This market is my absolute go-to for vitamins. The staff is always helpful and I get great recommendations/suggestions. They have a file cabinet full of resources on any possible vitamin item you can think of, with paper copies you can take home. Love Natural Grocers!

100% organic produce with a nice sized selection plus all types of grocery items: frozen, dairy, chicken, steak, fantastic eggs, excellent chocolates, a bulk section with nuts, dried fruit, spices, oatmeal, etc., plus household items, paper plates, detergents, etc., toothpaste, personal items, books, unique greeting cards, a large health and beauty section, not to mention a large supplement section with about every supplement on the planet.

Great place. They have the makeup that I ware everyday. I love it it's the eyeshadow and the concealer that work the best. Definitely worth trying.

I came to Natural Grocers for a clean solution and Ian helped me immensely. I feel lucky to have a store like this in town where the people are kind and knowledgeable. The produce is also the best in town.

Overrun with homeless. They camp in the parking lot, follow into store asking for money, destroy the bathrooms, come up to my car and steal.

I want to give the store inside and it's staff 5 stars. I love the store products and the employees are friendly and helpful. However, if you drive a large vehicle be sure to arrive EARLY. It's the only time I'll go. Also the homeless in the parking lot is a huge issue and they can be aggressive and scare me. I won't bring my 1yo son with me when I shop here.

Friendly staff, clean store, and usually I can find what I am looking for. They have plenty of shampoos, soaps, and cosmetics for people with sensitive skin like me. I love Natural Grocers!

Absolutely Love this place. Everyone here is super friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. I travel back from LA every other month just to get my supplements as the so call Nutritional Stores in CA don't quite measure up to this place. It my be small but they sure do have way more natural supplements and organic body care. I haven't asked about the possibility of getting stuff shipped to me, then again it gives me an excuse to come back to the four corners for the amazing views and family & friends.

Prices are high as you would suspect. Every customer or employee seems to know that they are in better health and can out spend you for some gross herbal concoction. Don't forget to tip the homeless that are ALWAYS on the sidewalk exit. Parking isn't great.

I live in Seattle WA (an 18 hour car ride) and have never been to this store!HOWEVER, the employees are top notch when they answer the phone and help a non customer find fresh CELERY JUICE!! Even though it wasn't at their store Sabrina and Ian gave me turn by turn directions to another store that could help.And though I didn't get to shop there, my friend who WAS in Durango did and was able to pick up exactly what he needed!I WOULD DRIVE 18 HOURS JUST TO SHOP HERE!Thank you Sabrina and Ian! Absolute Gems!!😁

I love their bulk section. They also have a variety of local products (we bought a local tempeh) and it was amazing. Big selection of vegan/organic products. The vegetables were very freshThe prices are pretty good too.

All the usual things I love at NGs they have.I have visited many of the locations in several states. 98% are great.BUT- This Parking lot is really rather small and awkward to navigate in a car and on foot at times.I'm used to seeing parking lots at other locations that are at least twice as big. I love to camp and if the parking lot is too amall for my camper, it's extra steps on my part..literally.The lines in the parking lot also desperately need to be painted up again, I have trouble seeing several of them when I visit.Like so many locations, this one comes with panhandlers regularly hanging out in the parking lot and beside the ONE exit. Caveat emptor

I found a few good deals there like Elderberry lozenges and an Elderberry honey drink. I bought organic ground turkey and grass fed beef to make a meatloaf with and it turned out great! I couldn't find many canned vegetables, though. I was looking for early/young peas. Not many canned veggies but several cans of beans. The Wolfgang Puck soup was expensive but I decided to try it anyway and was disappointed. It only made one small bowl. $2.85 for a tiny bowl. The cashier was nice. The cart attendant was extremely sweet and helpful.

Amazing team all committed to our health choice and needs when groceries shopping. Yeah i had more than enough help with my questions. I highly recommend you test their knowledge, if anything there is someone always available to better assist and answers all your health needs.

