We brought our Husky in for a visit and everyone was great! From the moment we arrived she was treated as if she was part of their own family. All the procedures were explained beforehand and they made us feel comfortable with every decision. I know pet emergencies are almost as scary as when our children have them, now with having both I’m glad we found the staff here at PETS Emergency Hospital. They definitely made lifelong patients out of our family.

Everyone who worked with our kitty was so patient, well informed, kind, and professional. I really cannot thank this team enough for the high quality and thorough care provided to our sweet girl, Bella. Thank you for putting this anxious cat mom at ease! If you bring your pet here, know they are in good hands <3

I have taken both my dog and cat to PETS Emergency hospital in the last year, and each time they are incredible. Most recently, I had my diabetic senior cat in who was in a life threatening situation. Dr. Dunn and staff were unbelievable. From the knowledge and experience—but most of all—the “bedside manner.”They had to relay some very difficult information about my sick kitters, and did so with such empathy. They gave me all the info I needed to make informed decisions about his care, never rushing or pressuring me one way or another. We had to leave our cat overnight, and they provided continual updates on his progress and let us visit. Each time we came to the clinic, Dr. Dunn always took the time to meet with us and answer any questions or concerns we had.I felt like Singer wasn’t just another patient; he was truly cared for. Especially bc he is a bit spicy and doesn’t like being away from home. Everyone did their best to meet his needs, and had so much patience. I can’t thank you enough.

This place was fantastic! They got me in right away. They made me feel very comfortable with my decisions that had to be made with my fur baby. Dr. Lee Is so professional, and absolutely amazing !! Sammy is the perfect face for this company. She’s so friendly, funny and so professional and will do her best to keep you calm any situation. I can truly say I really appreciated them both.. Thank you so much! Between Sammy and Lee, they make the perfect team from what I saw!! I will recommend this hospital to Anyone.. And considering the circumstances being an emergency situation, the price was very reasonable!!

They were able to see my dog right away and provide a correct diagnosis almost immediately. While the cost of the office visit is double a regular vet visit, it was as expected for emergency services and was explained to me on the phone as well as with signage upon check in. All procedures were explained in detail along with pricing. I felt they were extremely transparent! Just like a visit to the ER doesn't cost the same as a checkup with your doctor, it shouldn't be expected to be different with animal care.Otto is doing well, and while we hope to not have need of emergency treatment again, we would return if needed!

What I thought would be a routine surgery turned out to be an incredible discovery. My sweet girl Maple was operated by the doctors at PETS, they explored her during her spay and found her intestines having some difficulty and a mass in her uterus. I’m so grateful I trusted them and no one else to take care of my dog. Because of them, my Maple is recovered, happy and healthy

I brought my dog in. He was in very bad condition, and I wasn’t sure if he was even alive. I knew about the $165 exam fee but they tried charging $980 upfront without even knowing anything. They also came right back out and asked if I wanted to do CPR then told me they need $600 or $700 to start CPR. Why would CPR cost that much? My poor dog passed away before I walked in the door and they tried getting $1,000 out of me immediately. I can’t imagine what it would be if he would have lived. This place seems more money hungry than anything.

DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE!!!!!We brought our dog on Easter day because he had a laceration that was almost an inch deep on his leg and definitely needed stitches. No other place was open so we had to go to them even though they have terrible ratings. They charged us like crazy, made us pay a ridiculous fee just to see him. We paid over $400 just to have them wrap a bandage around his leg and give him antibiotics, that was it. They tried to charge us almost 2 grand to have him stitched up. We found someone else today Who did everything for $600 max.If you can help it do not bring your pet here.

Wonderful team at Pets ER! I went in, in a panic, my 1yr old cat was badly attacked by another animal. Pets ER immediately took action and informed me about the CareCredit, which I applied for right away. The team took great care of me & my cat, who is well on his way to a full recovery. The next day i went back with concerns, they explained it was free of charge since it was still within 24 hours. I couldn't be me satisfied with this experience. Again, thank you to everyone!

I hope the owner of this place has a major reality check. Not only do they immediately request payment BUT while my dog was actively passing away they requested a MINIMUM of $1000 just to check what might have been happening.. no options for payment plans or financing. Basically said if you can’t pay it then you can take your dog home and watch it pass away..Once they confirmed that we were looking at euthanasia of my dog of 11 years once again they immediately requested payment…Greedy is an understatement and unprofessional is a pretty relaxed word. Please save yourself and your pet the heart break of ever going here.

