Our dog is so afraid of going to the vet. Dr Cindy helped us in an emergency and worked with us to help Monte be more calm. He now walks into this office without shaking or having to be carried. The staff listens well to our concerns and knowledge about our beloved dog. I like that they offer holistic care also.

As someone who has a giant Rottweiler I can attest that these vets and techs are amazing with big huge dogs that don't realize they are not lap dogs.We have gone to other vets offices in Aurora and have had issues with them being able to handle a young 90lb+ puppy ( Aurora animal hospital) and doing things the right way.. So we drove all the way from Arapahoe and Aurora parkway to go to Franktown vet and let me tell ya it's worth the drive!!We got shots and nails trimmed with NO problems - the techs knew how to act and respond to a large breed dog that looks aggressive.. in the end he got cookies belly rubs and had a nice car ride. We will be going back again and again.

Over charge.Didn’t exam enough to realize my dog had a tumor on the outside of her liver which was easily felt when you put your hand on it.Dog had running poop. Vet gave medication to get rid of running poop. But medication she gave is broken down in and by the liver. But since liver had growth on it didn’t function properly and my dog passed away after taken medication and never finishing. They say you have to finish medication fully. Well that sped up and my dog passed away because of the medication.Always one foot in the door and one foot out.

Incredible. We had an emergency visit on Saturday, they got us in as new clients, treated us with compassion and expertise and took care of our dog. They did all that they could to make us feel welcome and important. Knowledgeable, very friendly, compassionate staff. I would highly, highly recommend this vet clinic to anyone near or far. I cannot say enough good things, but thank you all.

I’ll give them 7 stars if I could and a 10 star to Dr Vanderholm who saw me without my pet and read all his health reports and explained easily what was my cat suffering from. She called later to see him and she kept checking up on him or instructed her assistant to do so.It was too late when I discovered franktown hospital as I live in Parker and my cat Zadar hates 1 min car rides never mind 20min.I used to take My 10 years old boy to another hospital in highlands. Zadar was diagnosed with 3 masses of cancer on March 10th. I noticed symptoms since December but his regular vet didn’t recommend any blood work nor ultrasound and I figured out myself through Google that I had to do them to know why my cat was vomiting. She never called once to check how he was doing!He passed away yesterday and again Dr. Vanderholm was so helpful by giving us advices. Always thankful to her.And May my lovely Zadar rest in Peace ❤️‍

My regular vet was closed when I had to make the difficult decision to euthanize my cat. I heard good things about FAC and decided to make an appointment there. All involved were caring and compassionate, especially with bringing my young children along. They also included a complementary paw print that was packaged elegantly and I received kind words from the staff upon pickup.

From the person who answered the phone to schedule my appointment, to the warm greeting from the front office when we arrived, the nurse who did our intake to Dr Ackers himself, I've never had a better experience! I had gone to Brekke vet but was very unhappy w the vet at the castle rock location. Vet had major attitude and pushed for specific products. testing etc. . After searching reviews and referrals i decided to go to Franktown and what a difference! Very happy with the staff and Dr. Hinton who were so awesome w my 2 puppies and helpful with all my concerns and recommendations . My pups had a ball with them. They took their time to make sure they had all the details of their history and current tummy issues and came up w next steps and recommendations.

Been coming here for 3.5 years, and my dog is always happy to visit - she never gets scared when she realizes where we are. We can get in and out quickly, but they do a good job. Definitely recommend.

I wish I had better things to say because I was excited to find a good vet nearby, but my experience was disappointing. I waited to leave this review because I went back to my vet in Denver and my little staffy got the help he needed. 1) my dog had a growth on his head and the vet decided to do nothing about it, said it looked like an inflamed sebaceous gland. I told the vet tech that he had a bacterial skin infection over the summer and this spot hadn’t disappeared yet. This spot has since been treated with an antibiotic spray, it has completely disappeared and his fur has grown back. 2) I also asked for my dog’s eye to be checked because it had been red a goopy, it was not checked. Since then his eye has been treated for conjunctivitis. The actual exam lasted all of 5 minutes. The overall experience with the vet tech and vet, Dr. Vanderholm who is actually the owner, was distant, cold, and overall not very helpful. Maybe they don’t like bully breeds, maybe they didn’t like the fact I didn’t want to get a ton of vaccines because we were there for an expensive allergy shot, maybe they are just grumpy or busy even if that was the case this is a good reminder that your presence and first impression is important. Also the front desk seems too busy, there was no warm welcome or acknowledgment that I had arrived, I’m the one that initiated a hello and should I put my dog in the scale. I’ve never been to a vet where the staff seem to not like dogs it was honestly strange and not the environment I want to be in.

