Great place! They have a wide variety of items at very good prices. From small nails to bulbs, wire, custom paint, tarps, tools, wind chimes, soil, plants, toys, seasonal gifts and items, snacks, lotion, and free popcorn. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Service dogs ( and pets ) allowed- just keep your animals under control . Easy parking. Easy access.Support local. This is definitely a bright spot in Durango!

A second after walking into the store and asking for help, one of the staff, Brande, said, “I know right where that is, let me help you find it.”Now you might say that’s what you should hear at every store, but you don’t anymore. I had already stopped in at three other “big box” stores, and they didn’t even carry them. And that’s what made Kroegers Ace Hardware so good. Good people. Good products. Thank you.

They have a great selection of very specific things you can't find at Home Depot. Lots of bird seed and feeders, supplies for Ego electric chainsaws, etc. Plus puzzles, gifts, bbq sauce .. like a little general store.

I Love this place!! It is walking distance from my house and is staffed by people who ACTUALLY know what is in the store! (Home Depot...take note!!) The staff goes our of their way to make sure that service is excellent. I had a 15 minute conversation with a gentleman in the paint department who convinced me that "Darling" was the PERFECT hot pink paint color to replace boring old white on my outdoor furniture! And...don't you know it...it WAS!!! Nice folks...great service...support YOUR local hardware store!

I love this place. I'm there everyday. Staff is amazing and take lots of ownership. However, I had to return 2 items in the past 2 years....they take it very personal...as if your trying to get one over on them. I'll do better at keeping my paper trail...in the mean time, please be more pleasant when people return items. Bur I'll be back! I love this place! Lol.

Had a bad experience a few years ago with a purchase but my recent experience their completely trumps everything that happened prior. However, a recent disaster with a much bigger ticket item (Snowblower) - basically my rear window was shattered during loading. The management took ownership, got their insurance team to help with getting the glass replaced and did so without any cost to me. In this day and age, owning mistakes is becoming all too rare. Ace Hardware earned a ton of my loyalty by doing right on this mishap.

A go-to place for so many items! The staff members are always very helpful and friendly. In the past, we've gone to Home Depot looking for a plumbing item and were told that they didn't have the part, to try Ace Hardware and yes, Ace Hardware had the item! Highly recommend Ace Hardware.

I’ve always thought Durango is lucky to have such a great local store. But I had to write a review after our experience today. My teenager had to come up with 4 secret Santa gifts with themes based on quotes from the HS play. As usual an employee asked if they could help us find anything (no other store does that). I showed her the list of quotes and she got other employees involved. We could hear them all talking through ideas as they scoured the store to find items to fit these weird themes. I ended up counting 9 employees invested in helping us find the perfect theme gifts. And they came up with great ones! My teen loved it and said it’s a memory she’ll never forget.

I had three people ask me if I needed help while in the store. I had a wonderful chat with one about shovels. This store has everything except groceries. They have a great greeting card section with gift wrap and bows. The employees are always friendly and helpful. I have shopped here for 15 years.
