Went in this morning to buy two bottles of propane The kid that claims to be the manager this morning said there was no propane left. several bottles of propane in the cage with blue tabs, he said that local customers put those back on. We asked him to show us. When he came out, open the cage. Start shaking bottles at where obviously empty see no propane with an attitude. We told them show us one of the blue taps Several bottles were full and then refused to sell us any Then we ask for store manager's contact information. He said he was the manager on duty. And refuse to give us any other information to try to contact the store managerMy friend caught this on video. If anyone would like to see.

There's a new guy there. Tall young guy. Seems a bit on the spectrum of possible discrimination towards colored people. I live down the street and always come in to get last minute things. Never had an issue in there. As soon as I've seen him he was checking around the store and following me where he was at almost checking to see if I stole something.

A couple of days ago, I went to the register, I asked the guy working there a really simple question, he answered “I don’t understand your accent”I’ve been speaking English since I was 6, I’m not perfect but I make myself clear.Every time I go there he is extremely rude with me or my family members.

This place is an eyesore - inside and out. Inside it looks like a messy third world bodega. Outside, the grounds are strewn with trash. Employees not so helpful. Cannot believe FedEx chose this place as a drop off.

It’s unfortunate really. They have a lot of stuff but the manager is an absolute menace. There’s stuff thrown about messily and when I asked for something the manager got sassy with me and stormed off “it’s right where the other guy told you and that’s all we have girly” she then left to keep stocking and I overheard her saying to an associate who just started that she’s so upset she’s the only one here for the next 2 weeks….ok but that’s not the other associates problem.

They carry a good variety of items. Its usually a quick in and out visit but the clerk Wayne was so busy trying to impress his coworker with his knowledge of string theory that he completely left out any customer service skills and I had to wait until he finally got to a stopping point to get my items checked out. Most of the other cashiers are polite and friendly.

They have absolutely nothing on the shelves. The customer service has went down tremendously. They didn’t even have bags to put my stuff in. She said “we’re out of bags and that’s what people should expect being in the mountains.”I’ve lived up here for years and it’s never been this bad.I miss the old manager. He was always there and was always so friendly.

Ended going here because Safeway was way overpriced. They actually had the cookies we were looking for and the stationary too. They have a surprisingly decent inventory of items. Glad we went here. They even had an ice scraper in stock with we desperately needed.

HAPPY 5th BIRTHDAY, DOLLAR GENERAL; ESTES PARK !!!!To all the complainers below me, and to the ones coming here to do the same... Have some grace. When it comes to the heat, the A/C, the clutter in the isles, shelf stocking and staff shortage. That is NOT the locations fault. It's CORPORATE, they are at the mercy of corporate and what corporate allows. I repeat, have some grace. It'd make you grumpy too. The employees can only take so much before they start to lash out. Should they? Of course not, but even a boiling pot can over flow. I, myself, love helping straighten the shelves. If everyone put things back where they belong, the store wouldn't be so trashed. My opinion of course. If you've read this far, Hi! Thank you. Last but not least..*****HAVE SOME GRACE*****

Being a local, this is a great little place to get many things you may have to go down the hill to get. Rachel is a very valuable employee that always has a smile on her face and handles things professionally. I don't know if she's the manager, but she should be and she deserves a raise!

The shelves are never totally stocked. I told them I would stick at nite, if I could bring my dogs. Nope, not allowed.The manager and assistant manager are. A+ people. Very pleasant, and very helpful.I don't know your corporate rules, so I don't know anything about salaries, but decent pay would bring good, dependable help, and maybe if the managers got more pay there would be more incentive. They do everything because they are short on staff!Give it some thought, not only for our store, your other stores everywhere.

Ahhhh.....This store would be better if a certain employee wouldn’t gossip and defame customers constantly!For two years this is all Ive heard from them, about everyone in the community you can imagine!Today, it was me. I had to re-enter the store due to forgetting something- and loud as heck- I could hear her going on about me, and in an unkind manner.( Ive done nothing to this person).I know there have been complaints about this particular employee many times, yet previous management never cared.This employee’s behavior is atrocious, tho she hides much of it well! It’s like a virus and extremely toxic.There is new management at this store,and they are kind always as far as I have experienced,However-Today was the last day I will ever shop at this store.

This place has such bad vibes each time I go, I feel like I'm shopping in an entirely different town. Several times the staff doesn't greet me after I greet them. Everybody's a zombie in here. One of the staff members was surely nice this time,... but a customer in line has some social anxieties because she was fronting at us. If I wanted conflict I would be out there looking for it, now instead I'll have to avoid this place to avoid conflict.

