If you want to be treated differently because of your skin color and be accused of getting a free meal when you share your complaints with the manager, you can go this place. Although these thoughts were shared with the manager to understand and solve the situation, we realized that we were right when the manager blamed us instead of denying the situation. First of all, no customer has to close the door of your restaurant and no one has to be subjected to bad looks and terrible treatment by your employees. No matter how old a business you are, you haven't learned anything about customer satisfaction. Although we did not eat the food we ordered, we were treated worse than talking by the dear experienced manager. It was an absolutely terrible experience and we were exposed to completely unacceptable approaches. I don't think so, but I hope you can learn professionalism one day and apply it in your business.

The folks here are very nice and it’s a historic place but I highly recommend not having the French dip. It’s actually one of the worst sandwiches I’ve ever had at a restaurant. However, the waffles looked much better as did the French toasts. I mean it’s typical for a mostly tourist mountain town to be lacking in the quality of restaurants, and that’s a bit to be expected. But, I’ve had better microwave sandwiches from gas stations. They are probably trying to keep the cost reasonable… but my suggestion is, I’d rather pay $15-$16 for a better French dip. And adding 99 cents for a spoon full of potato’s… come on. Your breakfasts looked good and it’s 100% ok to skim down the menu to a few things that you do well rather than a lot of things with one being a complete disaster.I’m truly not trying to be mean but I think you know, you can do way better there.

Quaint, charming place with lovingly prepared food. My salad included strawberries, pecans, and blue cheese with a delicious balsamic vinaigrette and a huge thick slice of country-style homemade white bread with tangy red peppers baked in! They are famous for this bread, deservedly! From what I understand, it's different each day. My friend had a basic breakast,, and hubby had a French Dip. Staff is amazing, atmosphere is antique, and they let you know your table is ready by text.

My family bumbled in here earlier today. We were freezing from the weather during the Xmas market, hungry and looking to warm up. We had six people, no reservation and they managed to seat us in less than five minutes. The young man at the door was kind and immediately cleaned off a table for us. My family is often very picky about food, and the waitress was gracious and accommodating for us. The food was excellent and very well priced. The beef stew bread bowls were top notch as well.

Went hungry after a hike at a mid afternoon time. It was still busy around 2:00 with a short wait. My friend and I ordered separately from the lunch and breakfast menu. I can speak to the breakfast, a great texture/consistency to the gravy and the bacon was perfect! Coffee was still good in the mid afternoon as well. It was worth a stop and would enjoy the patio if you have the option to.

This was the 2nd day in a row we came here. Fabulous food, great service, and atmosphere. Love their homemade bread, had to have a load to go home with. Well worth going back to!

The Happy Cooker is small, so I don't recommend large groups, especially during COVID times, when seating is limited. The patio, I'm sure is a great place to sit and enjoy the views, the food and people watch, but being here in January, left it up to the imagination. The menu is varied, but not overwhelming, and the prices are reasonable for what you get. Staff was kind, kept the place clean and sanitized and the food came out quickly. The food was okay, but it could've been the option I ordered. TI had the Biscuits and Gravy with sausage links and a side of home fries. I don't think the items were made from scratch, but I think you get what you pay for.

This place was only ok for me. There was a wait on a Monday around noon (Indigenous Peoples' Day), which tells me it's one of the better restaurants in this small town. They were out of their signature meatloaf by the time we got seated, but the half of the egg/bacon/waffle entree was solid and the chicken sandwich on a croissant was fine as well. Nothing to write home about but everything tasted pretty much as you expect. Very reasonable prices as well, our bill for the 2 above items was $22.Service was really kind albeit a little slow—I think the kitchen had a backlog. Patio seating is nice and good social distancing indoors!

I ordered the turkey BLAT was delicious. My husband ordered the meatloaf and it was super salty. The service was good, especially for being under staffed.Kid-friendliness: I was disappointed that they didn't have a kids menu.

After a great morning at the Georgetown Train Loop. I Google searched resturants close by and found this place. I am glad I did. Breakfast was amazing! Prices are reasonable, especially with the amount of food on the plate. Great service as well. We will definitely be back!

A really pretty small diner. Great food, good service, and reasonable pricing. (Get the hot cider it's amazing) and you can get a half portion for the kiddos.

Awesome little hometown restaurant. Friendly staff and great food. Saw some iffy reviews but considering they were right after everything was opening up I took that into consideration. Alot of businesses were stressed out from being closed. I'd go back but we were visiting RMNP for the week and we live 4 states away. Try it, you'll like it.

My family and I were so excited to try this place! Everyone in Georgetown and in the local shops was so friendly and making us feel so welcome for our first visit in the beautiful town. That was until we arrived at the “Happy” Cooker. Our waitress was rude, unfriendly, and rushed our service. We weren’t welcomed by her, she never asked if we wanted any drinks, or if even asked if we had any questions about the menu. When we mentioned we needed another glass for water, (the first one she brought had a lipstick stain on it! Gross!!) she seemed very brother and was so unapologetic that we had received a dirty glass to began with. The food was not what we were expecting and the taste was far from good. Overall our experience at the “Happy” Cooker was unpleasant. We will definitely return to Georgetown, but we will be staying far away from this place.
