I adopted a kitty from here, when I first got her it felt like she didn't like my home and missed the shelter. Because they have a super nice set up. The cat rooms they have are clean and colorful. What I'm most impressed with is the level of care they receive, all the way to grooming. They have professional, that you can tell really put they're heart into it, my cat felt like a cloud of silk. I've tried to wipe her down and she hates it. So I know she wasn't easy to clean, but she was immaculate when I adopted her.

I adopted my kitten here recently and my dad adopted one as well after seeing mine lol and they are so, so great. All of the cats were very well taken care of and in these large rooms together playing and cuddling. The staff was super friendly and answered all my questions. They already have all the vaccines she could have and was already spayed which was great. She had a little bit of sneezing when I first brought her home but that’s pretty normal and I used my usual vet and everything went really smooth. HIGHLY recommend as you can tell these animals are well loved and cared for. My girl loves her fur baby siblings and sleeps on our chest every night ❤️

The staff are wonderful people. I had issues with my kitten for about a year, but now he's better on prescription food. Just know that these animals may have some issues, as they are rescues, so be sure they are healthy before you take them home.

Incredible place to get a new friend and member of your family. The staff is extremely professional and have huge hearts for the animals they are serving. The entire process was a great experience and I am very thankful we went through them to find our new pet. You will need to fill out an online application to begin the process, but I am very glad they do this. It helps them to ensure that their animals get into the best home they can. Once you get there, you have various ways to be able to interact with the dog to see if he or she would be good for your family and that you would be good for them. You can even walk them on the property in a nice open field. I have attached some pictures of the new family member we got their as he is enjoying his new home.

I just adopted a pup, sick pup from here last week. I have spoken to 2 vets around here and they said the shelter should have done a respiratory panel on her to see exactly what is wrong with her, especially since their responsibility was to get her well before adoption and I have had to put her on 3 rounds of antibiotics .…..Cayenne just advised me that I did sign a paper saying I know she is sick, i totally understand and acknowledge that they did say she has a URI …..said Cayenne said the team will decide as to what they decide they will do for her and they will give me a call…I will update this review as I find out the truth and how much this establishment really does care….I sure hope these are real doctors here and they are honest and I sure hope they put the health of their animals first, she sure is sick…TO BE CONTINUED……UPDATEI took her back in several times and requested they do the respiratory panel and THEY DID! it’s a good thing too be she was so sick and had to actually go through 2 kinds of antibiotics to get well. She’s doing great now! I would just recommend that u prospective parents keep on your toes and ASK QUESTIONS, be knowledgeable in what exactly is going on with the animal and really just be a team.

Both my wife and I have adopted cats from AFA. I adopted my cat Dove a few years ago and the process was easy and I was treated very well. She passed away last week due to complications with her feline leukemia and today I got a letter from them with handwritten messages and condolences. I can’t describe how much it means to me. I couldn’t recommend them enough.

Animal Friends Alliance is an incredible place! Their stated mission to spay, neuter, adopt and rehome dogs and cats is work that Mother Teresa would be proud of.

We adopted a two month old kitten from this place. She died a month later from an underlying condition that the vet said would have been caught if they did blood work. Just a reminder that just because its a kitten doesn't mean it's healthy, our family was emotionally destroyed by the loss of Bellatrix, be aware guys.

Such a wonderful place and take really good care of their animals! I would recommend this place if you want to adopt an animal!!! Also consider donating so they can continue to take such good care of the babies

This is a spay and neuter FACTORY. They spay your animal quickly then send them home to you with no aftercare. Seen many cases where animals end up with infection or hematomas after going here. It is really sad what they’re getting away with.

Really love the staff and the outdoor area they have here! My boyfriend and I fell in love with Willow as soon as we saw her, and are so happy with what a good dog she's turned out to be. She's goofy, sweet, and loves to cuddle. She did have a horrible case of happy tail when we rescued her, but with lots of love and a little time, her tail has healed over and looks amazing. Would highly recommend adopting from here, or just stopping in to check it out!

We recently adopted another dog after our last two passed. We came back to Animal Friends Alliance where we went last time and even though the name has changed from Animal House we again found another great dog for our family. Even though the visits are far apart I hope they are still around for the next one.

