Perfect Breakfast! I couldn't ask for better. After a couple days on the road, this was a very welcome meal. Food is delicious and not greasy or overly salted. The eggs tasted farm fresh, the biscuits fluffy, and the gravy absolutely delicious!! 😋Stop here. You can thank me later. 😉

Nice locally owned place! Good food, environment, and location. Cooked home style with good ingredients- not overly salty or greasy like many lab formulated chain restaurants nowadays! I had a breakfast burrito and biscuits and gravy. The salsa was spicy and flavorful and not just watered down tomato paste like ~90% of places! Hash browns were 👍. Sausage was cooked and seasoned well. Good service and nice stop :)Parking: Enough to park any number or size of vehicles.

When I was planning my trip to Lamar, I was looking for restaurants along the way that would be great breakfast options. JJ's had popped up on my radar, from that moment on, I was intrigued. Seeing the praises that this restaurant had, I figured that it would be worth the try. I do not regret making that choice at all. I had a chicken fried steak with gravy, scrambled eggs, hash browns, and toast for breakfast. That might be an odd breakfast offering for those that are of the uninitiated, but it was definitely worth the money ordering it! Thank you for your wonderful service and home cooking, Jennifer! I will be stopping here from now on whenever I come out that way!

Good food and good service at a really good price. The kind of place where everyone knows each other’s names, the server and the tables all banter back and forth, and you’re welcome (even expected) to join the conversation over your coffee. I come through here once or twice a year, but this is the first time I’ve stopped here. It won’t be the last.

Average run of the mill mom and pop shop. We stopped in because it has good reviews, maybe it was an off day for them. Our waiter was a younger boy with a blue Aeropostale t-shirt on.The prices are very good which is the biggest plus. Unfortunately that is where it stopped for us. There was a number of flies flying around the table and constantly swatting them, we ordered a fairly simple order, 2 sandwiches and a salad with an appetizer.We never got our appetizer of corn and jalapeno nuggets. They were fairly busy, but numerous times the waiter disappeared for 3-5 minutes at a time, and we only got checked on one time other than when we got out food brought to us.Very slow service to unfortunately, the food tasted good, but it took 23 minutes to get our food, and took 14 minutes before we got to place our order because we didn't get waited on for almost 7 minutes after seating ourselves.I would prolly give it a pass unfortunately, even though I love to support small business but it was a miss for me. Maybe an off day for them.

Service was fine and the food was hot. We loved the salad bar, but most things we ordered (steak, chicken fried steak, Salisbury steak, green beans) lacked over all seasoning and flavor. The pie was homemade and great, but was the only thing on the menu that wowed us.

Great place to eat, well, only place to eat in this 1 horse town. Club sandwich was great, highly recommend if you are hungry. Not much else for 50+ miles.

The employees here are what made this place great! The food was good. It was not anything spectacular or anything, but it was good. I ordered a burger and fries, and it came with lettuce, tomatoes, onion, and pickles on the side. Once at the table the waitress asked me if I wanted mayo, and then brought me a small to go cup with a lid full of mayo. I guess I would have preferred everything on it before it go to me, but that's not a big deal. Anyways, I would definitely go back. I loved the kick back homelike atmosphere.

This is a nice little mom/pop eatery, set in a little postage stamp Colorado town, on US 287.The omlet I hand was tasty and the hashbrowns were done right; a nice golden crusty finish. The sausage patty ( yep, just one) was ok for what it was but at least three, or better yet, four would have been better.The price is reasonable considering this joint is in the middle of God's country. Anyway, any m/p eatery with descent food is always bettet that the big chain establishements.Now parking for passanger vehicles is a ok. For truckers, there is berm area off the travel portion/paved berm of hwy, nb; enough for two cmvs. Between the diner and the little gas station there is room for three.There is a big motel lot but one may want to get permission.Lastly, the waitress was charming and good at what she does.

Stopped in after a long day of travel. We were greeted as neighbors and treated to some hometown humor from one of the regulars. Our server was attentive and friendly. The salad bar was fresh and well stocked, and there were deviled eggs included. My wife had the Chicken Fried Steak Dinner, and I had the Flat Iron Steak Dinner. Both were enjoyably above our expectations. There was Hometown Love in those plates, and we were the chance benefactors of what the locals enjoy as everyday fare. I will stop in as often as time permits.

“Food at its finest”? Food at its lazyness.They think that growing something in the hot unhealthy oil and dump it on your plate is cooking? If you do go there.
