Lots of missed spots on my 1 year old puppy. Paid 119$ for barely a trim and a bath. Staff was rude. The check in girl checked us in last and was helping others who arrived after us first. Lots of crying upset dogs in the back. If you can’t preform the full service, why charge the full amount? The groomer said my dog was wiggly which I believe but definitely could have done a lot better at the trim. My pup is also very itchy and lethargic since coming home and was foaming at the mouth. Definitely not worth going back. I would like a response from the owner

My first time here. Picked my dog up and she was very clean and soft! However when I initially called and told the staff she was dog aggressive I asked about the arrangements for reactive dogs and they said “they only work on one dog at a time” which led me to believe she would not be surrounded by dogs during the process (super stressful for her). When I picked her up they said she was pretty stressed out most the time. I looked back in the room where they groom dogs and it’s FULL of dogs. My dog is exhausted after being stressed out here the whole time. I was not aware these were the arrangements. As we were leaving they didn’t even give us any space and had another dog on our heels walking out the door. Overall just not a great place for stressed out dogs and DEFINITELY Not good for reactive dogs. I will not be returning.

I brought my 4-month-old miniature schnauzer, Max, for his first grooming. My expectations were that Max would be too nervous and much wouldn't be done. When I met the groomer, Brie, she echoed my feelings. She said she would do as much as she could. She would call me and let me know how things were going. When I got her call, I thought she was calling to tell me that Max was too difficult to handle. Instead, she said Max was doing well and she was able to finish the job. I was delighted with her ability to handle the situation and finish the job.

My first experience here was ok, aside from a scratch on my dog's belly. But I just assumed it was an accident and that things happen. However, my dog started shaking uncontrollably every time he enters the groomers now. He has never done that until after his first visit here. And this past time I was told that he was too "stressed out" for them to continue. It took asking the groomer 6 times (at least) what she meant by that, for her to finally say anything other than "stressed out" over and over. I, of course, read the reviews and it all makes sense now. They are very rough with the animals here. The yelps I've heard when I stopped by to buy him treats make sense now too. He has arthritis and a bad shoulder (he is almost 15). Something I explained to them. Several times. And based on a few reviews, they pull their legs to groom/dry them and are generally rough with your animal. I'd be stressed out too. He came home wet (3.5 hours later) with blood all over his neck. There was a puncture wound there. Probably result of being so stressed out, right?Luckily I was able to get him groomed elsewhere without any issues. It's odd how he wasn't "stressed out" then or showed any signs of anxiety. You are right, you're not a good fit for my dog! People, read the reviews and trust the low star reviews. They hand out coupons to people who post 5 ⭐ reviews!

The prices and selection here have never been great but I am a local and it is three blocks away. However $100 for grooming is something I haven't paid and I've been coming here for years. It is objectively simply too much to charge to groom a small dog who doesn't even need a haircut or a blow dry

They always take great care of my 14-year-old puppy. She hates the groomer and makes that known (vocally) but they are always sympathetic and make me feel like they are reassuring her the whole time. She comes back looking amazing!Update: we let them know baby has dementia and gets confused sometimes, so instead of putting her in a crate until we got there, they just held her in their arms!! Absolutely the best!! ♥️

I specifically mentioned my dog is dog aggressive on the phone when I made my appointment, and then they turned me away after I showed up because they did not schedule him as an aggressive dog. The man I spoke to on the phone was also rude when I asked about safety measures being taken because of the canine cough going around, turning it around on me asking if my dog was healthy. The level of customer service was really unsatisfactory after we’ve been clients for years at the Wash Park location, which is much more accommodating, and they make me feel a lot more like my dog will be in good hands than this place did for the five minutes I was at the uptown location.

