I am forever grateful for Golden Girls Kennels for my best friend. I got my little guy, Roast, knowing he had some health issues but I am fortunate enough to have a great team of vet care providers to help me with whatever I needed. We have watched Roast blossom from the tiny runt of the litter to a beautiful, healthy, 50 pound goofball that brings so much joy to everyone’s lives. Amazing people with amazing dogs.

We searched online for a Golden Retriever breeder, and found several that sounded reputable, professional and ethical. We settled on Golden Girls Kennels for several reasons: First, my email query was answered promptly and courteously; second, the breeder had numerous positive reviews; and third, pups were available in the timeframe we sought.Kate kept us informed every step of the way, and sent us photos of the available pups every week. As Week 7 approached, she sent us individual photos and descriptions of the pups we were able to choose from. Her description of our little princess was spot-on. Our pup is laid back, social, friendly, healthy, smart, and great with the grandkids.Kate was waiting for us on pick-up day, and we met our new pup in a completely stress-free environment. Mom was keeping an eye on things from the door, but quite calmly. Kate provided us with a booklet of material about the parents as well as puppy care topics plus shot information. And a bag full of goodies that the grandkids had fun unpacking later on! The pup had no problem with the ride home, and thanks to her laid back personality, crate and potty training are progressing well.The grandkids were (and are!) delighted with this new family member, and we so are we! We love our puppy and know we will have many years of enjoyment with her. Thank you, Kate!Two-and 1/2 years later, Bailey is a wonderful member of the family. Kate helped us pick the perfect dog, and we are so happy with our girl.

Thank you Golden Girl Kennels for our third baby from you! We love him so much. Our vet said this about him “there is not a mean bone in his body”. He is gorgeous and they both get raving reviews all the time over their beauty. We miss our other guy (he lived to be over 12) but he brought us so much joy over the years and had a really good life. Our world is so much better with our goldens!!

We got our fur baby from Golden Girls, they are amazing. We love our little guy and he is perfect in every way. They took the time to make sure we had what we needed and helped us bring this baby into our family. We have an older golden and 3 small children. They have been awesome to work with and so caring and you can tell they put everything they have into a great experience. Thank you for making this process a wonderful one, we will be back for another one.

Our last 3 Goldens have come from Golden Girls and I've worked with Kate since 2007. It is a first class operation. They import both males and females for breeding. Our 2 White Goldens are two of the most beautiful dogs in the world. It's hard to go on a walk and not stop and talk to a dog fan. Benson is a looker indeed. I will get my next Golden here too.

We own Mysty, 13 week old Golden from this Kennel. We adopted a new member of the family. We did this is not just a pet. These ladies made the process fun and memorable with the best dog in the world!!!! Wow! Such great lines and wonderful temperament. We are overwhelmed with gratitude for our girl. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Our dog from this breeder has horrible allergies. It is a costly problem. Wish we had never dealt with this breeder.

Golden Girls Kennels was the best choice I could make for our family. Kate took the time to explain everything about our new baby. Kate helped us make the right choice that would fit our family, we love Jasper he is so amazing. We got to meet Jasper's parents and we loved them! We are so grateful for the love of our lives and we will always make sure everyone knows where to go for a new family member.

We picked up our boy, the last of his litter. From previous reviews, it would appear GG sold us a returned puppy that was older than initially indicated. That was a Saturday.On Monday, we took our new baby boy in for a wellness check-up at our vet and mentioned ongoing loose stools and liquid stool. The vet took a stool sample, and our little boy was filled with worms and parasites. That day, I called GG, and Kate's response was, "Puppies eat poo."This new member of our home had many, many allergies. The dermatology & allergy vet ran all of the tests, including the skin allergy test. Only one item he was not allergic to: saline.Thousands of dollars in vet bills, overnight stays with the emergency vet he finally stabilized. Ongoing treatments, specialty prescription food, medicationsThis last fall, he was having trouble breathing and walking. Our vet did a full body x-ray and found hip dysplasia in both hips and an enlarged heart that took up 2/3's of his chest cavity. The vet looked at us and let us know that our baby boy did not have long to live. There was pain management available but no quality of life.We made the decision to euthanize our beautiful boy. He was two years old and had won our hearts very early on.NEVER would we EVER suggest or refer GG to anyone!We have always felt that we rescued our boy from a puppy mill. His life was much better with us after having such a bad start with these two puppy mill owners.In Colorado, there is zero regulation on puppy mills like GG. There is no one to report to except the local ASCPA that can't do anything.FIND SOMEWHERE - ANYWHERE ELSE, then these two.We keep his ashes in a prominent place, and his photo is on our wall. He will forever be in our hearts.Thank you for your response.Several items in your response are not true.1.) When I called, I stated that I just wanted you to know as the rest of the kennel maybe infected - yes, we were at your kennels.2.) At NO TIME did you ask for a copy of the Vet bill.3.) At NO TIME did you offer a $500 refund.This puppy was 14 weeks old when we picked him up on December 16, 2018. This corresponds to another reviewer stating that they returned there puppy who was VERY ILL. After much conversation, you agreed to take the puppy back. Do you see the correlation?The health problems our boy hand were congenital.I stand by my opinions. BUYER BE WARE.

