The store is in disarray. There is shipped merchandise sitting all over the sales floor and shopping carts are being used for employees to put away product instead of being used for customers. The animals are not being cared for as needed. There were multiple animal habitats that had zero water for the animals and/or were unclean. Be cautious buying animals from this store until Petco cleans up their selfish act. Unclean conditions lead to disease and an inevitable death. Even habitats that had animals that require moist environments were as dry as a bone. It was evident that whoever the animal manager and general manager is shows that the animals are not the first priority and the only care at this store is to find out how quick they can clock out for the day. I feel sorry for these animals and hope Petco will start to show the proper care these animals deserve.

Their fish are very poorly taken care of. I have talked to them about it before and talked to the manager. They promised improvements but I haven’t seen them. I’ll let the photos speak for themselves. I think they are forgetting that these are living creatures….

I enjoy coming to this Petco to get my pet supplies and needs.The staff there has been nothing but helpful, informative, and has provided great customer service as i am in the service industry myself. It is nice, as well as refreshing, receiving friendly customer service.Their are a few names that I feel like deserve some recognition.Anthony, the GM there has been nothing short of amazing. He has been very helpful, very attentive, and has provided great customer service even when I have shown frustration. Even then, he still shows kindness and will find a solution.So thank you, Anthony, keep up the good work!Some other employees there have also shown that they care to he there, and have provided great service as well.I'd like to again thank Anthony, Baylor, Tracy, and kathy, and im sure their are a few others that I've missed.Thank you to the whole staff there, for providing goods and supplies for our animals up here in the mountains.I thank you for your hard work and dedication!

Christie, Bri, Brad & Ethen, what a team! So helpful and friendly. Bri did a excellent job grooming my baby. I paid for the VIP treatment and she was done in less than an hour. She did a excellent job!If you are going to make them wear mask, buy them so they can breath!I WOULD RECOMMEND

Store manager and everyone there is absolutely amazing. Very nice, very helpful and my favorite store for my doggo. Also the grooming department is hands down the best, my dog hate baths/grooming and he loves it there!

I use this PetCo a lot. I've been taking my dog here for grooming for a little over a year and he absolutely loves Sierra! The staff there are friendly and knowledgable for pet products. It's always a nice experience.

I cannot quite remember the staff member's name who was my cashier-- her name began with an M. I thinking? around 2p MT today). She was beyond amazing. I broke down crying as I was purchasing-- apologizing for the amount of items but that I was desperate to find the "yum" for my dear sweet Charleston as he is declining with eating. Cancer is sounding it's cruel horn; Charleston will be leaving us soon. But thank you so very much, M. I am so terribly sorry that I do not remember your name, but your offered hug meant the absolute world. I feel alone but you helped me remember that I am not. He is finicky with what I brought but he did lick up a few things 💜 Thank you so much!

They have a very poor selection of tropical fish.What they do have is overpriced. The store needs to be updated.It's kind of run down.

I was in this store 8/26/2023 to return something that was purchased as a present for me. Despite policy changes, the staff and manager were able to assist me in my return and were professional and pleasant while doing so. They went above and beyond to help me with this particular item and I am extremely thankful.It would behoove anyone visiting this store to remember that currently finding employees is extremely difficult. Many businesses are short staffed and struggling to maintain their business at the level it was when fully staffed. This is especially true in Colorado's small tourist towns. Finding enough employees that can work year round and are able to find housing to stay in the area is extremely hard right now. Does that mean sometimes stores will be a little messy, with stock waiting to be shelved, and less employees available to answer questions? Yes. Please show our local businesses some grace. Everyone is doing their absolute best. We should all try to be a little more supportive of the businesses that serve our communities.

Tips: grooming, even though it says on website if you just want a dogs nails trimmed you can only do it as a walk in; nope, you need to schedule it. After 10+ phone calls to both the groomers and front desk, no one answers calls. I was told, You must leave a voicemail. If they call back and miss you, you need to call them again and leave another voicemail until they catch you. I suggest just driving there and schedule in person. A bit frustrating and spent way more time than expected. Seems like nice staff.

Clean store. Animal cages usually are pretty clean. Great variety of calming products for your dogo and my fur baby is obsessed with those Kong tiny squeaky balls! Got some great clearance items as well! Tracy is the best! They are super friendly and cheery, 10/10 customer service.

The Petco in Dillon is small but well stocked.... most of the time. I am usually able to find what I need here without having to drive to Denver. From where I live it is equidistant to Denver or Dillon, the drive is nice to Dillon... can't stand going to Denver anymore.

Avoid this store at all costs. It was the worst experience I've ever had at a pet store. The response and service from customer service national was equally as disappointing. Please go to Walmart ,Target or anywhere else. Petco is overpriced for the cheap China merchandise they sell .

Went in to grab some fish for the kids expected to get a 10 gallon and some live plants … I ended up spending 3 times what I thought I would and signed up for a membership. However, I did feel like Matt one of the employees was very educated, experienced and looking out for the fish overall .. although some fish were dead in their tanks, I can imagine with a low staff store that getting everything done would be very hard. It seems they do take precautions to quarantine fish. Although I have had 3 out of 8 fish die I have returned in for a few things the membership ended up paying for itself I would much rather make the 45 minute trip here and will be in to upgrade the tank soon because I’m really enjoying the new hobby (and the kids love the fish too)

Been using the same 2 old litter pails to refill litter for 5 years at this location. Curly haired gentleman with backward ballcap starts yelling at me 10 feet away as nice gal is calling me to register and very rudely tells me I'm not allowed to refill anything that's not retail bucket. There are nicer ways to address people. If it's anew policy say that and be friendly. Always had very friendly service here in all the years I have been coming here. I'll just go to Walmart in the future. Kathy and Tracy would have never spoke to me like that

I go every month to have my dogs nails trimmed because my little heart just can't take the tears.. I am so grateful to have a place that cares so much for the animals they groom. They remember us when we walk in and let me know if they find anything concerning during the appointment. The entire staff is so helpful and nice! They should all get a raise because I know they don't get paid enough for the job they do in the community where we live.

They had numerous dog food items as “on sale” across their shelves. Upon checkout, it wasn’t valid, had expired a week ago, yet they still had the signs up. They didn’t honor the sale price. Bathrooms were also some of the filthiest I’ve ever seen for a restroom at a retailer. They need to do better.

Tracy was very busy but took extra time and went out of her way to help me. Im visiting with my service animal and had a unique predicament. I was stressed out and frazzled. It was awful if I could give this person a zero star I would. My dog has always had his big long hairy ears. I showed the gal a picture of shorter ears and she explained to Me that for that hair cut she would have to cut his ears short. And I said in that case please don't touch his ears. I came to pick up my little fur baby after a couple hours and his long hairy ears were gone. I would not return this this petco in Dillon Colorado

There is no place this little one loves more than Petco! He gets spoiled by Delaine, Josh, Tendra and TJ, his puppy teacher. He loves to be there, you can tell how much they love animals and that makes you feel great when you walk in with your little buddy. They have a really good variety of toys and treats for doggies.

Good products, but staff rarely look you in face, let alone smile or thank you for spending your money with them. If it weren't the nearest pet store to us (1.5 hours away), we'd choose another store.