This place takes taking care of your animals to another level. They make it feel like home and everyone from the front reception, vet techs, vets, and management are all extremely friendly and professional. What’s most important is what is best for your animal which is what matters. I know anytime I take my cats or dogs here that they will receive the absolute BEST care they could receive and I trust them completely! Thank you Franktown for the continued consistent great care you provide! I would recommend no matter where you live even driving out of your way to go here, you will not regret it!

Front desk staff always seems a bit overwhelmed/distracted. It's common to not get any sort of greeting and you end up just kinda standing there awkwardly until someone finally looks up to address you ha. I'm always placed on hold for a minute or so when I call as well, so I have to assume they simply try and fit in as many appointments as possible, so there's always something for everyone to be doing constantly.One of the vet assistants, (I admittedly don't remember names) was quite rude during one of our last visits. Our dog had a cut on her back and we did what we could to clean/disinfect it. We shaved the area the best we could once we found the wound, and we were thankfully able to get her scheduled in for the very next day. The assistant was very clearly judging our efforts to treat the wound on our own, and almost seemed skeptical about where the would came from or something. She just made me feel defensive rather than feeling heard. I was extremely satisfied with the actual vet though. As soon as she came in, she reassured me that the cut really wasn't that bad, wouldn't need much help to heal, and made me feel much more at ease and confident in our ability to treat our pup on our own.I always leave feeling informed and comforted. The rooms are always clean and they are very timely! Have never waited more than 5 or so minutes to get into a room, and no more than another 5 minutes before they come to chat and help! The prices definitely aren't the worst I've ever seen so no complaints there.They have a whole wall dedicated to the Canine units in the area which I love!

The best place to take your pet for quality loving care! My dog loves it here. No cowering in the backseat begging not to go in.Right now during Covid19 they have a smooth process to get your dog in with ease. At appointment time, call them and when they are ready they will come out, verify reason for visit, and get your pet. When Dr is finished he will call and tell you whats what. Then you pay over the phone, they bring your pet and VIOLA your done! PHENOMENAL!!

These guys are the best! My dog is around 100 pounds and very reactive/aggressive. They always take all the precautions to try to make him as comfortable as possible and they treat him better than a lot of other places I’ve been to. He’s much calmer here than anywhere else. They are always patient and kind and never make me feel embarrassed or scared to bring him in. Apollo just developed bone cancer and they took the time to sit down and explain everything to me in detail as I was a complete wreck. I’m moving further into Denver soon but am still going to go out of my way to bring Apollo here in the future because I know he’ll be getting the best care. I HIGHLY recommend bringing all your fury family members here.

My dog was not a patient at this clinic, but we had to move to Parker temporarily before our move to Germany. I called Franktown Animal Clinic and despite the fact we hadn‘t been there before they were willing to help us with our Health Certificate to move our dog international.Dr. Akers was awesome. He worked with me (and my many, many questions) and directly with my pet relocation service to ensure that everything was in line and that the paperwork was done properly. He put a lot of time into helping us and I am very grateful. The health certificate was expensive, but it is worth it when your dog is getting good care and you know the vet is putting time into making sure everything is right. Our pup is now successfully in Germany!If we move back to this area, this is where we will be bringing our dog!

This is not our normal clinic, but our dog needed to be seen semi-urgently, and our normal vet couldn't get us in. Franktown Animal Clinic was SO friendly and accommodating. They got us in right away and helped us get our girl on the mend. I'm very appreciative and will definitely be back again!
