Birds cages are incredibly dirty, old poop in the water and all over the cages, they have nothing to keep the birds from getting bored or anxious. The betas have visible gas bubbles from bloat from poor water quality. Such a sad place, these poor critters deserve better. Store clerk couldn't stop what she was doing to help me locate an item. Less than a handful of customers in the store. Then when I called to talk to a manager, I'm pretty sure it was her that couldnt help me in the store. Kaitlyn was her name. Could have cared less, no appoligy. Said she would talk to her!!! She didn't even ask for a description of the sales clerk. So how would she know who to talk to, unless she's the guilty party.

Wish I could give them 0 stars!I'm trying to by a bed for my dog and it was supposed to be in stock. I got there and ofcourse not. I was told to order on line so I did. 9 days ago! I received an email when it was shipped and arrival date. I tracked the package when it didn't show up only to find out it was never shipped ! I called and after being put on hold twice they had no answers about my order. When or even if it would be shipped. OFCOURSE THEY TOOK MY MONEY! I was told that I would get a email within 48 hrs. So the email stated that they are looking into it with no help or answers of when or if it would be sent. Basically still uhWe don't know anything about your order after 9days. Nothing to say about how they will address orfix this . THERE STILL KEEPING THE MONEY THOUGH for the product they can't find and shipping that they said happen, but yet it never left there building.I wouldn't recommend them to anyone!If you care about your pet don't go there because they don't only your money!

Petco has a solid fish selection for a chain store. Even though I order most of my saltwater fish, I still pick some up here. Employees are friendly and helpful. The dollar a gallon deal for fishtanks is unbeatable. Great store.

I came in 05/19/2023 at 3:21 I came in looking at the lizards and I noticed one of the lizards were barely breathing. The poor lizard looks so sick , the others didn’t look as bad but they definitely weren’t healthy. There needs to be something done about this, different management forsure. This is so heartbreaking, I’m glad we saw it before a little boy or girl. Petco used to be at least decent, now I’ll never come back.

I was very disappointed in how this store took care of and kept their animals and fish. The tanks were full of feces and smelled. The fish tanks were so dirty that you couldn't even see the fish. When we asked to look at a gecko, the lady acted like we asked her to wash our car. Very rude and very unprofessional.

If you don't know where Petco is in Grand junction, make sure you use Google maps because it's sandwiched in a very tight traffic oriented strip mall. It can be very hard to miss. My only criticism of it for me, is that I find it hard to get to during all times of the day; other than that the people are friendly and you can find awesome deals if you look hard enough. In addition, they're loyalty program really saves you money when you're in a pinch and can't find the right dog food online to order. Lastly, it's great to take the kids, meaning my two beautiful German shepherds there so they can pick out their own treat in person so to speak!

I stopped in spontaneously but might be back more often due to the customer service. Nick was super helpful talking me through crate options and the advantages of each. Unfortunately, the one I wanted was more than I could spend. Happily, Nick was able to price match it and so I was able to get what I needed. He and Caitlin then made the checkout process super smooth. The pup and I are both grateful!

I placed an online day-of delivery order for kitten food that showed in stock in this store. Didn’t receive it the day of nor the day after. I tried calling the store and they would not answer their phone. I had to call corporate customer service who also tried calling with no answer. She originally told me I was going to have to cancel and replace the order to be delivered the next day only to find out they were out of stock and I wasn’t going to able to get it until 5 days after I placed my “day-of” order. If you’re going to screw over your customers at least answer the phone so they know what’s going on. Absolutely ridiculous.

I came in to purchase one bearded dragon, on the clock there were only two people, neither of which could help due to password/connection issues, so the person on his lunch break came out and helped me with what I needed, WHILE OFF THE CLOCK! He proceeded to help me twice, because I decided to purchase a second dragon while there, but by the second one he was back from lunch. Either way, all three of the people working were absolutely amazing, helpful, and ensured I got what I needed in a timely manner. I even offered to wait till he was completely done with his lunch break because I know what it's like to be understaffed and only one with clearance for something. I truly appreciate all their help. I wish I had names, but this happen between 4pm and 5pm on August 16th.

Got 2 rats and a new cage and everything they need. Petco is great, the only reason they didnt get 5 stars was because my wife had to walk all over the store to find an employee to help with the rats.

Petco is fun because you can take your dog shopping with you! My little guy has a lot of fun, siffing everything he could reach. They have an excellent variety of food, toys, and costumes for your best friend. They are a little pricey, but as people spend billions of dollars a year on their pets, it is to be expected. They also have a machine where you can customize a vanity tag for your pet. This tag came in very handy, yesterday, when my little guy took off running and we couldn't find him for over an hour. Fortunately, my phone number was on the tag and the people who found him were able to call me. This store is very clean and well organized, the two questions I had for staff were answered quickly and efficiently. Very polite, friendly group of people work here.

Nice store, stocked well. A suggestion for cats...if you are tired of cleaning up orange cat vomit, STOP FEEDING YOUR CATS "TEMPTATIONS" AND OTHER CHEAP CAT TREATS! Go to Petco and purchase Pet Greens, Cat Craves. Your cats will love them and will be healthy and stop vomiting😄YAY!

Had a Pomeranian groomed here to blend and correct his coat from a botched grooming from 2 yrs and 3 months ago at another site. I must say the groomer did a excellent job blending his coat to help make it look more uniform and hide the noe permanently damaged coat where he was SHAVED against all instructions and my Wishes.

The past few times I’ve been into this store to refill my cat litter, the refillbin has been empty. Today was the last straw. I asked for help and none came. As I walked out with my empty cartons, I told the cashier “you just lost a customer”!It’s no wonder Amazon is killing it for these poorly run “businesses”.I’d give ZERO stars if I could.

I didn't go in there for anything, we just went in to look around while we're waiting for our truck to get fixed. Got to say hello to the kitty cats and the birds. There was a lot of interesting lizards and spiders, its a pretty nice place. I like that the birds were in their own little zone so you didn't have to hear them or it was so that they didn't feel frightened by all the noise going on around the store. There was actually a large variety of fish, I didn't expect that, so that was a fun surprise. This place has a decent set-up and layout is easy to follow and find things.