One of the best experiences I’ve had with dog adoption. I’ve been looking for the perfect dog for my family for 6 months. This adoption agency has been the best I’ve been to. They worked with me on timing as we needed my boys to meet the dog before bringing him home, they made it work. We have added a new member to the family with Animal Friends Alliance. Thank you Alden!

This is the best rescue! They gave us a lot of helpful information during the adoption process and after when our new pup was settling in. You can tell they really care about the animals in their care and I am so thankful for them allowing us to adopt our best friend.

Took my precious Border Collie / Schipperke to their grooming salon get the works. So impressed! WOW! He looks so clean-cut and his nails are perfect! They were obviously very loving because he came back to me feeling very safe (a feat for my anxious baby). It cost exactly the estimate ($65) and it was worth every cent! Definitely will be back.BEFORE / AFTER PICTURES ATTACHED

Adopted two cats with undisclosed health issues. They didn’t take me seriously nor did they look deeply into the issue. I surrendered one of the adopted cats with what I believe to be a chronic illness and they put them back up for adoption immediately. I’m sure the next owner is going to have to have a great time dealing with it and they haven’t bothered to disclose.Edit: I am disappointed that AFA has decided to lie in the comment beneath me. The medication given was to treat coccidia which was the suspected cause the diarrhea. I returned the kittens to their care, and they stated that there were no issues. That same day both cats came down with diarrhea, with the one returned having the most severe. I do not believe them when they said both animals were healthy. I went to my vet and got a prescription diet and fed both of them on it for weeks. The diarrhea in the returned cat did not resolve, got significantly worse, and had fresh blood in the stool 24 hours before I returned them. It took them 48 hours to relist the cat, despite giving a detailed account of the behavior which I observed. My vet could not find what was wrong at his practice, and recommended internal medicine at a specialist. I could not afford such a procedure after losing my former cat just a year after adoption due to another medical issue from AFA, and I returned the new animal. I feel cheated by AFA, and I suspect them of lying from the very beginning and will not be adopting animals from them again.

I adopted the best dog in the world at this place! They were all very friendly and asked a lot of questions to make sure he was going to a good home. The process was fast & simple and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

I am sad I have to leave this review. This shelter claims that they are about helping the community, and they will take in stray cats in need. Well i found a stray cat in need who had a full blockage of his urinary tract system. I called AFA to see if they would take the cat in, because the vet highly reccomened them and they claim on their website to "have the shelter space" for cats off the street. Seriously, look at their "Community cat program" page. Well, apparently they no longer take in strays who werent originally adopted from their shelter, according to the staff member i spoke to. They refused to even look at the cat. The staff member on the phone laughed at me crying for this poor kitty who needed medical attention ASAP. Luckily, I called the humane society nearby and they assured me the kitty would get the medical care he needed when i dropped him off. If you want to support a shelter that actually makes a difference in our community, and is willing to help out animals in need, go somewhere else. This is not the shelter for you.

Fantastic adoption process. Staff seemed very knowledgeable and could answer any questions we had. They also pointed us towards products/vets/etc that they trusted. I don't have a picture of the place, but look how happy our new puppies are together!

It is a nice facility, that’s about it. Make sure if you go and have any intentions of meeting with an animal that you have an application on file. Apparently you have to do that before even meeting with an animal that you may not even want to move forward with after meeting? I get that it’s probably to limit interactions to people who are serious about adopting, but it still makes no sense in respect to getting animals adopted quickly. Some people walk in with no intention of meeting an animal and then want to and could walk out with a new adoption. Regardless, I’d never been there before and I asked to meet a cat and the girl was rude and condescending about the whole application situation. We also walked in and no one spoke a word to us the entire visit until I asked about meeting the cat. You’d think they’d want animals to get adopted, but the volunteers/employees seemed like they couldn't care less about making that happen. I get that customer service at places like this isn’t the number one concern, I usually don’t care about things like that. But being essentially ignored the whole time and then shamed for asking a question didn’t leave a good taste in my mouth about this place. I really wish it was a better experience so it’s unfortunate.

Staff was helpful. It was super busy and a little hard to bond with any of the animals with how many people were everywhere, but it might have been the grand opening. The rooms the animals were kept in were nice and you could tell the animals were well taken care of and that the staff actually cared about them which is amazing. Overall, it was a good experience and we left very happy.