Golden Girls Kennels was recommended to us from a friend who got a puppy from here two years ago. I researched three breeders and selected GGK due to the health of their dogs, how they raise the pups for the first 8 weeks and personal experience from my friends.These first 10 days of our puppy being home have been fantastic. She loves her crate, sleeps through the night, heartily eats 3 meals a day, cuddles, plays and plays and plays, keeps us laughing.The vet summarized her first exam by saying "she is perfect."GGK was excellent at communicating when they were expecting a litter and after she was born, gave timely updates all the way up to puppy pick up day.

We had a similar experience as previous reviewer Mike Larned. Our puppy health suddenly deteriorated after less than two weeks in our care. The puppy spent two days in emergency vet care and at a regular vet where he underwent extensive testing. They diagnosed a failure of his GI system that could not be associated with an infection, poising, or any other environmental cause. However, ultrasound revealed some structural issues with the puppy GI tract. In addition to the price of the puppy, we spent thousands in vet expenses. And of course this is an emotional loss as well. The breeder dismissed any possibility that there might be something wrong with the puppy even though several similar cases have been reported to them. They offered to sell us another puppy at a discounted price as only compensation. They declined our offer to settle the matter by providing us with another puppy free of charge. Communication with the breeder has been challenging. It is impossible tor reach them on the phone, they don't return voicemails, and emails are only replied after several follow-ups.

Puppy died less than 2 weeks after we picked her up. This is not a licensed breeder and they will not provide the name of their vet who 'certifies' the puppy's health. We knew our puppy was small, less than 4 lbs, but she only gained 7 ounces in 11 days despite feeding her the breeder recommended food and amount. Our vet validated we did nothing wrong as she passed due to an undiagnosable and untreatable GI system failure. She never had a solid stool and showed signs of emaciation. When we asked for a refund to help cover the heavy emergency bills, this breeder's offer was a fraction of our total cost and required we sign a non-disclosure. The non-disclosure suggested we would be liable for anyone we knew ever saying anything bad about the breeder - not enforceable, but gives you an idea of the business ethics involved. Regret working with this breeder. Recommend working with a licensed breeder who doesn't have negative reviews on BBB and other sites.

This place is amazing with such awesome people to deal with. They are very knowledgeable people, they answered all of our questions, which he had plenty. We had a terrible experience with Golden Girls Kennels (Kate). We went through 4 false litters with them. They took a large deposit from us via Venmo (should've been the first red flag) and strung us along for months now. She's nice, but disorganized and bad communicator. They're not able to keep the parents straight, nor who is the next customer in line. The week before each time we went to pick-up the puppy there was a new excuse: "There wasn't enough puppies in the litter" "The litter was absorbed" "The testicle never dropped" "The neighbor pitbull attacked all the dogs and they died." It was pulling teeth to get updates, photos, etc. and we had a gut feeling that we were getting taken advantage in hot market for dogs in the COVID era. We were FINALLY offered a refund on our deposit and can now explore other options, but this has been a devastating process for our family. I don't recommend anyone else having to go through that.Update to Review: Since the response to my review was filled with more nonsense, I figured I would edit this review to show that we've found the stock photos Golden Girls Kennels used on us. Again, do not recommend.