I was in from out of town and needed a couple balloons filled to celebrate my parent’s anniversary. Safeway would only fill balloons purchased at their store, but Dollar General said it was no problem. The store had a lot of other things I needed, a great party decoration section, and the man who filled up the balloons was so helpful and friendly.

Always nice staff. Excellent type of store for Estes Park. They need more stock, though. It seems like if I don't get there the morning after they get truck, everything has been cleaned out.

I really appreciate the convenience of having another store to go to get basics but beware of the pricing. I find that Walmart and other"bargain" stores do this same thing! Make sure you check your pricing and what they are charging you, there always seems to be a difference between the tag on the shelf and what they actually charge you. Other than this, employees are nice and the store is generally clean and organized.

Any store has the same products elsewhere. I did not come to dollar general for it's variety but because it was convinient. However any store with generic products should have good customer service. "Can you pick up a bag?" A smart remark that should never be made to a customer in bad attitude when I did not reach over the turn table to get my bags as he was still placing things in them. The entire time this rude guy stared at me like he was expecting something from me like he was waiting for me to give him some remark so he had more of a reason to be rude! His job is not that hard, he should be fired. It is not that much work to put the things in the bags and turn the bag table so I can get my stuff and I know you are done. I'll never be coming back and I recommend many others never go. Pick a store with friendlier customer service, they deserve your money. Read other reviews and Im sure many of them entail the same guy. Black shirt, dark hair, bad attitude.

While traveling I have never really used Dollar General before. But I can honestly say the staff in this store have changed my mind. During my whole week stay they always greeted me with a warm smile and always helped me. I highly recommend stoping by this place to pick up any kind of supply you might need before you go camping in the Great Rocky Mountain Park or in Estes.

The people there have always been very helpful! My son loves the employees up there and gets excited when we go there! It also allows me to get away from Safeway! However, the store is pretty jumbled at times! Still great though! ☺️👍

The manager was unfairly rude to me because I forgot my mask. He didn’t politely come up to me and say “can you please bring your mask next time” nope he said “come on man you are a local you should know better!” That was pretty rude to say considering I only came in for a bag of chips. I realize that these times are stressful but that doesn’t give him the right to be rude to local customers who keep the dollar store alive in the winter. That just wasn’t right. Maybe you should work on that.

We will never go there again when we go back there next year Employee named Cindy the day dec 23 around 7 pm. She got into with my wife for not wearing a mask bc where we live its optional if you are Vaccinated. She was so rude to my wife, and my wife was nothing but kind and polite to the cashier. When my wife said she didn't even live there, after the cashier said people in estes park were the worst she had ever met, my wife walked away and said icjust came here to get medicine for my baby. She said as my wife walked away that there was nowhere else in this town to get meds at that time of night. My wife continued out the door and told her to have a blessed christmas. Thats when the cashier said "bite me" my wife asked for a pen and paper to write a formal complaint and was told go get one herself. My wife decided to defuse the situation and leave. She said she would find meds somewhere else and the cashier laughed and said maybe both you and your sick baby will die

The store in Estes Park is incredibly disorganized. My wife and I were in there on Sunday and there were rolling carts full of boxes of stock sitting all over the store. Today my wife and I were in there expecting the stock to be put away but instead there were boxes throwing all on the shelves nowhere near where they belong all over the store the product areas were empty there are rolling carts full of boxes all over the store still from Sunday. One person working the register a huge line one person I'm guessing supposed to be stocking wandering around the store doing nothing but turning bottles of the minimal product that is on the Shelf so the labels face the front. This is ridiculous. The sign in the store all over the shelves they do to covid-19 our stock has been short blah blah blah but if they would put the stock away the stock would not be short. Corporate needs to send somebody to that store. That store obviously needs a new manager. Very dissatisfied.

Great place, has lots of everything. They are open til 10pm each night. Thats great for Estes Park.Good place to get makeup, toiletries, kitchen supplies, pet supplies, baby supplies, even has a small freezer section, and lots more.

While I am not trying to break the rules. I called to ask how many seniors were really shopping this morning in the snow. The employee who answered the phone would not even let me finish my question. So while sitting in the parking lot waiting to go in I saw a lady coming out. She did not look 60+ nor did she look to have compromising conditions. She even put her items in her car and came back out to the door to take a picture with the 60+ hours. Now the only reason I am shopping here is because of the snow. In these times of chaos if you want your customers to be courteous then you need to lead by example.. Do to others as you would have done to yourself.
