2 stars for the mostly nice and helpful people who work here. These people do not include several female "managers" who really need to attend aclass on how to treat other people. Including fellow employees and customers. My most recent experience was with Valerie, who by her name tag is an assistant grocery manager. It's not good business to act like you are superior to others. Also, is it so hard to say thank you or have a good day to a customer after you have taken their money? Shameful.

Jason was an absolute star! After asking several employees where certain items were, and there response being, “it’s not my department.” I found Jason, super awesome went out of his way to guide me to the product! Exceptional customer service, give this man a raise.As far as your checkout goes, you should probably stop paying checkers who don’t want to be there compensation and just let them go. Also, I’m pretty sure the lady with the mask is a racist, would not let me hand anything to her was deeply afraid when I handed her a case of soda to scan. Maybe I’m wrong but few people go that far out of their way to avoid touching something you did. Seems silly, know how much comes down the belts, having been a former grocery employee.Also, can you please make sure you don’t have so many out of stocks? On a plus side you had more checkers than other stores in the city (Safeway).

FYI that this Safeway (and most others in Colorado right now) does NOT accept Apple Pay. Wouldn’t be a huge problem normally, but I’ve called several times in advance to see if they’ve fixed the problem and each time they’ve said they have (and that Apple Pay works), only for me to get to the register and not be able to use it. Huge bummer when I lost my card and did a whole grocery trip just to get turned around after 45 mins of shopping. Staff is friendly but not wellinformed.

I think the Safeway on Drake is the nicest Safeway in Fort Collins. They have people working at this store that use to work at the old Safeway on 287. I think the produce at this store can compare to WholeFoods or Sprouts. The store is very clean They have a big self checkout and nice parking lot. There is a hardware store next door, a gas station and a poudre feed store close by so that is an added good feature

Safeway.. has what you need. There is even a Claw coin operated machine to try and win stuff toys out of. Also this location on Drake and the one on Harmony are currently open later than King Soopers and Walmart. Call the stores for hours. The Google times often need updating.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at this Safeway recently! While browsing the bakery section, I stumbled upon a fantastic yellow monster cake that turned out to be the perfect centerpiece for my cousin's birthday celebration. Gracy (I think her name was), was incredibly helpful and guided me through the process, ensuring that I could purchase the cake hassle-free.The variety of cakes, ranging from charming monster cupcakes to elegant floral designs, showcased an impressive level of artistry. It was evident that the bakers and decorators at Safeway take great pride in their work, and their passion for baking truly shines through in their creations. I had the pleasure of speaking with Cella, THE cake decorator, who patiently answered all my questions about the cake-making process, displaying a deep knowledge of her craft. Her expertise and enthusiasm for cake decorating was evident, reinforcing my confidence in this Safeway's talented staff. With such a remarkable cake selection and a team of talented and friendly staff, this Safeway has undoubtedly become my go-to destination for high-quality baked goods!

I go here regularly, and the service is usually pretty good. I went a couple times recently, and checked out with Andrew. Late 20s early 30s, glasses, medium length dark hair. Today I did not check out with him as I did self checkout, and sure enough he was gladly helping out a customer with a good attitude. Great attitude, applied a coupon for me that I didn't have, and informed me that I missed a free item that was buy one get one free. Quick, polite, and helpful. I hope he receives recognition and reward for outstanding service.

It's very frustrating that every time we get a grocery order for pickup, they always mess something up or substitute something completely unrelated to the original item. And then it's a hassle to go in and exchange or return it.

I'd like to issue a warning to prospective employees. I've had an experience here that suggests to me there are better places to work. I'll explain so you can make your own judgement.Despite being supposedly a union job it sounds like there is some rather serious abuse of employees here. My partner requested time off in a way that was supposedly a violation of "company culture" or something to the effect, and the bakery manager (Erin) responded in retaliation by reducing her working hours. We spoke to a store manager (Rita) who seemed initially willing to speak to me and take the issue seriously, but upon hearing that my partner had quit said "oh, well problem solved." We called the store and spoke to someone on the phone (Kelly) who politely directed us to what I understand to be the director of the store (Vallery, I am not sure how to spell her name) who was exceptionally rude to me over4 the phone. She seemed to misunderstand the situation regarding retaliation and produced alternative explanations 4 or 5 times before finally telling me she understood the story. Her final response was that "retaliation" was the wrong word and that she was no longer going to speak to me.I assume this behavior is a violation of their union contract, but it seems as though employees are not properly admitted into the union except after a certain amount of time. Erin explicitly mentioned this fact seemingly as a threat.Its very disappointing to see this kind of attitude at 3 managerial levels. It's more disappointing to see a "union" job operate this way.Like I said, you should make your own decision - but there are much more respectful employers in Fort Collins and I advise you to seek those jobs out.

