Great store in Estes Park. They will have all of your basic necessities if you are out here for a visit or just traveling. They were out of stock of some things but all in all not too bad.

FIVE STARS for the employees, who despite the increased tourist hordes, manage to smile and keep the train somewhat on the tracks. This store used to be much nicer, but over-tourism has made shopping less reliable due to constant lack of stock. That's the reason why we often have to travel to Longmont for groceries. They just expanded the store several years ago and it's already too small for the current amount of business..

Very pleased with the gorgeous cake Hannah made for my daughter’s birthday! The fresh strawberry filling was amazing as well as the cake and icing. Thank you again, and I’ll definitely be ordering for future special occasions.

Very overpriced and very misleading. You’ll see « Sale » written in big letters but it isn’t specified that you need to be a member or use their app until you see the sale didn’t apply at the register. Great selection but at twice the price as other grocerie stores.

I tried to call the store but couldn’t get anyone so I just had to share this here. I ordered curbside and when I arrived home, noticed the graham cracker box was not only squished, but that someone tried to tape it back together.I’m glad there’s a Safeway here and the option to do pickup. I normally have an a-okay experience in the store so not going to drag down the star rating. I’ve just never seen a store try to scotch tape food back together and it cracked me up.

Shame on Safeway for prioritizing profits over customers and employees! Took 5 minutes to shop and over 15 minutes to check out. The cashier looked dead in the eyes and said this wasn't that bad. One register open and the self checkout line was so long it stretched to the deli.Make a little less in corporate profits and have more staff!

It seems the store has enough employees to do the jobs but not enough time while the bakery deli and produce sections are always staffed they are not stocked they are missing house made products like guac and bagels and other items it's like you have the employees but don't give them enough time to do their jobs and being the only store it be nice if the house products you're supposed to have I can't afford name brands

Graham is the best cashier ever. He was such a delight to talk to as he was full of complements and jokes for me and my family as we were checking out here for the holidays. He is excellent at his job and he put a genuine smile on all of our faces.

My first time in the store, overall store was nice and stocked. But in the checking out experience was very ugly. The cashier greeted Us as if he was not happy we were there. For us he was rude and disrespectful. Ihaworked

The song choices of this store are kind of disturbing.Like Joe Jackson’s ‘Is She Really Going Out With Him?” Is a song about a man being jealous of another man he deems ugly and his relationship, which is just weird. But specifically. ‘Steal my Kisses,’ by Ben Harper is literally about a man pushing himself onto a woman who doesn’t want it, following her when she moves away to Carolina.Seriously way to make the shopping experience super awkward listening to music about that

Safeway seriously needs more Self-Checkout registers at their Estes Park store. This pictures was taken on 5/16/22, not even the "busy season".Follow up- I've added a picture of a sign in the store. To the owner of this establishment, I do not know of any grocery store besides this one that would think it is acceptable to ask customers to wait 10 minutes to check out, as you can see from my previous picture, most of the patrons only have 1 or 2 items and who wants to wait 10 minutes to buy a carton of milk? Please take action to add more self check out stands in your store and to ensure they are all open as well. Thank you.

While on vacation we stopped here to get a few things, snacks, and wine for our room.We are from out of town, so anywhere we go we are polite and friendly but that was not reciprocated. Anyways, we placed our items on the moving belt an older male cashier (we didn’t get his name) he didn’t even greet us with a smile or simple “Hello”, or “Hope you found everything okay “. Nothing!!!!! So rude!! 😡Customers walking here like they’re entitled. We felt uncomfortable and unwelcome in this town.Staff is rude and prices are ridiculously expensive! Thank goodness we’re just here on vacation, I wouldn’t want to live here!!

Its hard being the only groceey store for miles. While they cant compare in price or selection of the bigger stores, you can tell they are trying to make up for it with super friendly staff and trying to stock a little of everything. While this IS a safeway - so some of the basic wants, like a self checkout that is easy or putting items where they make sense (i guess refrigerated juice belongs in the fruits and veggie section?) this was the most friendly and interestingly stocked safeway ive been to.

