My boyfriend had booked a last minute night out for us at the Green Mountain Falls Lodge... We had never even heard of it and we only lived 30 minutes away. We just found out we are having a baby so we wanted to celebrate. My boyfriend mentioned that when booking our stay and Green Mountain showed us so much love by upgrading us to the most beautiful cabin with a hot tub in the room. They took the time to say congratulations even... Don't judge a book by its cover, the lodge looks dated because it is dated!! and that is what made our stay so awesome! Thank you Green Mountain ! we will be back!Rooms: CleanFood & drinks: Awesome breakfast place called the Pantry

Very accommodating. Upgraded our room for free. Responded quickly. A safe place to stay. Very beautiful grounds. Dog bags for puppy. Very quiet and peaceful. Balcony connected to room, nice touch. Lots of windows. Free hulu. Room contained all kitchen amenities: big fridge, microwave, electric stove, sink. Very nice people.Food & drinks: They suggested local places to eat! Very highly rated places, we stopped at one called The Pantry.

This place is great! I was looking for a place to stay when all the campgrounds nearby were full, and was able to get a room here for the night. They even gave me a better room for the price of a cheaper one! The room had a jacuzzi, mini kitchen, tv, wifi, ac, balcony, etc. It was like having my own little apartment for the night. Even had plates and silverware. The bed was also super comfortable! The man on the phone was also very nice and helpful. Definitely would recommend staying here! :)

Cozy little room! It’s was a perfect quick getaway from reality. The location is perfect (deer came right up to “welcome” me!), service was great, and the room was perfectly cozy for me. I received a call welcoming me and also an email with all the information needed to access the room. I would not hesitate to book again for another night away.

no stars, I have stayed at a lot of hotels and lodges, this was by far the worst kept place I have ever walked into, the place was abandoned, except an old dog laying in the lobby in a urine socked pillow, the place looked like a hoarder manages the place. upon calling for a refund, nonrefundable is what we were told.I have no idea how this place passes any kind of health inspection. I would recommend staying as far away from this place as possible, pay no attention to the photos, place probably hasn't looked like since the early 70's. A demolition crew is in order.Safety: stairs are very run down, it does have a wheelchair ramp. not sure the condition of that, five minutes in the property and we ran for the hills.

I am warning you not to stay here. It costs a lot of money for what you get, which is mediocre parking and a small room with a locked door. The towels and sheets were pretty good. Don't fall prey to the lovely photographs, they are misleading. The room is small, the "private balcony" is shared. There are carpet stains and the room smelled of cigarette smoke. We had no hot water the one night we stayed there, but there was hot water in the morning and there are no grab bars in the bathroom with a very deep tub/shower that is awkward to get into and out of, and no shower curtain. Don't plan to cook more than ramen in the kitchenette. They supplied coffee, but no creamer of any sort. This is not a lodge where folks hang out, or people who work are around to help you. It is a keyless entry system and no staff are on-hand to welcome you answer your questions. We paid for 3 nights and left after the first night and did not get any of our money back.

It's a lovely place. I suffered from altitude sickness and had to stay put in our room. It had a full kitchen that was great. My only problem was the TV kept timing out. The next to the last day it worked great from then on. I sat out out on the balcony most of the time and the view was spectacular! The eating places in town were fantastic. The little shop that had jewelry and pottery was also fantastic. If I can figure out the altitude thing I'd go back in an instant.Food & drinks: The 2 places we went to were wonderful. Great flavor, portions and prices quite reasonable.

Don't book until you really understand what it is. It's fine, the room was clean, the bed nice, and the shower hot. But, basically it is a self check in to an abandoned building under construction in the middle of nowhere. I was on my own, so I was cool, and kind of amused. But, the bolt on my door didn't work, and you let yourself in with a code (there is no reception or anyone on the property). I was the only one there (cue spooky music). Not for the nervous.....

0/10 experience. By far the worst "hotel" I have ever stayed in. There was no staff in the building or nearby and it appeared to be closed down or abandoned. The check in process was confusing and after getting to our room it was severely unkept and dirty with piping sticking out of the flooring and the lights and locks did not work well. After uncovering the bed sheets we found mounds of clumped up hair and debris along with what appeared to be bed bug larva covering the sheets and the room smelled very bad. I'd highly recommend anyone that wants to feel even slightly comfortable or cares about their family and money to not come here and if there's issues with your room YOU WILL NOT GET A REFUND NO MATTER WHAT. Never stay here unless you want to completely waste your money, or better yet save money and sleep in an abandoned building; either way you'd get the same experience.

Upon entering the room, it was obvious that the room had not been cleaned after the previous guests. The bedding was used, a dirty cotton swab on the comforter, trash can full of trash, dirty dishes in the sink, dirty towels in the bathroom and to top it off, there was hair in the tub. The only positive thing I can say is that when the co-owner was notified about the condition of the room, he called me to apologize and agreed to give Travelocity a refund and I am waiting for a refund back to the card I used.Rooms: The website stated that it was a deluxe double room but it was half the size of a studio apartment. There was a bathroom, tiny section connected to the room with the bed for kitchen appliances. That's all for $250 per night

I booked a stay here for two days last minute as we were on vacation and had a medical emergency. I called to confirm availability and Tim was very helpful in making sure I knew all of the features of each option. The checkin process was mostly nonexistent, they send a text with the room number and the code to get in, I personally enjoyed the lack of socialization. I ended up arriving later than planned and my room was still being cleaned (this is why I didn’t give 5 stars) I called and Tim set me up with a different room, I have seen several reviews about Tim and I am here to let you know people have bad days, my experience with Tim was nothing less than stellar. It was a rough day and he had no clue, but his being so kind really turned things around. There are several sections of balcony all around the building for Mountain View’s. *the balcony is 4/20 friendly* so if you’re here for that this place is a great option within driving distance to anything you may need.

