I Love this place!!!! How do I do they have everything and anything you need for your pet, but a lot more as well. The staff is very friendly and always courteous. And they are also very knowledgeable and educated on what you should give your pets as supplements or anything else. Your pet will definitely love this place and love you more if you shop here!!

My family LOVES coming here. It can be on the pricey side, but they offer a variety of all natural cat and dog food. We love how they have kitties you can go and visit, who are up for adoption. We also get our dog groomed here as well, it is like a one stop shop! Absolutely love it!!

Chow Down has exceeded our expectations as a resource for giving our dogs the best care possible. The entire staff is extremely caring and knowledgeable, but Autumn has been our primary caregiver. Autumn and Jay are exceptionally educated and knowledgeable about the latest research and findings in pet nutrition, supplies, and supplements and are clearly passionate about this. It was Autumn who introduced us to the idea of raw food and the latest in supplements, and the difference this has made in our dogs' health has been incredible.We recently lost one of our treasures, Roxy, due to a cancerous tumor in her bladder. Thanks to Autumn and Jay at Chow Down, we had an extra year with her. When our vet diagnosed our Roxy as having a tumor, I sent Autumn her blood test results, who shared them with Jay, the owner of Chow Down. Jay recommended an assortment of supplements and a change in her diet, which we firmly believe extended our time with her for over a year.When visiting our vet with one of our other dogs, he asked how Roxy was doing. He was completely surprised to hear that it had been a year since her diagnosis and that she was doing good. He said he had not seen a dog with her diagnosis live for over a few months.In addition to being up to date on the latest in supplements and nutrition, the staff at Chow Down are extremely caring and compassionate. When dealing with your pet's health and well-being, this means everything. We can't thank Jay, Autumn and the staff at Chow Down enough for the extraordinary care they give our pets and us. I have been a client of the Montrose Chow Down for years. My dogs were groomed and cut there every 2 weeks with no issue. I moved out of state for family issues for 3 years. Just moved back to Grand Junction 6 weeks ago and to my surprise Chow Down is in Grand Junction. Called them to set up my grooming and they gave me the number to Grooming by Alex. Had an appointment set up and I had a personal issue come up so I could not make the appointment. Text before the appointment and apologized. Went to reschedule and was set for the 25th. I guess the confirmation didn't go thru or Alex didn,t see me confirming. When I text today to confirm Alex she said and I qoute "Im sorry, I won't be able to accommodate you!! You've proven to be an unreliable client. Best of luck finding a groomer for your pups ! " end qoute. I am taken back and shocked that Chow Down who I actually spent $70.00 4/21/24 on dog treats for my puppies has deemed me an unreliable client. Kind of saddened by the whole ordeal because I was so excited to be able to shop Chow Down locally. And the staff yesterday was amazing.

Always a great place to shop. Staff is always nice, polite and very helpful. If someone doesn't have the answer to your question they find someone who does. Prices are about the same as else where, but the people makes it a place you will want to keep going back too.

We are incredibly fortunate to have a locally owned and operated pet store in our valley. Just so you know – staff is always available to assist. There is a fabulous variety of quality foods, treats for many furry animals, an abundance of toys, etc. We love having Chow Down in Grand Junction! And our Greyhound adjusted quickly to her new arm sleeve (licking hot spot)

Purchased 2 of the Molly Mutt crate covers today and I was very pleased with the store staff and how helpful they were and the products are such a great quality product! (If purchasing crate covers please measure your crate before going into the store) I was lucky and measured 1 and ended up having to guess on the other but it ended up being the correct size! They worked perfectly for our crates in our RV!!! Thank You!

OMG theses guys are the absolute best! They are not known and I am going to blast this everywhere. This is the best dog wash I have ever seen and even hear of. 2 rooms one with a ramp the other stairs. Everything you need even an apron to keep you dry. Find them, tell a friend, tell your family, tell your neighbors and tell your co workers and social circles. Find theses guys please I am disabled and there services are truly incredible and there staff has made me cry with all their help. Came to use the self service dog wash and was greeted by a super friendly staff, was provided not only a place to give my pup a bath, but also shampoo, towels, brushes and treats. There is also a dryer to use if your pup doesn't mind the noise it makes. Huge selection of treats and toys as well. Toys don't last too long with my pup but the 2 I bought here are still intact so totally worth the money I spent. Great place, amazing staff and I will definitely be back!!

I Love My Chowdown ❤️ My Yorkie is Better thanks to their help❤️ Thank You😘They are so helpful, friendly and they actually Care I’ve been going for years and I feel like family. Their Always there to helpRecently my 13 year old Yorkie is being more picky about his food and they gave me samples to hopefully figure out what he likes and I never thought of raw freeze dried. It’s the answer and thank you so much.The big bonus is he is also more active now too. So he’s feeling better!!!You’re All the very Best❤️

I brought my 6 week old pup, Rina, in and they helped with everything! From calming collars, training treats, substitute mom (stuffed animal) to Tuff toys & leads. She was given a treat to try at home that absolutely saved our furniture from chewing! They even have lifejackets for her kayaking trips with me! Love this business and have never had a less-than-wonderful experience! There are always more than enough people on deck to help you out and the deal with the free bag of food after buying so many bags is both smart business and a great value. We were overwhelmed with what to buy for our rescue when we first got her and they were so knowledgeable. They were so nice and gave us a generous amount of little sample baggies to help find the perfect kibble brand/flavor. I’m leaving a review today because we couldn’t find a specific product they thought they had in stock so they special ordered it for us and then called to let us know they did find one in stock and are setting it aside for us!

This store was awesome! I camped in to town to give my dog a bath after a bad tick infestation on her. The girls were sympathetic and caring. Two of them helped me comb through my dog to remove the ticks. They gave me a spray for my car. If I lived here, this would be the only pet store I would shop at!
