The staff and management at the Golden store really care about the well being of the animals there and take care of them as best they can.They are also very helpful and no matter how busy they are, they never make you feel like you are bothering them if you have questions or need help.I am a Betta fish hobbyist and I buy most of my Bettas from their store. They name all their Bettas and have just enough for a good selection but not so many that they can’t properly take care of them.If you are looking to get a Betta fish, you need to stop by the Golden store and take a look at their Betta fish for sale.

If you are going to get any kind of pet stuff to spoil your little beasts of the world (and I mean SPOIL), Pet Supplies Plus is most likely going to be your best option around here.The store is not only very well stocked full of toys and training/cleaning tools, but they are practically a warehouse for every kind of food imaginable for your pet.And they got quite a few pets available for you to start your journey with. From rodents to lizards, even fish.

For the most part, everyone there is really sweet but hopefully, you never have to deal with Kris he is very racist towards anyone who isn't white. He was rude to every Hispanic person I've seen there at the same time as him. He makes the experience so unsavory and I'm not even on the receiving end of his hate.

We love going to Pets Plus in Golden! We use to go to Petco but really didnt feel welcomed there. So we decided to start doing our pet shopping here. The store is clean and well organized and the staff is wonderful.Chris is always there to lend a helping hand. Be it getting crickets for our leapord gecko, helping us pick the best food for our parakeets, or fishing out a new fish or plant for our plethora of fish tanks! Chris is also great with our 9 year old daughter. Always answering questions and telling her/us all about the wide variety of animals that are in the store! Very knowledgeable and easy to speak with. One of the many reasons we continue to come back to Pets Plus!!

Gross! Just got crickets and the bag smelled of death upon opening after getting them home which takes us two minutes from the pet store. Not feeding those to our Beardie! Don't they clean out their bins?! I will not be going back there for anything anymore. Go to Petco!!

Idk what is happening with this place. I use to love shopping here, but due to rude staff, I will never shop here again. Also, the present store manager is disrespectful of his/hers elders!! To the point that h/she thought it was humorous to make fun of me and then pursue toying with me!!! So long as this particular store manager remains I will NEVER shop here again!!! I purchased our guinea pig from this store, I purchased one at first that started coughing we had to returned Her .We got another one on January 18 I had her for 50 days and she surprised us by delivering a baby yesterday,my assumption is that she was pregnant when we purchased her.Staff was amazing all the times I went in and called them .Our guinea pig is the best amazing temper and all .The only reason I gave them 2 star cause I was extremely shocked my guinea pig had a baby .Here is cookie dough and her baby.She is not even 4 months and already delivered a baby.

Marked up prices prohibit my further purchases at this establishment. When I can find the same bag of litter next door at King Soopers for $3.50 less, I Won't be back.The non-existant benefits of membership will not entice me again.DON'T SHOP HERE!No competition exists for this establishment. They don't care that the prices they ask you to pay are Inflated.I Do have a membership, it would save me pennies, it isn't worth the effort.

We have only gone In Here to look at the fish. The staff is usually very accommodating. They seem to have a big selections for pets including a little doggie pastry box up front. There is a dog wash and they do keep cats for adoption from. Time to time.They also seem to take excellent care of their pets. The Guinea pigs have been shaved at least once and I've watched the staff clean cages and give fresh hay.

Always friendly and not too busy. They have a weekly ad with great deals and a decent selection. I got my dog her lifevest here for a good discount and buy here Taste of the Wild food here and find it's cheaper than anywhere else. They also email great coupons like $4 off Greenies :)

Love this pet store. The employees are all quirky pet lovers, but they are enthusiastic and endearing. The store has everything my pup needs including his senior dog food and all at good prices. They’ll even bring the 40 pound bags of kibble out to your car while you wait. Keep it up!

Locked doors 10 min before 9:00 tonight on a Thursday when they are supposed to stay open until 9:00. Saw two young employees leave so clearly wasn’t an emergency that they closed early. Please tell them to do their their job until actually 9:00 so people can get what they need for their pets. Now I have to drive an hour into town tomorrow bc they decided to dip out early.

I've been trying this store off and on as it's near our King Soopers but now, twice in a row, I've been overcharged for items marked ON SALE. First time I caught it and that cost me some time standing at the register while they checked the shelf, found out I was right, came back, corrected the sale amount etc. People behind me were not thrilled. This time I missed their error and paid $15.00 for two bags of treats that should have been $10.00 total.Doubt I'll go again, this is not rocket science folks, having your POS system in sync with your sale prices.It is otherwise a nice clean well stocked store with friendly young staff, though it looks like the staff turns over quickly, I rarely see the same employee there twice.

I used to like this store! Unfortunately their website is a piece of trash that will double or triple charge you due to poor programming. Their customer service is awful, they do not have any meaningful support to offer. I highly recommend shopping elsewhere, this business is not interested in making you a happy customer. I will be filing a complaint with BBB as I await for hundreds of dollars in refunds and reversed charges.

The manager here is rude and uniformed. They said they wouldn't sell me 5 fish smaller than 2 inches for a 15 gallon tank. The fish I tried to buy don't grow to be bigger than 2 inches. Based on pet supplies plus own website they recommend 8-12 fish for a 15 gallon tank. The manager refused to sell the fish claiming that 5 was too many and was very rude about it. Don't go here and expect to be treated fairly or with respect. One thing I can't stand is fake and uniformed morality. Pet supplies plus is in the business of selling animals in captivity which is a morally Grey area to begin with so, don't go judging me on your misinformed morality.

I recently adopted a beautiful, healthy Syrian hamster from Victoria. I was absolutely amazed at her knowledge of small animals, after talking to her. She was incredibly helpful in providing me with care strategy that she uses and I could tell that she legitimately cares for the animals that are kept in her department. In fact, I wish that pet shops had more people like her. It is rare to find somebody so knowledgeable, and caring in a shop like this. I believe she deserves to be recognized for excellent service to customers, and creatures. Thank you so much for caring for my girl until I was able to find her, Victoria!

Love this store! Has all the same brands as the big box pet stores and it’s pretty competitive. They aren't a lot more expensive like some pet stores. People are friendly. Delivery is an awesome option and haven’t had any issues!

The dog washes are great and the value for the dog washes is FANTASTIC. This is the main reason I still use this location. The store is also generally clean. My complaint is that while wandering the aisles trying to find something, I am rarely asked by associates if I need help. When I do track one down, it’s 50/50 on if they are helpful and knowledgeable or not.

I did not realise that this was a chain like petsmart when I first went there, which would explain some things. The staff are always very nice but not very well trained about fish. They were not very good at helping me determine the gender of fish and dropped one on the floor once. Again, the staff are very nice and helpful (actually remembered me and asked how my fish were doing weeks later!) but I wish they had more knowledge. Mediocre selection of fish, but there are live plants in some of the tanks and they do take care of fry when they accidentally hatch. I'd suggest looking at some other pet stores nearby that are small & locally owned and focus more on their fish!

The sale prices and the overall good regular prices keep me shopping at PSP, wherever I can find them. I would like to see a broader range of wet cat food.
