Excellent grocery store! This is where I shop for groceries. Excellent produce section and they have really great seafood and meat department. Also their pharmacy is excellent and very friendly

I can deal with wonky carts and a parking lot that’s in poor condition; however, I refuse to give my money to a company that engages in deceptive practices through a multi-tiered, bait-and-switch, shell game of an online coupon system no doubt designed by *extremely* out of touch marketing execs. Anyone who values straight dealing and transparency in business should avoid the entire Safeway/Kroger organization. I feel sorry for their employees who have to try explain how this trash works to people who aren’t Internet savvy at all.

They close the East door at five P.M. Who in their right mind does this when that’s the time most people are heading to the grocery store? The parking lot constantly feels like a bombed out road and the cart situation is hit or miss if one will be available. Their food prices seem to be on the higher side and I saw a 6 pack of organic pasture raised eggs for $10.99 today 🤬) but the quality is good. The store is clean and the staff is nice. I tend to avoid this store unless I need something quick because of the prices, locked doors, and bad roads.

Overall the store is well kept. I usually only go here for flowers but it is convenient when I need an item and don't want to drive far. I don't shop here regularly because it's easy expensive but when I need a quick item it's fine. Flowers are usually decent and last. They are a little over priced too, for the set ups in bases but the bouquets are usually decently priced.

Decent store if you go in and shop yourself! Horrible for online ordering and grocery pickup. My pickup order has never quite been fulfilled properly. Even things I mark as "do not substitute" get substituted and I'm charged for something I didn't want. I've also had my selected substitutions totally ignored on occasion. Due to this, I've gone into the store after getting my pickup order to find a better suiting item and found out the original item I had ordered is readily available. Most recently, i ordered 3 gallons of milk and only got 1, but was charged for all 3. I don't believe the staff are trained well for the online shopping thing and there seems to be a breakdown in process here. I really hope they improve, but in the meantime I just can't do the online ordering here anymore. I've had way better luck/experience with Walmart.

Generally don't have a problem with this place besides a little misorganization.However recently attempted to pick a uber grocery order here and everyone basically refused to assist me, and by assist me I mean take 30 seconds to hand me the order. Their were 3 employees idle who would rather talk than take 30 seconds to hand me an order, they went through the effort of using the store intercom but not to hand me an order, it's frusterating because I just didn't get paid due to negligence?? Like idk

This is the second or third time which I have bought produce from this location. Frankly I am not sure if this is a breakdown with the distribution center, or if product is being left on on your shelves too long, but it is spoiling. The picture attached was an onion bought a day prior.I am writing this to hopefully raise this concern to management, if this is at least my 3rd time having this, I am sure it is effecting others as well. At the already elevated prices of your goods, this is unacceptable, and I will be looking at shopping elsewhere moving forward.

Your cashiers need to be trained on cashing out snap cards. I have gone to places and have NO problems with doing the task. Please teach your cashiers how to cash out on snap cards.

I love this location because everyone is so friendly but I just wanted to stay CODY in the deli has superior customer service!!! Keep him at all cost🙂

The pharmacy is the worst in Fountain. Their staff is rude, I had a lady tell me they take care of the patients they like first. Today, I was there ten minutes before the pharmacy opened waiting patiently. I was the first customer of their day and they told me it would take two and a half hours to fill a ten pill prescription. I understand the laws, so it would take some time, but not two and a half hours because the ladies were upset about working the morning shift. I can't wait for the King Soopers to open in Fountain and put Safeway out of business. I was a loyal customer but will now take my business elsewhere.

The parking lot is the worst I've ever seen. The pot holes to the huge cracks that act as speed bumps are just awful. They really should redo the whole parking lot and drive way area. I hear people complain about it all the time.

Ridiculously narrow ailes that get clogged easily with just 2 or 3 customers and no room to turn a cart around when one end is blocked.There are about 10,000 different wines and beers to choose from, but I came for groceries and it can be tough finding any items I actually came looking for. If I wanted beer or wine I would support my friendly neighborhood liquor store.Nothing is where anyone would expect to find it and when you do you find it, you also find an incredibly limited selection.The deli is 2-3 times more expensive than King Soopers for less food. At KS my 2 PC chicken, 2 sides, AND a roll is $3. Here you don't even get a roll and it is $8. What's up with that? Very dissapointing and stressful shopping experience.

I received a reminder e-mail from Safeway for my Covid booster shot a couple of days ago. So I scheduled an appointment for Friday 10/6.I have used this pharmacy for all of my shots since 2020 and it has always been a pleasant, easy and quick experience as a walk-in client.Well, NOT today. I was denied my shot and I still don't know why. The tall young woman with a heavy accent, who was wearing work-out attire was less than helpful.I checked in and she sent me to the waiting room with four other people. She never asked for my vaccine card. About five minutes later, she sticks her head around the door between the front counter and waiting room and says "We can't find so we can't do the shot today". Then she tells me have a nice day and disappears back to the front counter. No explanation, basically dismissing me. Unbelievable!Safeway contacted me, and maybe if this non customer service pharmacy employee had asked for my vaccination card, like they have always done on past visits, just maybe she could have found me. I am not someone who complains but I will not be blown off by someone whose job it is to provide customer service. I carved time out of my schedule for this appointment. I didn't get shot and I would like to know why it was denied.