I could get lost in this store :) except the staff is too helpful for anyone to realy feel lost. I stumbled upon this store while in the area to see the national park and I needed some supplements. They have a huge supplements section. I found what I was looking for easily and was asked if had any questions. They have a good selection and fair prices. I went back the next day for groceries and again found the staff to be friendly and helpful. I found some good deals and a nice selection in that department too.

I like the food and staff but my only complaint is in the cat department. Out cats food was suddenly removed from the shelves weeks ago and pets don't enjoy having their diet switched like that, we tried new food that he likes and now I see a couple bags of the old food we used to get back on the shelf. Also there is never cat litter besides the $20 "biodegradable" litter. Consistency is nice, especially when people care about their pets.

Lots of items that you can't find anywhere else around here. Super friendly and courteous employees. The parking is a bit rough, it would be nice if the lot were a little bigger. It doesn't keep me from shopping here though, it's worth a little wrangling for a parking space to be able to get the products Natural Grocers offers. 👍

Natural Grocers as a chain does have a lot of integrity in the products they carry, which is more than you can say for most stores. But they are pricey, and their rewards system for members only is kind of a joke. They email you offers and coupons now and then, but it's not very often for products I'd buy. I only shop here for items I can't get anywhere else, like quality vitamins and personal care stuff. The parking situation at this location is absolutely horrible, and there has been more than once that I've wanted to get something from there, and turned away because there was absolutely nowhere to park, or you had to fight other cars for parking spots. The best time to go there is at night or close to closing time, since you can actually find a parking spot, and it isn't crowded with your typical Durango earth snugglers.

This is a relatively small store and access into and out of it is a challenge! Parking is very limited and during busy hours the parking lot fills up. Visit off hours if possible. Also be aware there is major construction next door and sometimes this interferes with accessing the store. The store clerks are friendly and very helpful! The location is very convenient for tourists and within walking distance of the major motels and downtown area. I buy a specific supplement there and find the pricing a bit lower compared with the other major health food store in Durango.

There names are Elisabeth and Galen. If you run into them they will do what they can to help you out.

I used to love natural grocers. Sadly, they've lost my business forever. The way they treat people with disabilities is awful. And the owners need to educate their staff, especially the staff in the Durango store on what it means to be a public accommodation under the laws that govern discrimination against those with disabilities. Privately owned companies who are open to the public are places of public accommodation. If you want to discriminates and enforce tyrannical policies in your stores don't try to pretend you're doing it legally when you know what you're doing is against the law.

Good selection and very reasonably priced organic produce. Otherwise, very limited selection of healthy foods at a highly inflated price. I honestly don’t know why anyone would pay these prices when you can get the same or similar items at Wal-Mart & City Market for much less. Supplements, oils, bath & body, non perishables, etc can be purchased online (iherb, vitacost) w free shipping for a fraction of their price...it’s almost insulting.The reason I am rating them at all is because I paid $6 for a small packet of lunch meat (non-organic) and then saw the same item at City Market for $3 so bought several there & returned the lunch meat to Natural Grocers.The cashier who’s line I graced instantly acted annoyed when I presented my return and before I could even speak or explain he turned from me and questioned his co-worker loudly across a store full of people “do we even take THIS back?” ... after some discussion & an aloud reading of the return policy by his neighboring cashier he finally turned back to me with a twisted face and I told him that my dog was in the car, that I needed to get on my way.He pushed a pen and form at me, not making any eye contact or giving any instructions. I filled it out and watched as he slowly fiddled with the register, asked his co-worker for a merchandise card, eventually tried 2 merchandise cards & finally was brought one by a co-worker that worked. After about 5min of that he finally turned to me, finally acknowledged my presence and handed the card to me, saying nothing. I smiled & said “thank you” and after I’d already began to walk away he snapped “enjoy your day” ... yuck!
