Clean and well stocked store that isn't a Walmart. They also have ready meals that feed a family and that is a big plus if you don't want to cook after a day on the slopes. Prices are a little on the high side but it is a ski town so it is expected. Inflation is just hitting everybody everywhere unfortunately.FYI if you are not from Colorado, bring some bags with you or be willing to pay $.25 per paper bag. Colorado passed a law to ban single use plastic bags, so just be aware of it and prepare ahead of time.

Sometimes very crowded (especially during ski season...how many eggs do you actually eat??), but the staff are Always on it! The self check out line moves quick. The staff at the Self check out lines are always quick to help and very friendly. The Deli area and newish wine and Beer shelves are good.

Went to this store last night because the near by Walmart does not have a produce section. Went to the register to check out, the cashier scanned my items and left the items sitting on the counter looking at me. Ok, I'm from out of town, I think the employees should be trained to ask customers would we like to purchase paper bags for our grocery items. I didn't know customers have to buy their own bags nor did I know customers have to bag their own items or was that just my experience. I learned I was suppose to pay for the paper bags by reading other reviews on this store. The cashier did not try to explain anything after asking questions. If I was suppose to purchase my own bags and bag my own items, which is no problem train your employees to let customers know. Not everyone know this.

No customer service. Bought hundreds of dollars of groceries and the manager stood behind me doing nothing as my husband and I struggled to bag all the groceries. The groceries were also rung up wrong and I was thankful to catch it. Will not return.

I spend about 200$ to $300 a week here and will be switching to city market in Silverthorne. More than a couple of halfwit cucks working here.I had a door dash delivery from this store. After noticing it had taken much longer than expected I called DoorDash. They told me they needed to call Safeway, and that the reason my groceries hadn’t been picked up was due to the fact that safe way had not done their part on the order. In that is was never confirmed ready for pick up. Safe way did not answer her call after 5 minutes of her waiting. So I put her on hold and called. None of the ppl at safe way had any knowledge about how anything worked with DoorDash and were not willing and most likely not even able, to give me info and look into the problem which was on out end. Even the door dash call center representative seemed frustrated at the incompetence of the employee.I’ve been I’ll and in bed a while. I have not eaten in two days. Now I will not be eating today as Safeway employees are too incompetent. The manager doesn’t even speak clear English.

Saw Evan today at register 1, he was the brightest and helpful person I've met. Always smiling and talkative but not distracted from his work. Wonderful person to have a conversation with almost wanted to go back in line a second time just to talk to him again. Man DESERVES a raise. Never felt more welcome.

It's a nice store, except for one thing: they don't give you grocery bags. No plastic ones at all - only paper ones, which they charge 25 cents EACH for. What's the point of this? Do they think they're going to stop "climate change" or something? I spend thousands of dollars in Safeways all across the western US, and get bags, but the ones in Colorado don't supply bags. What a joke!

Guest services was very helpful and store clean. Cashier spoke limited english and couldn't answer my questions. I asked another cashier a question and he couldn't help either. About their digital coupons. A customer was helpful

Traveling to Denver we stopped at this store - in the checkout line we were helped by an employee with cognitive impairment or a learning disability. He was very friendly and immediately noticed and helped us enter the proper code for the discounted item we were scanning. This store has a lot to be proud of - bringing quality employment to the community with great training and support to individuals such as this man.

I had a very difficult time ordering my usual drink here. I wanted sweet cream foam and they just couldn’t understand that and offered to put the sweet cream inside of the iced coffee along with cold foam on top. I get this drink all the time at my local Starbucks and I was disappointed that after 2 tries it was still not what I was asking.

Had to bag my own groceries.I have no problem doing that at all. The problem I have is there were two front end employees standing there talking about non-work related things watching me bag my own groceries.Then, the next morning we stopped for coffee at the Starbucks inside the store. There was one employee working. Poor girl was super nice but looked like she was almost in tears.This store needs to retrain it's management team. Top to bottom.

After driving 12 hours, I stopped at this store to use the western union service and make a payment for my car. When the physically handicapped lady arrived, she treated me very badly. The manager treated me very rudely. I never thought that a country place in the middle of nowhere would be such bad people and treat tourists so badly. The owner of this company should feel ashamed to hire such rude peopleShame of this people shame

Understaffed for sure. Check out lines took 20 minutes! Kind of as to be expected in a ski town on a holiday weekend, but between all of the self-checkouts and the two checkouts that were open, it took way to long to buy and is inconvenient for your shopper!

Rapid pick-up order was a hot mess. Several items in our “order placed” list weren’t accounted for at all. Four of five items they said were out of stock had plenty of stock when we went in the store (for example, piles of clementines galore). Most of the substituted items were also in stock and some of the substitutions were ridiculous— bread flour for white flour (not the same thing) and turmeric coffee for coconut crunch coffee. (I think most people are not going to want turmeric coffee; that seems pretty niche.) This store needs help/ training. It’s very inconvenient to have these problems in an area where the grocery store is a decent drive away from where you’re staying.

Not the biggest of Safeways, but it offered a reasonable selection of all the required items. I found it had the best selection of meat in the Frisco area and they are below the resort prices I found elsewhere. If I lived here, this would probably be my go to grocery store. Store is open until 11 pm most days and it wasn't very crowded after 9.

One of a very few stores open on Thanksgiving. Large parking lot and handicap accessible parking and entrance. Store was well stocked and clean, uncluttered aisles. Restrooms were clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful. Needed a few fresh produce items, easy in and out. Recommended

This is my main stop for groceries! The people at the deli make the best mango habanero baked chicken, and the brussel sprout salad is killer too!If you read more reviews, you will see a number of complaints about long lines, etc... Yes, this place (as every other place in the county) is short staffed as local housing has been converted into out-of-town investment airbnbs to house tourists that cram the local grocery store on ski weekends and complain about the long lines at the local grocery store on ski weekends...This Safeway is great. Just try to avoid the ski crowds.

This was a very pleasant place to shop. They had all the usual things you could imagine, but I felt like their produce was top-notch. They also had some fresh sushi which we ate and it was much better than what I would typically expect to get from a grocery store. There's a Starbucks inside and the prices were fair.

This place is super clean. If you aren't from Colorado be sure to travel with your reusable baga since Colorado does charge for grocery bags. This place in particular has boxes for a $1.99 which is also reasonable and reusable.

UPDATE: I've changed my rating from 3 stars to 5. The store has a new manager, named Jason, and he has changed the store to a MUCH more service orientation. He has workers walking around the store asking customers if there's anything they can help them find. We had an issue with the deli department and mentioned this to one of these workers. He immediately called Jason, who came and met us in an isle to address the issue. After he corrected the problem, he gave us our deli meat for free. I think it's OUTSTANDING for a grocery to have this level of customer service. Thanks to Jason, this store no longer act as if they're the only store in town. They act as if they're the best store in town.Average grocery chain. Below average bakery. I've been in better Safeway's in other cities. The one in Frisco seems to know they're the only grocery in town.

A clean and well sanitized store. Employees and clerks seem to be quite nice and helpful if needed. If shopping around for groceries due to being here to tour around highly recommended this Safeway or other shops on the Frisco side. Dillons City Market is always packed and Safeway here seems to be less busy for great quality and priced items and products. Highly recommend 👌
