription. Go to Walmart pharmacy next door. Nicer service and 20 min and under wait times.
