Back when I lived in Vancouver, Safeway was just grocery store you'd see around. They're all over the West Coast in the U.S. too, but not so much out East. So when I spotted one in Fort Collins, I gotta admit, I got a little excited. It's just a regular supermarket, but seeing it pop up out of nowhere was kind of a thrill.Inside, it had the same layout as Safeway in Canada, which felt nostalgic. Saw ads on the cashier belts and thought, "Nice touch!"While most stores are all about big logos and flashy branding on their eco-shopping bags, Safeway had some classy ones without screaming their name everywhere.Oh, and you know you're in America when you spot those lottery vending machines—classic. They had plenty of kids carts and electric wheelchair with cart too!The place was very quiet, which made shopping super chill.

Had a very poor experience with the pharmacy. First they didn't have my medication ready days after the prescription had been sent over. Then, my user profile was corrupted and it took them a day to fix that. Then, they didn't have enough of my medication to fill the prescription so that took an additional day.This is all understandable and happens but what really upset me is they gave me a $25 gift card and said it was because of all the issues I encountered and for good customer service....when I get my reciept I notice you get a $25 gift card when transferring over any prescription. So essentially I was owed this gift card anyhow and they pretended like they were giving customer service by extending me the gift card for the poor service I received. That's not good customer service it's the complete opposite of it.

Worked here as an employee and the workplace environment was atrocious. Someone brought in a clearly fake service dog and I had asked the two legal questions very politely being a service dog handler myself as it hurts people with real service dogs validity. The customer got incredibly angry and threatened to harm me (a minor) and management gave me a written verbal despite me being threatened and proceeding with all the correct steps. I was never informed that this was a management only question and it should not be. The store does not hold up that right. It is the ADA's law that allows ALL employees to ask if they have suspicions. Overall, a horrible experience. I am considering sueing over such a horrid experienceTwo crimes were committed1. Allowing fake services dog IN the store2. Allowing physical assault threats to an employee without a single defense for said employee.

Safeway on Lemay Florist: I received the most beautiful flower arrangement from here. I just couldn’t believe how beautiful the flowers and placement was. I will be using them for my future flower needs! 😍 I highly recommend them.

I came into the store to purchase some groceries and go to Starbucks and had one of the the worst experiences ever. MANAGER MELISSA was extremely unkind rude and very rude. I went to the restrooms in the back of the store to use them and both said they were out of service for cleaning. After about 10 minutes of waiting and no one coming out or hearing anything inside I walked around the store to find someone to see if they could check to see if the restrooms were still being cleaned or if the signs were accidentally left up (because it has happened to me before). I approached Melissa and asked her if she would be able to check them for me and she said that she couldn’t because she was busy with orders. I asked her if she could call someone else to check and she said when she would when she got the time to. I asked her how long did she thought it would take because I had already been waiting for 10 minutes and really had to go pee, and she said she didn’t know. All of this being said with an attitude as if she hated her job. I kindly waited for her and followed her to the next aisle over waiting for her to make one simple call over her radio to another employee to ask if they could check the restrooms for me and she did not. After her talking to other people I asked her if she was going to make the call and she said she told me that does not owe me a public restroom and that I could leave the store. I chose to just walk away after that and ask another employee who said that someone from the meat department could open the restroom for me, which they did. As I was using the restroom it just so happened that the same manager Melissa came to the back of the store and started gossiping about me to another employee not knowing that I was using it! I’ve came into this Safeway multiple times and not once have I ever encountered such rudeness from an employee, let alone a manager. Extremely shocking and disappointing customer service Safeway.

It has very friendly workers there I just am disappointed that they have very limited selection and the prices are very high. I have shopped at Safeway for years and this is the most limited in choices and most expensive. But then again that's the story everywhere for everything.

I love this store! I have ALWAYS had friend staff. i dont need to walk a marathon to find what I am looking for, walk to one end for milk and then back to other for produce. Dont have to deal with rude customers either. If I have to wait for my prescription, I can shop and pick up some sale stuff. AND my pharmacist knows who I am! And I can get my vaccinations and they give me a grocery discount to boot! Thank you for being the small town friendly store that I have shopped at for 20+ years, since before when you were Albertson!

They said they, "locked their bathrooms and don't have a key." Obviously that level of performance shouldn't be trusted with your food!