On July 25 at night, I had the worst experience in this supermarket at checkout number 1 with the cashier named Therese, who yelled at me that she could help me through checkout 1, which wasn't even on. I invite everyone to avoid this worker so as not to have this terrible experience which made me feel discriminated against.

Came in with my mom and cashier that has worked here since we moved here. She always is nice to customers in front of us in line and today was ignoring my mom trying to scan her digital coupons. My mom tried 3 times and my mom reached to the side no PAST plexiglass and jumped back like my mom was going to punch her! I have never enjoyed this woman's service at this store and today my mom the sweetest person out there cried because of this woman. I will no longer be shopping at this store!

I had to have the self check out lady remove items for me as I didn't notice the insane price increase on certain items. She was incredibly rude to me and made me feel so bad about having to remove items that I needed, but can no longer afford. I drove over to the Walgreens in the same parking lot and got the items I needed at the price they used to be at safeway. I will be grocery shopping anywhere else but safeway after my experience today. Get better staff who knows how to work in customer service

Like the store and workers although understaffed, multiple items did not ring up correctly, sales and downloads rang full price had to get refund following day, they took good care of me. The website does not work well for online, especially on my phone. I can't just look up a specific item like I can at King Soopers most of the time, it will say no option available forcing me to go into home, departments and scan through whole category to find the items that you do have when I was told you did not I HATE having to spend so much time to find items. Once again the people at the store are great, your systems ate not.

Therese (employee at this store) was very, very disrespectful. Rolling her eyes at us, even when we said, “Hello, how are you doing?” Completely ignored us. The weirdest thing, she was all chatty with the guy in front of us but as soon as we approached - very disrespectful. Making faces to us, sarcastic remarks, very rude! I’ve worked in customer service at king soopers for a while before, and I would never treat anyone like she has. We never did anything wrong, yet she chose to be rude. When my brother looked away, I watched as she made this evil eye look and rolled her eyes, like who does she think she is to treat customers like that? If anyone is helped by her, I am sorry for you, she just does not know how to be nice but only rude. Because of her, I won’t be coming back again.

From zero to hero - how this location went from 1 star to 5 stars over two years. When I first moved to Ft. Collins, I had a terrible experience here with a chicken salad sandwich with no chicken. It was the worst shopping experience I've ever had. But recently, I had the best experience, with a very friendly cashier, JJ. They were very kind and made a late-night dinner run into a memorable interaction.

Therese (cashier) was very disrespectful and rude rolling her eyes and being mean. She had bagged our stuff but I kindly told her that we had our own bags but it was okay we would still just take the bag and pay 10 cents .. so she unbagged all our grocery’s after I said it was okay and rolled her eyes. She’s always been rude everytime I go in . She accidentally dropped my peaches on the floor and as I was picking them up she rolled her eyes. She clearly shouldn’t be working in customer service. Pretty disappointed when I went in on Friday the 12th and was talking to a baker about putting in my cake order. I was informed I only need to put a cake order in 48hr in advance.Well I called today Wednesday the 17th to put in my cake order to be picked up Saturday morning, and was turned away and told that they took too many graduation cake orders, and so they aren't taking any cake orders through the weekend.Really upset and disappointed, this is my story, this is where I was getting my daughters birthday cake. Was treated rude and I'm just shocked I was told one thing and then turned away.

Prices are DOUBLE other stores, but deals can be good. They just double their prices right before the sale, so the sale price looks a bit better. You REALLY have to know your prices before shopping here. Produce quality is vey good.

Good grocery store. Good selection. They do sneaky layout things like split breakfast meats on the other side of the store from eggs and hash browns so you have to walk through more departments. That's an example of something awful. More pricey than Target or Walmart. Convenient neighborhood location.The update is okay. It feels more industrial with the concrete epoxy floors. There are still some strange choices on how they stock shelves.

The guy in the meat department is top notch! Keep himI've had a lot of wonderful experiences at the store! But today the worst Experience has presented itself I tried to check out at the self checked out The cashier working it that's there to help was so rude!! Told me to stop touching the bags in the bags as I was trying to double bag one of my bags Then she proceeded to tell me how I should hold the bag I told her that that's irrelevant to her she started yelling and cussing at me. This rating was a 5 star it's a 3 now
