Drew was super helpful, very knowledgeable and was able to provide me with different food options for my dog. He was able to take my info so Luna could be on the waitlist for a grooming service. I had visit the Glenwood Location several times and either no one cared to ask if I was doing okay, or very little to no knowledge was given. Drew definitely changed my experience in a very positive way! My dog is happy with the food recommendations and the snacks as well! Thank you!

I have never been in such a clean and unique Petco store. Honestly speaking, it's been often I find other petco stores as... Well they don't look nearly this good. My wife had an experience where she immediately understood more about the animals than the employees.But this store is quite different. Even if you are just visiting to bring some toy home from vacation for your pet (like we did) I absolutely recommend going here. The Petco we need, the petco that animals deserve.

They have a nice clean and organized store with friendly staff. Often out of a lot of things but to be expected, being it's the only big chain pet store in the Glenwood area. I love the order online, pick up in person service.

Great selection of Cat and Dog food, but thats where the variety ends. Treats and toys are very overpriced compared to other animal/feed stores, and there is no variety in terms of bedding, accessories, or training supplies (one or two different brands). The enclosures for the small animals, including the reptiles and fish, are atrocious and should be considered animal cruelty. As a herpetologist, it disgusts me that they have been allowed to keep and sell animals in those conditions. The morphs of their reptiles are labeled incorrectly and way overpriced. I have called and asked the manager how they supply their herptiles (reptiles/amphibians) and they refuse to answer, say they don't know, or simply hang-up the phone once asked. The rodents are also in cruel and cramped conditions with dirty food and water due to there being too many animals in one enclosure. The informative booklets also contain incorrect husbandry and species information that will leave you with a sick or unhappy pet if you decide to read and listen to them. Overall, its a decent store to buy cat and dog supplies, but if you are looking for small animals or even dog treats I would check with an animal/feed store, an online rescue, or online breeder. Please research species THOROUGHLY before you decide to get a pet. Animals that move miles a day in the wild cannot thrive in a 10-20 gal tank.

Went in for some prescription dog food for my dog, Britney and Jamie jumped in and walked me through the process and what food was available for my dog under a kidney health diet. Jamie helped with the prescription aspects and Britney found the matching food. Thanks to them both I will not be using Chewey any more.

I don't appreciate the way Petco management washed their hands of an in-store promotion for Klarna after it backfired. Due to complete ignorance of their own in-store promotion I'm out money for merchandise I didn't receive. The whole ordeal has robbed me of money and 2 hours of my life that I will never get back. Jamie seemed to do her best, but kept passing the buck back to me and Klarna, only to have Klarna pass the buck back to Petco - who then flat out refused to deal with the issue.Brittney was likely the rudest when I called to address the issue on the 3rd or 4th time.Piss pour customer service. What a joke.

I was denied fish and was asked for an ID for a guppy. Keep in mind, you can tell I am of legal age. I was with a friend and the lady helping us was very nice to her and let her by frogs but wouldn’t let me get a fish? my friend who is younger than me purchased several gerbils and was not asked for an id. i find that extremely irresponsible of the employees, I was trying to buy one of the easiest fish to take care of and I was ID’ed, they straight up just gave my friend gerbils with no id and didn’t asked him if he knew how to care for them or anything like that (he does know how to care for them and was overly prepared for them) but i couldn’t get 2 guppies because an almost 5 gallon tank wasn’t big enough for them? The lady also said that if we wanted the fish with the frogs then we should get a goldfish….we did our research and if we put a goldfish in a tank with the frogs, the goldfish would eat them…so petco your employees are idiots and I feel extremely disrespected. There was an employee who checked us out and she was super nice to both of us and she knew more about the fish and frogs than the other girl did. So thank you to the girl with the glasses at the register, you deserve a raise.

Unfortunately the grooming staff here was extremely rude. I was scolded for being early to my appointment, and again when I came to get my dog maybe 7 minutes after they called. My dog has also grown more anxious about going there over the past year. Clearly they are too overworked to provide the kind of service I was hoping for. Will not be returning.