I come to this store a few times a week and have always been treated kindly by all of the employees in every department. I think my favorite part of this store is it's pharmacy because the male pharmacist is amazing. He's super easy to talk to and extremely knowledgeable, as well as the other pharmacists. The store is always clean and well organized. The bakery is great too. I actually got my daughter's 1st birthday smash cake from them. It was a premade cake in the display, so not something specially ordered. Despite that, it just so happened to work perfectly with the colors and theme I was going with. The employees that decorate the cakes do amazing work. I've been to my shares of bakeries but I would pick this Safeway bakery over them.

I love this bakery! The baker has done a fabulous job on our birthday cakes for the past two years. I trust them to do all of our cakes. Rachelle does an amazing job. They are reasonably priced and very delicious too!

Alexis, the floral designer makes the most beautiful bouquets I have ever seen in Fort Collins. Whatever they're paying her, she deserves a raise.Also, this Safeway store somehow, consistently has the freshest, most colorful flowers. I really enjoy shopping there.

Way over priced compared to KS. Very poor selection and even worse produce and meat.Update: stopped in to just grab a few things real fast since it was close. Walked out without anything due to their high prices and poor selection.

Compared my receipt with Wal MarT, Target and King Soopers. I spent around 10$ more shopping at Safeway; seems like I always come away spending more for less. I’ve heard if one strictly buys coupon deals or weekly sales they can save money here, though, and it does seem that way.3 stars since it is well lit and not playing loud music the way some other grocery stores do

This is honestly the worst place to get custom cakes. Your basically paying them to decorate it however they want. They argue with the customer as to why your wrong and they are right and then make you pay for their mistakes. Please choose to go somewhere else if your wanting a custom cake.

Rude as rude checkers. Not a surprise Safeway is always closing when these people make all the decisions. Closing customer service whenever....ask for help told no....then they get right in your face to argue and the store manager comes over and looks terrified of her employees...ridiculous won't be back

Same issue as I complained about a few months back. I am a Uber driver and had to wait an excessive amount of time to get my groceries that’s event even that much. The order should be ready to go at the front of the store by the time I get there. Safeway is the only store in America that makes you come in to get groceries still. The least you could do is have them ready in a decent amount of time.

It's been some time since my last time shopping at Safeway. That was in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Here in Ft Collins, Colorado, I felt very much at home. Asked for a valued shopper card and he said "no." Couldn't recall my old number to get the discounts. He told me all I had to do was put in my phone number and the discounts were mine! Saved $6.00! With inflation and buying big ticket items like laundry soap my total was nearly $80.00. I had a gift card for the non food items and being on a limited income I have some SNAP benefits so in the end I got what I needed and left quite happy. Half of the backpack and a reusable grocery bag carried it all. Hopefully prices will come down soon and I'll need the whole backpack and both bags for my next $80.00 purchase. Thanks everyone at this store for a friendly time amongst caring people. PS: forgot my phone in the men's room and didn't know it until I left. Came back nearly in panic mode! Asked to use the phone to call my phone and the lady in customer service handed my phone to me. Did not expect this, at all. Thank you Ft Collins for being a community that I can live in with gratitude. Always, Andy

The store was nearly empty & extremely easy and quick to navigate. It's common though which I really like.. Everything is easy to find, there's no lines, there is always someone to help you if needed, it's literally the opposite of king soopers..I've noticed that many of the frozen items are still reasonably priced. The Safeway brands taste just as good as the expensive name brand items. At least with all the ice cream & popsicles

I filled a prescription for the first time with these guys- they were fantastic! Big shout out to the ladies in your Pharmacy- they made the process super easy, made sure I understood my medications and, my cost was like $120 less than I expected! It was fast and I was able to get it done on my lunch break.

Just stopped by to grab a few things before heading home my husband just had reconstructive knee surgery 2 weeks ago is on crutches and there were not any accessible wheelchairs of any kind.. he was exhausted by the end of it. Finding cheese also proved difficult. Aisle 6 if you're lost ever. Please get wheelchairs or cart chairs for the winter especially. The wet floors were slick on the rubber crutches

I'm changing from Safeway pharmacy to King Soopers pharmacy considering the times my husband has gone to Safeway they have not been kind or patient with him. He has hard time pronouncing some names of medications, today while at the pharmacy he asked Eli the employee to speak to me so I could pronounce the medication to her and I heard her loud and clear when she said "I will not" in a nasty tone of voice. She at least could of wrote down her name and phone number so I could call her but she didn't.When I call the pharmacy they don't answer the phone and even when leave a voicemail they don't get back to me.Thanks.
