To find this hidden gem, I'd recommend parking at Burger King and going down the back stairs towards the river trail. Keena, the owner, is super nice and helpful. She carries a wonderful assortment, from classics to the occult, and will keep an eye out for anything she doesn't have -if requested. Books fill the walls from top to bottom with a beautiful array of jewelry, stickers, and local art nestled in between. Be warned though, I went in just out of curiosity and came out an hour later with a MUCH longer "to be read" list. My girlfriend and I felt completely welcomed there and we really enjoyed meeting Keena. I can't wait for the summer as she hosts fun and unique events then. This cozy shop is a book lovers paradise.

A unique gem! The location is fit for its name, a really cute bookstore with lots of interesting finds. Patches, stickers, rings, candles, and more. Love that the owner has a whole selection on her recommendations which is always fun.

You can tell they care about books at this place and the owner was very knowledgeable, and I loved the movable book ladder like they had at Old libraries. Walked past it many times and wanted to go inside during business hours so I came back, the garden outside is really amazing and open 24/7.

An adorable, little book shop tucked away off the Animas River. Easily stumbled across while walking or biking the river trail. Pleasant owners/ shopkeepers. Eclectic selection of books and knick nacks available.📚 📖 Really fun sun glasses and beautiful glass work pieces available, as well. We stop everytime we go through town. Great prices on books! Enjoy their little reading garden and let your furry friend grab a drink of water. 🐕 💧

Keena, the book shop proprietor and lead book monger, uses her insight and wisdom to match special books with her customers. I walked out of her cute and tiny bookstore with three books of my own and lifetime of reading suggestions. Thank you Keena, for your hospitality and book (life) guidance.

It's such a charming place. I love the selection. I found a nice stack of books to buy. I mean, I picked them myself . I walked them to the check out myself. I was asked to tip at check out. Tip for what? I am an excellent tipper when a tip is called for. I'm not sure why a bookstore asks for tips. I clicked the 10% button because I felt pressured to tip something. You got my 10%, but I won't ever go back. Just because an app prompts for tips doesn't mean you have the type of business that should ask for tips. I mean, the sales clerk never even got off of his chair. What was I typing him for? Luckily there are a lot of books stores in this town.Edit; reply to owner. I really hadn't thought of the tip as helping with the running costs of a small business. Nothing was said to me, so I assumed I was tipping the man who checked me out. I was flustered when asked to tip, so I clicked and got annoyed with myself. I'd decided if I went back, I'd take cash. I left the review because I wondered how many other people felt the same, and maybe you would want to know. You have a lovely store

This is definitely one of the most interesting bookstores I've visited. What an amazing place in a small space. Great selection, great sense of humor sprinkled throughout, and interesting curiosities in addition to excellent books. It is very clear the owner of this shop cares deeply about books and has a flair for the unusual. I'll follow the White Rabbit to this warren any day!

Absolutely stunning shop. I was recommended by a friend and ended up going on a whim. The owner was so kind and sweet to chat with, and very informative. She sells drinks and ice cream as well as books. Her husband's glass work was also for sale. Such a great experience!

Happened upon White Rabbit today and what a treasure. Great music and offers of hot chocolate set the vibes. You can tell great care went into curating the store. After nice conversation I left with three books I didn't know I wanted. Well done!

I really wanted to go here. I really, really wanted to go here. But Google Maps kept sending me in circles and trying to send me left when there was clearly a "no left turn" sign. It was like we had gone down our own personal rabbit hole of never getting there. So sad. It sounds like such a cool place.

Love this place! I intentionally take my walks near this place so I can pop in and browse titles. I've found some sweet treasures. This is a beautiful, unique bookstore. Small space, but excellent atmosphere.

What a fun little book store. The owner has curated a cute unique little stop along the river. Her husband blows glass oddities, and they have a great collection of old books to check out. If you are visiting Durango I would definitely recommend stopping by, you are sure to find a fun souvenir. Take a picture in their little garden, leave a rock and then walk down the river after you are done!

One of my favorite places in Durango! It’s a must stop. Take a stroll on the river walk and pop in, or sit in the rock garden that overlooks the Animas River. This place is a gem.