I tried calling the groomers and got no answer, but I then saw online walk-ins were available for nail trimmings so I hung up. I drove over from Rifle and walked into the grooming shop lobby (fully open to get back to the grooming stations btw) and I rang the bell like it said if no one was up front. No answer, then see a little "closed" paperweight on the counter. I walked out to the cashier up front and was told that there was no one in today, soonest tomorrow. Also saw sign on the way out that no walk ins were available. Not upset that they would back in tomorrow or how busy they are, but very unprofessional when I can't get ahold of anyone, drive from Rifle, and can walk into the groomers lobby or further. I was not impressed.

This place sold me sick fish and killed my 4 year old established tank. We lost 15 fish. They insisted the fish were healthy when they obviously were not. Do not buy any aquatic plants or fish from here. They were not helpful in any way.

Why don't you turn the lights on in this store? I couldn't see to buy anything. It was way past ten, in case you just opened. Turn some lights on if you can't pay the bill. This store stinks also when you walk in. I won't go to this store again. It's awful. The clerk didn't know if I bought 5 small chew bones that are loose, I'd get 2 free. If I would not have said something, he would have charged me for the 2 free bones. Disgusting store.

They had my cat food, and the checkout clerk was friendly and efficient. I was sad, however, to see that the fish department was in unusually bad shape. Apparently the department manager has been out, though, so hopefully when he returns it will get back to the usual fully stocked and super clean state.

I am grateful for Petco to be nearby when I can stop in to buy my pups food, balls, toys. They are so excited when I come home and they smell goodies from Petco in the bag. The staff is always friendly and very helpful.I would give 5-Stars but due to the store always being cluttered with large mobile carts stuffed with product sitting in the isles and at the end of an isle makes it tough to get to isles and products. So imagine an obstical course to keep you alert. 🐾❤🐾 happy tails

I went in to purchase two easy walk harnesses and two Flex leashes. I was looking for red and purple in the harnesses. I asked this employee about the purple as I couldn't find one that color. I asked if she could order me one and she said no, that color is only delivered as a promotion or at holidays. She spoke as if she was the manager. If you order the harnesses you can request a color....come on. I have been a manager for over 40 years and special orders are NOT a problem. This actually turned out great for me because I looked online and not only found the purple harness but at $10.00 less than your store. This is why you are losing customers. Your just not willing to go the extra mile for us. I will now always purchase what I need online. Thank you 😊

The staff at the Glenwood store are so friendly and helpful. I have been having trouble setting up a new fish tank in my classroom. Last year because COVID required us to leave the schools in such a hurry, I had to leave the tank behind and start over this year. Your amazing experts helped me to get the water ph balanced and the tank up and running again. They were patient with my questions and frequent visits. They listened closely and I felt I could trust their advice, that they weren’t just selling me things. Your cashiers were also always friendly and patient. Keep up the amazing work Glenwood staff and thank you for all your help.

Was at the store in Glenwood Springs. Waited for help in the fish area for over 10 minutes while the employee helped someone else, fine. That customer gets her fish and goes to check out. Waited another 10 minutes to be helped and 4 different employees just would look at us and kept on chatting to each other. We ended up leaving and not spending our money there...so rude.

every time i bring in either my cat or my dog the staff are super friendly to them. they know more then the average retail employee about animals needs and concerns. i always love to bring my animals here!

The young lady at the checkout was extremely rude. Obviously did not want to be there. I greeted her she did not respond(she said nothing to me just started scanning and throwing items in bag). After the awkward checkout, I said thank you have a good night and she just stared at me.

Currently very upset with this store and their manager Rachel. I bought a “male” hamster who a week later had 9 babies. All 9 babies and mom have mites. I have been very careful and clean with them. The store is not willing to help me get them healthy or really do anything. They told me it was not their fault it was a female and that it’s my fault they have mites.( which is an entire different issue) I have not been offered any advice on what to do.I have now spent almost $100 on a vet because I’m not a bad person and Don’t want them to not die...I do not recommend buying pets at this location. I’m 100% confident mama had mites when we purchased her. She did not look well from day 1. Sadly due to stay at home orders returning the hamster early on did not present itself...My daughters first pet experience has been rough...very disappointed