Whenever we visit Estes Park we always come to Safeway to get groceries for our cabin/condo. The store is clean and well stocked. The ready to East food from the deli is very good particularly the fried chicken. The staff is helpful and do not mind helping obvious tourists.

I had the best shopping experience today with the cashier, Paolina’s help. She was so kind, which really improved my day. I couldn’t be more thankful for her help & overall, just making my day.

Good selection and prices, but the lines are just ridiculous. Only one register with a human is open, and the self-checkout line goes all the way behind the bakery. Couldn’t you add some more self-checkouts? I saw several customers walk away and abandon their carts.

The sushi chefs are supposed to be there to take custom orders and they never are. They get there super early make the same gross rolls and leave before 10 am. It’s ridiculous. Every other Safeway I’ve been to the sushi chefs are there at least until after lunch.

Be careful. Sometimes they’ll substitute your entire meal. Was planning on preparing chili dogs, they decided we wanted hamburgers…..

You can tell this is normally a small town, didn't have the selection that I'm used to. I feel they stocked up well for their size. The isles were very tight, but again needed all the isles they could get. The workers were very nice. Felt clean and had a little bit of everything.

The cashier was a very unhappy and unpleasant woman. She was talking to another customer about how she hates this time of the year and can't wait for the tourist season to end. The products are poorly stocked, overpriced, and many items were completely out.

This location was easy to get in and out of. I did not have their store club card, but I do have a Tom Thumb card and it was accepted here. This made my visit so much better. I did not have to apply for the card just to save a little cash for my one and only visit I would make here. They had nice deals on many things. They also have one of the biggest coffee selections I have ever seen in a store. Folks were also very friendly at this location. Go in and stock up. You will be glad you did.

A tourist town grocery that doesn't know how to manage or properly pay their employees to actually have enough employees to check out tourist or locals. 2 lanes open and lines as long as the store....completely empty shelves.

No issues here, and prices were reasonable (downloading Safeway's app certainly helped with that as well). We made the mistake of going to the Country Market first, as it was closer to where we were staying, thinking we'd get everything there and not have to venture into the mess of traffic. That was a mistake. Not only did we not find everything, but prices seemed more gouge-y than at Safeway. And we wound up going to Safeway four times over the five days we were in Estes Park, because we kept remembering things we needed or wanted. My only complaint is that it was very busy every time. And that's not a knock on Safeway. Obviously the town, during peak tourist season, has outgrown having basically 1.25 grocery stores. I have no idea if there's government officials or year-round residents blocking more stores from building, but either building a bigger, more modern Safeway (with more parking), or some other competitor moving in here would benefit residents and tourists alike.

Endless line in a self check out with the only register working. Nobody wants to work for the wages they pay.

Safeway in Estes Park, Colorado, has a wide selection of various goods, groceries and some pharmacy products, they have a very great selection of meat, and cheese as well, actually they have a wide selection of most items you could think they would have and more, even açaí bowls which made me very happy.you can get ice here, but you have to pay for it inside and grab it outside.they also have a Starbucks inside.parking has been quite full each time I´ve visited.friendly and helpful staff.

I love the singing self-checkout guy who works here.... But I hate how busy this place always is.I also love the conveneince of having a grocery store with a wide variety of groceries and other items so close to where I live... However, I hate how expensive this Safeway is. I understand though, that this is mostly due to it's location in such a touristy area.

The rudest customer service I have ever experienced. When I asked the man standing in the front of the store a question he was incredibly rude. When I asked him why he was treating me so rudely he said he was having a bad day.I will go to the country market in Estes Park for groceries from now on.

Possibly the best Safeway ever for a tourist. Load up on all food and supplies before you head out at decent prices. Just be cognizant that this is a small town - so you will not have the Costco, Walmart, Target wide selections. The view from the parking lot is incredible and unbeatable - makes grocery shopping a welcome chore.
