3/16/24 UpdateThey are going through a store remodel. It's being brought into 2024 😁 My old review covered the dated color scheme. We were in town for the weekend and picked up a few last minute items, including contact solution.Luckily, they had just what we needed. Great location too! There's also a pharmacy, Starbucks, money services desk, bakery, deli, and a floral area.We used self checkout and were in and out in no time.

Was pleasantly surprised by this grocery store. Owned by Kroger, you can use your Kroger Plus card and get discounts on purchases. Prices weren’t as crazy as you’d see in most resort grocery stores. Clean, plenty big, but not too big. Was there during an off peak week, don’t know what it’s like during peak spring break times.

I have to laugh at the commercials for their outstanding produce. If only they actually had some

This store is soo confusing. It isnt set up like your typical grocery store. They had all the condiments on the same aisle as the bread and the eggs were near the dairy in the back corner of the store but in an open area in the middle. They were obviously rearranging some things as there was a lot of workers there and a lot of noise. We arrived after 9pm so the deli was closed and sadly did not leave bery many sliced meats in the cooler.

There are not a lot of options for bigger grocery stores in the area but I will definitely be shopping here even less. I have never been so embarrassed and felt so criminal in my life.I was unable to pay for the total amount of groceries that I had.The cashier was very insincere and rude. Her behavior made an already embarrassing situation, worse. To top it off, we believe she is a lead of some sort...Says a lot about the establishment...I am not familiar with any criminal behavior of where people stand at the register trying to figure out how to pay for a months worth of groceries. Maybe in a smaller establishment as a distraction but not on a Monday afternoon at a busy Market.1. She did not even let us run the card a second time to let us try. She cancelled it before it even got to the declined. I've worked enough retails, and swiped my own card enough times to know....3. WHY would I be adding MORE when I cant pay for what I have sitting there? Was that your moment for the day to ask that?(When we said we needed to make some adjustments she asked if we would be adding more or less)2. We were figuring she would just remove items from the bill. When she cleared out the entire thing, we thought she was maybe going to assist the lovely lady behind us with her few items. Nope, just starting over and got sassy.4. She came around to assist the lady behind us getting things into her cart to move her to a different register. She felt the need to add her own thoughts/spin to the scenario. If you feel the need to whisper stuff to the lady behind us, beyond what we just explained, it would be more professional of you to do it beyond earshot, not right next to me...5. Dont act like you have NEVER been in that situation. When you think you have money and an unexpected charge comes from your account leaving you short. Perhaps any other version of that scenario when you just cant quite make the bill. Its HUMILIATING to be standing at the register, not only not knowing why you cant pay but having the people behind you staring and getting impatient. THEN to have the cashier make a scene about it.... Might as well have been the good old days and you just cut that card in half!!We weren't trying to be shady or disrupt her day. We were trying to buy some groceries for the month but thanks for making us feel like we were trying to re-enact Going In Style. May Karma serve you cold.

We have two stores up here city market and the other one in Fraser .both store has higher prices,we are unfortunately a tourist town. It's ridiculous how upset tourist gets in the reviews, you are on vacation!!!! Put on a smile and for your child's sake stop complaining about the stores up here .....or just go to Breckenridge (they have a Walmart there)In the last couple years tourist are ridiculously cheap ,they can't afford to be here anymore . Pretty soon we going to tipp them to eat at our restaurants and stay in our hotels.Anyhow I love city Market and all the employees there deserve a raise and a thank you for putting up every day with this rude crowd.....ā¤ļø

We stayed on Grand Lake and this grocery store was our go-to for everything! The produce was super fresh, friendly staff and the store was well stocked. We found everything we needed. They also have a Starbucks inside the store.

This will be long. We were in town on vacation and stopped in for groceries. We don't have a Kroger or City Market where we live, so we aren't members. The cashier rang everything up and used a store membership card they had at the register. I tapped my card to pay, and the screen read "Accepted". The register computer then froze up and the cashier quickly said they'd need to ring us up at another register because the receipt didn't come out of the machine. They didn't ask a coworker or manager for a second opinion and insisted on re-ringing it. I ran out to check our account balance on my phone (it was in the car) while my husband went to another register with the cashier. The cashier missed items the second time, so the two totals weren't the same.I pointed out the two pending charges on our account, and the cashier said to get it resolved at the customer service counter. The customer service representative said we needed to call the 800 number to get it resolved because they couldn't do it in-store.So, I called the 800 number for City Market, and they told me I needed to resolve it at the store because they can't lookup transactions without a Kroger account number. Apparently a receipt and CC number won't suffice. And since the two totals are different, disputing with the bank has also been problematic. Incredibly frustrated to be out $100 due to poor customer service and incompetence on Kroger's/CM's part.

Generally well stocked and not noticeably different from our home King Soopers in terms of quality, selection, and even price! Friendly staff, and very convenient to where we stay.

Came in around 8pm and filled a cart for a week we were spending here. Not a single cashier was on duty. We had to spend fifteen minutes battling with self checkout. This is automation going too far. Hire humans to work at your store...