I can not say enough about the vet and staff at this location. Well above and beyond in time of need. Including staff shedding tears. Comforting and not once being negative about the multiple visits at all hours to spend time with fatally ill family member. Thank you for being there in this devastating time in our families life and the comfort and empathy you have all shown.

I miss yall so much! This team and doctors are truly unremarkable. Proud to say that I was able to stand by such a great set of people. They strive so much to find the root of the problem on why pets are in the emergency in the first place. The amount of love and care they put into what they do goes unnoticed, but let me tell you PETS emergency you guys never loss faith in how truly amazing you all are! Much love your way! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

I am sad to have to write this review, as I do not make this a habit. But my sadness and discontent have proven necessary to share.I contacted PETS Emergency Hospital around 6am on a Tuesday, after being beside my 1st time mama Yorkie during her 1st delivery of a confirmed 5 pups. I sat up with her throughout the night for the first 2 delivered pups and supported her with the difficulty of delivering the next 3. When I contacted the PETs ER they encouraged me to bring her in because 4 hours was a very long time between deliveries and a C-section may be necessary. I immediately transported mama and the 2 pups to their facility. Yes, I was required to pay the up front 165$ upon entry, which I was totally okay with to get her the help she needed. After a quick evaluation of her situation, I was approached with an estimate of what it could cost to perform an emergency C-section (over 5,000.00$). I of course made all the necessary arrangements with a new care credit card to cover at least 4000.00 and gave them one of my own credit cards for the remainder. I was then sent home.I received a call about an hour later stating that my mama pup just needed hydration and had delivered the 3rd pup without any problems. I was grateful for this news and waited to hear further progress. About an hour later, I received another call saying that the 4th pup had been delivered, but mama was very stressed out and had chewed part of the pups toes off and tip of her tail during the placenta and afterbirth consumption. Also, that mama had pulled too hard on the umbilical cord and almost pulled it completely off. They had pictures to show me how they had to amputate the toes, but the pup seemed fine. I was again contacted when the final ,5th, pup was delivered and was asked to come get my babies. The cost was immediately reduced to just over 1300.00$ and I was given some antibacterial wipes to use on the 4th pup for her belly button and toes, with directions not to get the medication directly in the wound. The following day I took all 5 pups to a regular doctor to perform the tail docking and a wellness check on all the pups. This went well and all had a clean bill of health. I was informed that it was unfortunate about the toes of the 4th little girl.Around the end of the 4th day, the 4th little girl was showing signs of not thriving and had low body temperature. That evening we started bottle feeding her and tried to bring her back to a fighting stance, but her liver had already shut down from the belly button infection and we lost her the next morning. My biggest concern was when I contacted the PETS ER the following day to inquire into who was with my new mama and the delivery of these babies. I was on the floor with the first two ready to intervene when needed, but I was not there for the last 3 deliveries. How could someone not have been near her in her time of stress and need when she was frantically chewing up her baby? Who was allowing this to happen? Why were they so quick to get rid of my pups after delivery? Did they even take any vital weights or information on my pups? NO. When I called the next day to ask, I was told they would look into this incident and get back to me, but it has been over a week and I have not heard anything from them. I paid my dues and asked for confirmation and they have just kicked me to the side like another number. I am out 1300$ and the price of this lost pup and I feel betrayed by this ER for not reaching out to me. I want to believe in their services, but they are not giving me much assurance.Sad day!!

I have had two experiences with PETS. I would rate them 5 stars for both. The staff was so gentle and caring with my Amelia when I took her in for a wound on her ear. They sent her home all cleaned up and with her favorite treat, a kitty Churo. They are an emergency vet so I was expecting the high cost for care. It makes sense to me that emergency care is more expensive. They were very upfront with how much treatment is going to cost and how pricing works. I’m glad to have PETS close by in case of emergencies.

