The gentleman at the front desk was very polite and helpful. Master is my dog he loved the room with the smells. I did smell the stench of cigarettes. I didn't complain, I took care of it. I used my own towels. I used their towels to clean the air conditioner filter. I SPRAYED air freshener repeatedly. I would stay there again. Because the gentleman was kind and polite. That means a lot to me. God bless the owner and his family... As far as the complaining customers , you paid for a Motel, Not a Hotel!

For being in a small town with not many visitors and the only motel around, I am surprisingly pleased with the rooms. We have stayed 2 times so far and will stay again in the future. The owner is very nice and his staff are friendly as well. The rooms are typical motel rooms but clean enough for that area. Bathrooms a bit small but work just fine. Water pressure and warm water works great. For the price, it is perfect! We did have to wait for the owner to come back and check us in because we arrived after the time he leaves. But he only lives around the corner.

We stopped here before crossing over into Utah a pond arrival when we went to check in the lady seemed frustrated that we walked in whatever fine ( we stay in 1000s of hotel/motel/ inns a year so ppl usually hate their job and we brushed it off) Once we got into the room there was 2 signs posted about no drug use inside rooms and threaten a huge fine and arrest if caught. Completely understandable for harder drug but it also talked about marijuana which is legal in Colorado. So if your 420 friendly this is not the place to stay. We've stay in tons of hotels in Colorado and never saw anything to this nature. Other than that it's a good place to rest for the night. Ppl in the town didn't seem friendly either but it is what it is.Noteworthy details: NOT 420 FRIENDLY

The rooms are very clean. While a little on the outdated side the colors are restful. Towels were plentiful and soft and snuggly. There was no tub but with how things are it wasn't a deal breaker. I especially enjoyed the low charge for my puppy Poppy. Looking forward to Continental breakfast in the morning

We rented 2 rooms, one for my husband and me, one for our teen son. Our room smelled like a kennel. The smell of urine was the first thing that hit us when we walked in. The TV didn't work. The decor was old and shabby and the air conditioner looked like a relic from the 70s. As soon as we got here, we wished we'd opted for the motel 6 in Cortez. Oh, and we paid a ridiculous $167 for the 2 rooms. Total rip-off. You've been warned.

The beds and bathroom were antiquated but clean. The air conditioner was very old it was not properly sealed allowing mosquitos in and somewhere in the night just blew warm dusty air in. The locks on the doors looked like regular household locks that provide no security especially for two women traveling. Someone drew a happy face in the dust filled screen window. I left with clogged sinuses. The staff was friendly.

We have only just arrived here and all I can say is WOW. This motel is such a pleasant experience compared to others on our journey. This motel is pet friendly, super cheap, showers and toilets are beautifully cleaned, they give you four towels/hand towels/rags (instead of the typical 2), and the room is small, but very comfortable! The staff are also very kind. It is going to be an absolute pleasure to stay here.

Booking online was kind of tricky, but I'm not even going to count that against them. Look, if you're looking for fancy, you're not going to get it in tiny town Colorado. This place was just what we needed, nothing more, nothing less. The rooms were clean, the shower worked great, and we slept comfortably. Also, the price per night was way better than anything nearby.

Got lost on our from Texas to Port Angeles and a friendly cashier from store across the hotel suggested we stay here. The next 10 miles from here is heavy deer traffic and having hit a deer in Texas didn’t want to chance it... The clerk at hotel was extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms are nice and clean. The hotel decor is quaint and homey.. Good phone and cable reception.. Air conditioner is good and cold.. I would stay here again no problem and the price was extremely reasonable..

Came upon this quaint hotel and decided to give it a try. The owner was extremely nice and treated me very well. I rolled in with a stock trailer with 2 donkeys and a pony along with 3 small dogs and my cats. I am moving back to Washington State after living in Florida for 2 1/2 years so the whole gang was with me. They were pet friendly and he didn't hesitate when he saw my gang. The rooms were clean, large, and set up nice. I was in the one with a kitchenette, it was very nice. Bed was very comfy too! I highly recommend this family owned hotel.