This store is crazy busy! Many shelves were empty because it was so busy. Also this store is pricey. That said the produce lady, Llona made up for it with great customer service. I would give it 3 stars without her. She ran to the back for two different things for us. I appreciate it because the store was slammed and did not have enough staff that day.

High prices, over ripe produce, stocking pallets and employees in the aisles during business hours, pharmacy no longer sends presicption notices by text. Employee retention is poor due to management issues. Sadly the nearest other grocery is in Frasier, too far unless going for another reason2023 updatewe now shop at Safeway in Fraser, City market has no deli. I was in shopping yesterday and overheard employees talking about how they were taking the deli completely out of City market one more nail in their coffin17 Nov 2023City Market continues the decline. The deli is sporadic, yesterday was wanting a rotisserie chicken, none available. The produce department often has overripe or damaged fruits and vegetables. I've seen produce stockers literally throw tomatoes and other soft skinned products onto the pile. We have taken to doing any large shopping trips to Safeway in FrasierUpdated 6 March 2024Since we live in Hot Sulphur Springs we are about halfway between City Market and the Kremmling Market. I had been there before and always thought the prices were a bit high but the recent second chance shopping trip proved otherwise. Full service store is much better organized and managed than CM. Another thumbs down for CMUpdated 8 Mar 2024Horrible experience today. Made an appointment for a shingles vaccine, which I was told could only be done online. My doctor's office told me that Medicare will only pay if done at a pharmacy, however it was $249 with the Good RX discount. Such horses**t. Then I got a receipt with the prescription I picked up with a feedback survey. However when I went to the web address on the receipt I get a message saying Kroger moved the feedback website on August 2017, yep , 2017. So Kroger moved the survey nearly 7 years ago but still prints the old address on the receipt, what a joke. Secondly when I finally got to the right survey it would not take the ID number printed on the receipt. The second to last number is 3 digits but the input for the survey would only take 2 digits, what incompetent people. I refuse to spend another dime at CM unless it's an emergency

I came here last August on a family vacation to Rocky Mountain National Park. With the affiliation with Kroger, this location felt like home compared to where we live here in Illinois. Awesome experience overall, and I'd recommend!

Great market, fast check outs, nice employees, and fortunate to have a pharmacy! We come here annually when on our family ski trips wonderful place! We have had to use pharmacy on vacation too so that's a huge plus they have one!

A price gouging operation. Store brand large eggs were still at $5.99 a dozen when they've dropped to around $3.00 at most other City Market stores.Beyond that, the butcher shop/ fresh seafood feature has been completely closed down. Produce is often low quality and in short supply. The Fraser Safeway is a much better store.

Best place in Grand County for all your grocery, wine, and beer needs while vacationing here. They do sell worms(trout bait) for the local ponds. They have a good selection of local beers and local foods.

Just had a horrible experience at City Market. Bought a bottle of wine and had my receipt clearly visible. I went back in to grab some chips and other items. I go to self checkout to pay. Had both receipts visible in my hand for the clerk to see. She could’ve asked me nicely if I had paid for the wine bottle like a well thought professional but instead she policed me like a thief had me pull my receipts out. Asked me how I got the wine when I told her that I paid for it beforehand. She was super rude and disrespectful in front of multiple people. Made me show her the wine bottle to check the name matched the receipt. This unprofessional old woman goes by the name of Holly. Blonde old woman with glasses. She should would behind the scenes stocking if she doesn’t know how to act with customers and deserves to be trained further as she is a poor reflection of the store brand. I’ll make sure to stay away from City Market next time I’m in town and if you’re a POC, I recommend you do too. Very nasty experience.

Interesting that the last review was a year ago. This is a locals mountain store which is taking advantage of all of us that live here year round by high prices for everything from eggs to gas. Shop at Costco before you come to Winter Park and Granby. Photos are laughable.

So for those that are traveling to the Granby area definitely go in the morning for your groceries. The store opens at 6 am so go before 10 am and you will get everything you need. Unfortunately after 7 pm most of the shelves will be empty during their busy seasons in the summer and winter. They do the best they can with the staff they can get but it is hard to match the demand of their tourist seasons

Big supermarket with tons of options, but despite the produce looking very good, it was not tasty once we got it home. The baby carrots didn’t taste like anything and the cucumbers were odd tasting. Also, the toiletry prices were quite high with a small hand lotion running ~$6-8 and deodorant ~$8 each.

This store can be beyond frustrating. Today is was at store at 6:15 am and because they never have enough help, there are boxes everywhere that I had to dodge. After shopping an hour, when I went up front to go thru the register, there were none open, just self checkout. When asked if someone could check me out, was told the person was unloading product in the back. I had to check out my own groceries. My total bill was over $200! This took me over 20 minutes to check all the items and bag them. This is totally unacceptable. Groceries are expensive enough without having to go thru what I had to today. I go to Evergreen frequently so I will be doing shopping there from now on.