This place and these people are AMAZING. They get busy but remain very patient and personable. We had a preeminent issue arise with our pup [Seamus] and the care and attention he received there was above any expectation I had. He was there for a little over 5 days as they addressed the issue, continued to give quality care and attention, and remained in communication with us frequently. We were able to progress his health back to normal and continue home and care we are confident our pup will make a full recovery, all thanks to the entire team here at PETS ER. Thank you all for your dedicated work and for treating each animal as your own. I could not have asked for better care.

Took our dog here for ear problem. $350 later they didn't even clean her ears, basically they did NOTHING!!. They take advantage of the love you have for your pet then charge you an arm and a leg for a minor ear yeast infection. Rediculous!!! Wait for your private vet to open if you can. I wish we would have waited but we wanted to help our fur baby.

So incredibly thankful for this facility and their compassionate staff. Everyone was so kind and empathetic. It often feels like most vets nowadays lose their compassion for animals and don’t treat them with the respect they deserve, but not this place (at least the night crew). The doctor helped us carry our sweet girl over the rainbow bridge, and we’re grateful that she went over peacefully.

Unfortunately they are the only 24/7 emergency vet close by. Overall good but the part that has made me give only 3 stars is before hands are on the animal or before you go into a room they ask for a payment and if the animal is really sick they double it. It like your an emergency vet there should only be office fee and damn have some compassion and don’t ask for money before ever caring for the animal. I thought vets did their jobs bc they love animals but seemed to me they loved the money way more. And lastly how the heck is it right that it cost just as much or more in bills for my dog as what I pay to care for a PERSON. I can’t wait till the bill happens and gives all vets a cap that they can charge.Rant done.

Had to take 2 of our dogs in. The care they gave us was excellent. They called the next day and followed up to make sure our babies where still doing well. They where upfront with all cost of care. Which we found to be reasonably priced, especially for emergency care.

You would think a vet hospital who cares so deeply about dogs would jump to save a dying puppy, but wouldn’t do anything until they swiped the card for $4k. Wouldn’t even start helping the poor dog while our entire family panicked to find the funds to save our dying pet. With no where else to go at such late hours we felt like there was no choice. After paying just a $4000 deposit (yeah that was just the first fee.. don’t even get me started on how much my card is being charged for) they told us twice a day how much better he was doing and then now that our bill is up for our “48 hour fee” they want to keep him and charge me double what I already paid! I wish I never came here. My dog still might not even survive after the thousands and thousands I’ve thrown at these people. They only care about the money here.

This place is amazing. I highly recommend them. Unfortunately while my baby Luna was there she passed away but they were so helpful and so nice it made this horrible experience a little better. Before anything happened when I called them they were super helpful and while I was there they made me feel very welcome and comfortable. Once my kitty passed they allowed my partner and I to say goodbye to her and help us decide what to do as far and cremation. It was all a very easy process and I cannot thank all the staff enough for that, they even sent us a card giving condolences for our loss. It was beautiful. This place is great. Thank you.

The care we received from PETS Emergency Hospital, while having to put down our beloved cat, Coal, was so professional and caring. And then, they sent us a beautiful handwritten card afterwards. We can’t be more pleased with how they helped us through this difficult experience.

These guys have to deal with a lot, yet they still camly and carefully care for each patient that comes in. I have never had a bad experience here. They are a triage unit, which means they care from the most sick and injured animals first. It can be frustrating waiting for a long time if you do not understand that. My only complaint is that they should check in more and he'll set wait expectations. They have been short staffed lately, but they do the best they can. I still recommend them because of the care they provide.

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS MONEY!! My dog was having a hard time breathing and this was the only place open they required $165 just to see her for an exam had they done a thorough job at her exam and her symptoms they would have known she had masticatory muscle myositis, that going untreated is fatal to dogs. Instead they wanted to try and charge us another $900 just to do bloodwork and X-rays that were not needed to diagnose her. They were trying to tell us she had kennel cough had we continued giving her the cough medicine and not looked for help elsewhere my dog would have died because they didn’t care about actually examing her they just cared about trying to squeeze every penny they could out of us. I’ll never go back to this place and I would never recommend it to anyone.

This place upset me so much. My bulldog CLEARLY had a simple ear infection and after listening to only his heart, they came back with an estimate of over $1,000! I paid them $160 and got absolutely nothing for my money.

