we adopted our first dog from their shelter today and it was such an easy and incredible process. we were able to visit with the dogs right away, the staff gave us time to really meet her and see her personality. when we decided to adopt, the front desk lady was helpful and took us through everything step by step. they made the process very inviting and we were so happy to bring our new family member home :)

I got both of my kittens male and female from this place, the kittens were in good conditions one had health concerns but the place was very slow and understaffed. The staff was sometimes rude but overall good. The prices are very overpriced especially for cats, if you are looking for a forever friend I would go here, the animals deserve a home!

Drove 2 hours both ways to pick up my pup! The animal care technicians were super awesome, friendly, and knowledgeable about the dogs! I arrived early and had to wait til adoption actually opened(totally fine) but once the process started I was in and out pretty quickly with my new friend. Also, the other adopters were friendly and made the experience even better! Thanks for my new baby!

We adopted when they were still the Weld county humane society before, it was okay but we were debating whether we would ever adopt from them again. After the merger, I can confidently say I would. The staff is so kind and visibly cares about the animals that are in their care. They were kind to me, kind to others and excited for every dog that got to go home. I went in 3 times over the course of 4 days waiting for the dog I wanted to be up for adoption. Every single day I went in the staff were kind, answered questions, and did what they could. Wonderful folk and wonderful pups.

I fostered four kittens for nearly three months. This facility gave me no support in terms of litter, food, litter boxes, instructions, anything. I spent hundreds of dollars on these kittens, but I didn't mind. I wanted to adopt all four, but at least two of the bonded pairs. I was told that staff had already "called dibs" on these kittens. Why were they not fostering at their own expense for three months? This place is dirty. The people appear to be unqualified. I'm not sure what is more cruel - having no facility for the strays or having a facility as horrid as this one. It's bad. The way they behave towards the people trying to help them is telling and gross. What kind of monsters are running this place?

Our elderly dog got out and I was waiting for the doors to open. I knew she was there. One of the staff ran not walked me through the kennels to look for her. Something was going on why I was rushed. Didn't see her then the officer took me to a kennel and my dog was over medicated. She was a filthy. All I wanted to do was to get her the heck out of there. The officer asked me it might be time to put her downShe has aged out. I kept my temper and told him I want to take her home. Let me pay and you will kindly put her in my truck. I will never recommend this place to anyone. It is inhumane how they treat animals.

We loved all the care given to these sweet animals and the staff's dedication to finding them good homes. I brought my son so he could find a dog, the staff was really good with the dog and my son. They gave him good instructions on how to care for his new dog.

came in and adopted a cat yesterday, and he’s already made himself a part of my family ☺️the shelter was very clean and the staff were really friendly. they had a lot of different cats there and their cat rooms and kennels were clean and comfy. the staff were giving the animals a lot of attention and interaction before the visits started, and the cats were lovin it. i’ll definitely check them out if i decide to add onto my family again 💜

I got to visit this place the other day and brought home a brand new family member! After going to meet another dog that was being adopted right as I was walking in, they allowed me to meet a dog that was similar in temperament and had been returned that day! I spoke with numerous members of the staff, and they all clearly care for these animals and I appreciate how quickly I was able to get in and out of there and take home my new baby Louisa. The staff assists in cat testing and introducing a dog to your own dog when you bring them and I was grateful to have so much time and attention while making a decision on what was best for me, my family, and Louisa. They were incredibly up front with the dogs background, possible issues, and let me read the paperwork on the person who returned her. Transparency and compassion seem to be key here, so definitely stop by, as it was worth the hour and a half drive for me!

Adopted an 8 month old kitten from here a couple weeks ago, and although she is lovely and the adoption process was easy, she did not seem to be treated for anything they said she was treated for. She came home with a URI which they swore she didn't have and if she did they would have treated her. Uri was confirmed by a vet two days after adoption. Recently noticed she has worms in her stool. She was supposedly treated with dewormer in the shelter. What they do is good but as this was my first time adopting from a shelter, I am very disappointed in the supposed treatment my girl was supposed to have gotten.

We went to find a kitten for my 6-year-old. They had 2 left. The staff there are super nice. They allowed us to meet both kittens and were happy to answer any questions we had. We ended up adopting both because we found out they were sisters, so we didn't want to split them up. My daughter is super happy and a proud kitty mommy. I would definitely recommend this shelter for anyone looking to adopt.