TOXIC! By far the worst Safeway in town. You can never get in and out of the parking lot, the lines are excessive, forget picking up prescriptions unless you have more than a half hour to wait in line, customer service is nonexistent, and WORST of all they CLOSED the main set of doors during rush hour- 5pm!!! It has become a SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE to visit this location. Do not recommend!

Can’t answer their phone calls. Rude when you call customer service whenever they do actually answer. Can NEVER get ahold of anyone at the pharmacy this Safeway is a joke. Definitely don’t come here or bother called them.

Unfortunately we don’t have a lot of choices here in Fountain. You either shop at Walmart or Safeway. Outside the front of the store you’ll find anywhere between 3-7 employees smoking. The parking lot is filthy! The prices are very high. Tried grocery pick up, not a good experience. There are a few employees that have been at this store for several years and are very friendly. Generally we’d rather drive into the Springs than shop at this store.Update 3/1/24Tried order pickup again this morning. So disappointed. 1st off bags of potatoes, apples, onions and oranges do not need to be placed in additional plastic bags! A bottle of sparkling cider should not be placed on top of tomatoes! Bag fee yet I have my own reusable bags. Asked the girl to switch the groceries over, she just stuffed all the plastic bags into my reusable bags. Safeway this is why we end up shopping elsewhere!

I just tried the online ordering and pickup. I was pretty impressed. The guest service was Brett accommodating and polite. They gave me cabbage instead of lettuce so I checked refund online and my $ was credited back to me with in an hour. You can also put in specific details for each item. The whole experience was quick to order, easy to follow, and very convenient.

Nice grocery store. It's a Jewel in other Eastern states, and the quantity/quality varies by the store. This Fountain, CO store has excellent employees. I love the butcher. He is a warm, friendly, and knowledgeable fellow. Old school, like me. Great and broad selection, with the terrific Signature Select house brand.RECOMMENDED

They are moving shelves around (or something like that), so not only was crowded, as usual, the isles had temp shelves which made navigating a bear. I cant wait untill 2025!

I absolutely LOVE my local Safeway.. Diego is always present, visible and willing to help. Team members like Joyce, Tabitha, Sammy, Aiden, Dawn are always customers forward and greet me with a smile. It should be known that all of the self checkout team members are top-notch and I am certain I am missing names but I love them all and they have all always been top-notch!!! i absolutely love this Safeway!!!MY local Safeway

So iam not vegan,but I have a cashew,dairy and chicken allergy, I found out the SAFEWAY signature vegan mac n cheese is the only mac n cheese My son and I can eat. Along with the birche benders gulten free vegan sweet potatoe pancake mix which isn't at this store its at the fountain WALMART. Anyway I usually buy 4 boxes of vegan mac safeway brand here, and it sells out quickly. Can I order bulk to my house instead of waiting months for it to come on the store shelf? Thank you. EDIT review. ( I did what the store said in the comments to call and the store director just told me he can't order anymore and what I get is what I get. So bummed as I went to the store again January 1st 2023 and all the regular mac n cheese wad there but not the SAFEWAY VEGAN GULTEN FREE brand. I'm allergic to cashews so I can't eat the daiya vegan mac n cheese. The safeway one is made from yeast flakes and potatoes and rice. I can make it homemade but it was easier when you had this product. You obviously sell out quickly but when I called the store director he said that's all we get and advised me to check other safeways. I know he could have changed the order and ordered more. I'll just drive 20 minutes to king soopers or whole foods. Because they have better options for people with ALLERGIES

While the quality of meat/ produce is great, I regularly catch issues when it comes to discounts not being applied. It is frustrating to go through the trouble of finding the best deals, only for it to not apply at checkout. I usually only catch the "bigger ticket" items such as meat, so it makes me wonder if my smaller ticket items had their discounts applied as well.

This has been "our site" for more than 12 years. We know most of the staff by name. They know us by name. They ask where the kids are and how they are if they aren't with me. They know my kids' names. The store is always clean and well stocked. Management is very involved in the store and does an amazing job at keeping it running and in great shape. We recently moved, and this store is no longer "down the road," but we still find ourselves here more often than not. It's also where we will keep our meds/ pharmacy. I trust the pharmacy team. They know me/us and do a great job! I love this store!

If you are going to buy any sort of fresh food here, be aware that this store is PET FRIENDLY. Normally it’s not a problem because it’s little dogs in the baskets sitting on whatever the owner is buying but today a very large lab mix that was jumping all over the raw meat section. Paws all up on the chicken breasts while it’s owner was screaming about cilantro. We’ve stopped going here for anything unless it’s a literal emergency because I cannot trust the quality of food that someone’s pet has chewed up.

One of the best Safeways in southern Colorado. Awesome service and the sushi department crew is totally awesome they have the best selection period!! Even poke bowls and everyone is helpful and smiling!! I love it when it's like that especially in this day and she!!

Horrible customer service, order pick up is always missing items or out of stock but when you go in its on the shelf. Pharmacy employees are rude and unprofessional. This store is on my blacklist