We took our new kitten here and sat in the parking lot for 2 hours after paying the 160$ exam fee. We explained what was going on and the vet tech came out and looked in her mouth and said that she was “triaging” and that our cat was “stable” so she was fine even though she was stressed and breathing rapidly. Other people went ahead of us when we had arrived first. She came back after two hours and said that we had to pay an additional 120$ for a test for something that our cat showed no symptoms or signs for because she might be “infectious” so they would have to put us in a special room. We called another vet while we were in the parking lot and asked if what this clinic was doing was normal and they told us it wasn’t so we decided to drive the extra 30 minutes because they didn’t take payment until after our cat was treated which is what’s supposed to happen. The same test that PETS told us we needed that was 120$ was literally 70 at the other vet too. The other vets office was also partnered with Thrive as well so for them to take an upfront exam fee without even seeing the animal is actually ridiculous. Not to mention I asked to be refunded and a day later I still don’t have the refund in my account. Really unhappy with the result of our “visit” not only was it a massive waste of time that our pet could have been getting care but also having a vet recommend a test without even looking at our cat is unprofessional. Which the test they recommended was a big fat negative at the other vet so again a waste of time. Don’t bother. Drive to Windsor.

To sum it up: 3 stars. The people working there are extremely kind and understanding. Just double check you have the money to afford them($$$ and up) and the time to spend being there (expect at least 3-5 hours minimum). My partner and I came in around 5pm on Sunday, Nov. 12th with our cat who had fallen out of our 4th story window. We were told we were the only ones in the building, and that they would see to our cat right away. The staff who greeted us when we arrived were ready to receive our cat right out of our hands and start taking care of her. We mentioned that our cat was experiencing some abnormal breathing, so they opted to put her in an oxygen cage. When they put her in the cage, they presented us with our vet bill. The vet bill itself was higher than we we're expecting (considering we know what our primary vet would have charged us for a simple exam fee, getting stabalized, etc...). We were given payment options, but they made it very clear that they would not start anything else for her until we were able to pay them out front. We asked them to walk us through each charge, and the nurses very kindly did. They walked us through each item in the list and explained why they were doing that. I appreciated that. However, once that was all said and done, we took off to run errands, take care of our other pets,etc.. while they took care of her. We left around 6:30pm. We called them back at 8:20pm, and they hadn't even started on seeing her. She was just sitting in the oxygen cage for 4 hours with nothing done. We made sure they were not charging us by the hour if nothing was happening, and they reassured us of that. By the time X-rays, blood work, and a small procedure we finally went home at 3am. We arrived at 5pm on Nov. 12 and got to bring our cat home finally at 3am on Nov. 13th. That is almost 10 hours after her fall, and a good portion of the time she was there she was sitting in the oxygen box. Unfortunately due to come complications, we had to outsource some other opinions and set up an appointment to get our cat surgery after leaving PETS. Leaving at almost 3am with a cat who still had little to no relief is really hard. After PETS took several hours to send our X-rays and blood work to our other sources, we were told by 2 other vet clinics that our cat had a broken front toe. This was something we were NOT made aware of when leaving PETS at 3am. Which was surprising to us considering how long we were there.HOWEVER, I would like to thank Carole Roman and Lindsey Dunn. Both vets helped our cat, as they were doing a shift change shortly after we arrived. Both of them were extremely knowledgeful, understanding, and caring towards our cat. Lindsey made sure to let us know that they were going to switch over to Carole Roman, and walked all of us through the next steps. The vet techs that I did not catch the names of were all helpful. They were honest, gave clear answers, provided support, and were great with hospitality. I would like that to be know.Overall, PETS Emergency Hospital would not be my first choice if I had to bring my cats anywhere. The prices that they charge compared to other locations is on the higher end. If you are low income, or feel as though you will struggle to pay your vet bill, I do not recommend coming here. If you are wanting to go into a speedy Vet ER, I do not think this place would be the fastest. However, if we were to have another emergency and this was our only option, we would take them here. The care, though pricey (and human mistakes happen with missing things in an X-ray), was worth making sure our cat could make it through the next and the next day until surgery.

This place is amazing. I took my cat there for some stitches and they did beautifully and made my girl super comfortable during it all. The vet was amazingly helpful and explained everything super well. Made me feel comfortable and assured as they took care of her. Would recommend and come back if needed