Room was okay, smaller than expected and had no closet or dresser to put clothes. Rented the room with the jetted tub and it apparently leaked to the room below and the maintenance had to come fix it the next day. Was inconvenient but these things happen. Overall I would stay here again because of the location, but feel it was overpriced.

I stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms it was the perfect location with high speed internet so I could get my work done and right at the trailhead for hiking after work. They don't have an attended check-in but send you the information to get into your room before you arrive which is handy unless you don't get it check for it or contact them that's why I gave a little lower rating on the service. It's a small historical property with only a few rooms and breakfast at the Pantry was great and loved the Blue Moose a couple of minutes walk away for drinks.

This is a difficult review… The place is fascinating, as it is a historical stage coach inn. The rooms are quite nicely remodeled, such that they were attractive and comfortable. The check in, however, was clumsy, with a strange handoff of once the room is ready, your key is left on the nightstand. Seems like a weird left over from a pandemic era that most people think has gone by us. In sum, perhaps a little on the expensive side, very nice rooms, beautiful location, and a little rough around the edges as far as managing the stay that one has.

Zero stars. Tim was so unbelievably unprofessional, disrespectful and condescending. We booked a reservation at 4:00pm, arrived at 5:00pm to find no one available on the property. We spent 10 minutes walking around the hotel in the dark and the cold, walked through a door that read “entrance” and still no one was there. No cars in the parking lot. We called the number listed on the hotel website four times with no answer. Attempted to message the hotel on the Expedia website with no response. After giving up and driving 2 hours back home, we spoke with Expedia who directed us to the hotel where we had the unfortunate experience of speaking with Tim. Not only would he not listen to anything we had to say, he became so frustrated that he stated “well never mind, you’ll never get a refund.” Another half hour on the phone with Expedia they were only able to provide a $75 voucher to our account because Tim flat out refused to offer a refund. I highly recommend avoiding this business unless you’re sure you can avoid any issues that would require decent customer service.

Absolutely awful experience. The room smelled like weed, which was coming from the room underneath us. When we called to complain, apparently the person underneath us was “the manager”. She appeared to be throwing a party and screaming at the top of her lungs along with her guest. There was also a chain immediately outside of our door that kept banging against our door during Highwinds. It was not only the worst day ever angry Mountain Falls, but it was also extremely noisy and uncomfortable. The chain kept hitting every 30 to 45 minutes, and I have attached a picture of the giant yellow chain next to our door. We hardly got any sleep and left early the next morning. There is absolutely no comp on the side of the company and they just acted as if nothing had happened and charged us the regular fee. Also there was no refund for our pack, who is completely clean and housebroken.Let’s not also forget the terrifying and flimsy wooden stairs that lead up to the rooms. There is absolutely nowhere that states that there is an entrance in the back so that you don’t need to use those stairs. I am terrified of heights and I had no idea that this back entrance existed. This just added to the horrendous experience.I would pass this hotel and move on to another one in the area, there are plenty beautiful hotels that are much better. No weed smell, no noisy neighbors, and will certainly comp the night during such a horrible experience

We were in town and needed a place to stay. Booked this hotel through Expedia. Showed up and there was no one to be seen. Walked around the entire building trying to get in and there was no access. Tried calling the number online for the hotel and messaging through Expedia with no response. After driving hours to stay somewhere else we called again and they finally answered. Tim was extremely disrespectful to me about the whole situation and refused to try to even attempt to contact management to get me a refund even though I had received no service from this establishment. I’ve never had a worse hotel experience.

Room was soaked in fragrance not a little but sheets everything bed plus candles was so bad got into our clothes luggage. Husband had headaches I had asthma attack. Was like your little old great grandma let loose with her dollar store fragrance can.

In one word, exceptional! The first impression was fantastic! An authentic but yet modern lodge with very clean and classy rooms with a great view and location close to downtown. Next to that the service was amazing! 24/7 service and all your needs will be met if possible. We have enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back next summer.

Room 3 has a bad slope to it. Three plugs in the kitchen don't even work. Space heater is all we had for heating. Water started leaking from the ceiling from the room above us and you can tell where water has done this before by water damage in the kitchen. Notified the desk and they said something to the effect that they had it fixed. There is a window that doesn't stay shut. Don't expect to check out early and get a refund, though their site says this. Will never stay here again!

My husband and I recently spent 3 nights at the Green Mountain Falls Lodge, what an amazing place! The views are absolutely beautiful, the room was exceptionally clean and the bed was very comfortable. Quiet and scenic with plenty of wildlife around. A huge thanks to Lance the Lodge manager. He went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and provided excellent customer service! We will be returning to The Green Mountain Falls Lodge on our next trip to Colorado! Don't hesitate to stay here, you will not be disappointed!!Tim and Mindy Rouse