The overall experience was good. It was clean and most of the employees were nice. They charged me $60 for holding my cat for a few hours after someone dropped him off which I think is a lot of money for a few hours. I didn't appreciate that the receptionist kept helping other customers while she was helping me when there were plenty of employees to take care of the other customers. Especially since I was struggling to hold my fussy baby and fill out the paperwork at the same time.

Hadn’t been in for a while so yesterday while dropping off some donations for the shelter went inside and was absolutely horrified about conditions in the front kitty areas. Very dirty in general, feces mixed in with cat food food on the floor, horrible smell, FIV positive cat caged but not isolated. No clue why Larimer and Weld Humane Societies merged but I assumed merger would be positive for the animals but based on one post-merger visit I’d say conditions have significantly deteriorated. I really feel for kitties in that front holding area.

Have done a lot of adoption shopping the past few weeks. It's been a nightmare, till we found weld County humane society. The people were awesome and a clean facility. The dog meet and greet was knowledgeable and welcoming. We came home with a new pup today thanks to knowledgeable and easy processing.

I have adopted 2 dogs from here. The staff cares so incredibly. They haven't had enough staff for sometime. Being overworked and performing miracles amongst being the most busy I have ever seen has made me in awe of these people. The dogs were properly cared for. The people disclosed all information they had and spent a lot of time with me doing doggy meet n greets between my dog and the ones I've adopted. Even crazy busy, the staff is so professional and kind. Im almost sad to see the merge with Larimer county because these people are the bees knees. I hope the new ones can be as kind and good.

I took my family down to see if you could find a new addition to the family. We found a great pup and took him home. The staff were all wonderful, super friendly and helped us find the doggo that would be the best fit for us and the dog.Hoping to return in a few months to adopt a feline friend.

It wasn't open yet. They were in the parking lot while repairs were being done. I had my deceased killy with me. I wanted to cremate her and bring her ashes home like I have done with my other kitties. They said they didn't do that anymore. What a shame! I liked the service they provided. I wish that service would please, please come back!

I feel so blessed that our community is served by this shelter. Of course, having adopted our dog Scott from there, I am biased, but I have visited several times to turn in lost dogs and the staff are always friendly and so happy to take care of the dogs I've brought in. The animals seem well looked after, as much as can be done at a shelter, anyway, and there are often initiatives going on to increase local adoptions.

Adopted a sweet boy and absolutely love him. Inexpensive with all shots and health records as well as a free vet visit after adoption. Snowball took a few days to get used to being loved. He's now my cuddle buddy.

Careful they adopt out aggressive animals without warning. The dog we adopted mauled and killed my other dog last night. No warning that this dog was aggressive. I was told they would adopt her back out after I surrendered her back to them. Be cautious if you have children or smaller dogs/cats. They do not care. Adopting out dangerous dogs to the community what a fun place. I hope you all feel good about what you do. Nice warm and fuzzy. Meanwhile I had to bury my dog this morning with her throat ripped out and ears torn to shreds. Never again weld county is something else especially Evans.

So annoyed. Every time we visit, the staff is always so rude. Right now, we went to go pick up our friend because her cat was missing. It says it closes at 6pm, and when we get there at 5:15pm, the doors are locked. We wait there and ring for a good 2 minutes until the one of the 10 staff in there opens for us and tells its it’s closed. WHY WOULD YOU GUYS CLOSE A WHOLE 45 MINUTES EARLY?! Wasted our time. I hate this place and it’s staff so much. Also it needs renovation. It’s hideous inside. The one in Loveland is sooooo much cleaner, spacious and better than this ugly one. I say you guys need better staff and a better building

Helpful staff under stressful conditions. They care for the animals and the humans alike. Easy adoption as long as your landlord agrees. Cute kittens available soon!!

These people are cruel and obnoxious. we came to find a cat we had lost and the people yelled at us immediately when we walked in. then it took them 25 minutes to even talk to us when there wasnt even many people there. the proceed to take my friend to one out of four rooms they had for cats.we had to talk to another work to see the others. they are in very INHUMANE enclosures. very sad to see people who claim to care about animals treating them so poorly. should be called the INHUMANE SOCIETY

This place is amazing! These guys really put so much love, time and effort into each relationship with their animals and their customers. I came in today to potentially adopt and the two young girls at the front desk were extremely friendly and very helpful! I would recommend adopting from these guys any day! Shoutout to everyone who helped me today, you guys rock!