Please hit like on Facebook and Instagram at SNDTRAVELS and EATWELLTRAVELOFTENNice clean motel. Yes it's dated but you can tell it gets regular updates. Microwave and fridge. Based on price, thus would get 5 stars except for the following. Here's the bad part. No hairdryer in the room or available from the front desk. This alone keeps me from being able to come back because of my wife's hair. There should be at least a couple available to sign out from the front desk. That's too cheap an addition to loose repeat business over. The shower is just barely doable with the water pressure. A good shower head would solve that.If these issues don't bother you then we recommend staying here.

My wife and I loved this place. The man that owns it is so sweet. He had breakfast ready for us, he made sure we were well taken care of. He even helped us back out our long Penske truck. The place was so cozy, homey, and warm. It had very thick carpet, nice big towels, comfy beds, it even had a list of churches around the town in a book and places to eat. My wife and I are 28 and we would rather go here than any fancy hotel. We felt so safe and loved. Please get to know this man, he is so wonderful. He loves our dogs and even gave them breakfast. I forgot to mention it’s smoke free!

We had just come from a breckenridge, CO. We stayed in a 2.5m dollar (valued) airbnb, where the beds were uncomfortable and we had very little hot water and no water pressure. At the end of our budget, we chose the Country Inn Motel for 65.00 a night. It was worth every penny. The grounds were clutter free, the outside was painted nice, they kept beautiful flower beds at every entrance, the service was tremendously kind, and they offered THE softest towels. We felt at home here and really enjoyed the breakfast option of coffee and pastries. The night manager was the reason we gave this rating a fifth star. He was so thoughtful to arrange a room away from the street "because you have children." A true effort and one for the books. Thank you for your kindness.

Excellent little spot to pull over and rest. Rooms were adequate and clean. No having to pay for frills or extra commodities such as pool, gym, etc, and Great if you have pets. We needed special handling and treatment and received it without a problem. Friendly staff, close walking distance to a Family Dollar and convenient store/gas station for needed food or supplies. Definitely a good option if you can't afford to stay in Moab. A little distant drive away, but definitely doable and worth it for the money saved. Will be staying here again!

I can’t say enough how much I appreciate this place! I got stuck in a snow storm on the way to Idaho from Texas with my dog and we came late to find a room. The lady at the front desk quickly got me settled at a very reasonable price. Room was quaint, cute and clean. In the morning, my car was full of snow and she came out to hold my dog while I got it off with a tool she lent me. The owner then came and scraped the ice off as we made small talk. If you’re ever on the road, stop here for an amazing an genuine experience! I will be back if I come this way again.

Cannot say enough about this charming stop. John, the owner, I learned has owned it for 30 years. I have made this my permanent stop in my way to and from visiting my daughter in New Mexico. Clean, accommodating, affordable. I can’t imagine not supporting such a great place! Feels like stepping back in time to when people truly cared about their guests!

Great stopover in my way from Mesa Verde to Monument Valley. The room was very nice, hot water and room heating were perfect. The owner (?) is very kind and helpful. In the morning you can have free coffee and the room has microwave, fridge and LCD TV. Very quiet in the night. Being able to park right in front of room was of great help.

We pulled over and stayed at this hotel after a long and difficult trek through a colorado snow storm. The owner was manning the desk and had a room for us at a great rate, and he was very polite and courteous. The rooms were a bit outdated, but the beds were warm and comfy. In the morning when we went to leave, the snow had piled high, but the hotel owner had dug out our car and even scraped the frost off our windows. He helped push us out of the snow on the street. I definitely recommend this hotel, if for no other reason that the generosity and care of the hotel owner.

Stayed overnight when the local temps hit 94 and my dogs and I wanted a place to cool off and have a comfortable night. I was surprised that the room had a small refrigerator and microwave. Contained 2 beds (queen size I think), the beds were comfortable and had HBO and Wi-Fi. The owner was accommodating and very pet friendly. We had a lovely, cool evening and I would certainly go back if the temps in town warrant it.