I have gotten my chocolate labs nails trimmed here multiple times, the first few times were great, but today the woman who was working was incredibly rude to both myself and to my dog. I could see her through the window pulling on my dog’s leg to get her in a certain position while filing her nails and telling her loudly enough for me to hear from outside, “no, stop!” whenever she moved. Remi does well with getting her nails done typically so I have no idea what the problem was. She has hip dysplasia and the way this woman was moving her back legs was not appropriate or safe for my dog’s joints. I’m not typically one to write a bad review but this was a wild experience and I hope to help other pet parents avoid the same situation!

i don’t think i’ll come back. it took a really long time and when i called for the estimate time they said my dog was ready and when i walked in she was sitting in a kennel and i asked them to call me 20 min before she was done so she wouldn’t b in a kennel. they are kinda rude and acted weird ab me asking for time. a lot of dogs in there at one time. i have a small yorkie and it took almost 3 hours and i know she was just sitting there w no water.

I take my long hairs cat in for a lion cut every 3 months. They are WONDERFUL with the handling of the cat as well as the cut itself. The staff have always been courteous and accommodating. It’s a little pricey but I feel I get what I pay for

Brought my cat in for a lions cut back in October. It was her first hair cut and she is 10 years old. The cut was cute. However when i picked up my cat the guy that cashed me out could've said things in a better way when explaining their card first policy. They accepted my appointment without doing the deposit over the phone as an exception. I had spoke with a lady prior and she was nice about it. The guy brung it up and repeated that is a one time policy in an off-putting way and that i need to update my cats records. Even though i initially told them its outdated by a year. Like why say anything about that again after i already know? Wierd, and I will not be back. Which sucks because it's super close to my home.

My cat doesn't like when I try to trim his claws, and gets horribly carsick on even a 5 minute car ride to the vet's office. I decided to bring him to Urban Dogg Uptown this week for a walk in nail trim, as it's a short walk from where I live. He was immediately taken back and had his claws done in a timely and safe manner. The groomer took care of him, and knew their way around handling him. Definitely will bring my cat back here for future trims.

My dogs and I all had a great experience with Urban Dogg at Wash park. Grooming was done by Nic, pups look great and tails were wagging when I picked them up! Everyone that works there couldn’t be nicer! I highly recommend Urban Dogg!

Chrystal does such a great job with my puppy. Can to Urban Dogg after taking my pup to another grooming place and they told me my puppy wouldn’t settles down for a full groom. So I called Urban Dogg and explained my situation and they matched me with Chrystal and my puppy has never looked so good! My Chibi actually loves seeing his groomer! My kids and I also love the cute Handkerchief’s they always put on her afterwards! Yesterdays was Easter themed! 🐣🥚🐰

I have been taking my dogs here for 3 years now and they have exceeded my expectations! I used to take my dogs to Petsmart groomers and my dogs would look terrified every time I went to drop them off, I would them yelping and crying and it terrified me. I started bring them here, and honestly the groomers are always so excited to see my dogs and are so detail-oriented. They take thorough notes on what I like so they know exactly how to trim their hair every time I come in! Incredible place and I HIGHLY recommend especially if you have anxious puppers!

Anna is by far the best groomer I’ve encountered here here in Colorado. I moved here from KCMO & had trouble finding a groomer who dealt with dogs who had “groomer aggression” & she fully amazed me, now I am taking my new puppy to her! No cut is ever “too hard” & it always is to my liking! Definitely reccomend her & Urban Dog themselves, thanks for keeping my furry friends beautiful!

Pros: free on street parking, easy access for Uptown clients, fast booking I can usually get an appointment in 1-3 days.Cons: prices are not posted, you have to ask, it's a little on the pricey side; because of the volume, your dog may sit in a kennel for a while.Since Covid I have been grooming my dog at home but she needed a professional cleanup. I called and got an appointment the next day. A small dog grooming appointment went from $65 to $69 since my last visit and they are currently charging an additional "$10 recovery fee" until Sept 20, 2020 to help recoup lost revenue. Overall it was a good experience and I paid $93 with an 18% tip to the groomer Shawn.

Excellent customer service! Time and cost effective. My dog smells amazing, his coat feels softer, and his nails are well trimmed. William treated him so kindly. I can tell because when we got home he was happy and playful (been a rescue with history of abuse he dislikes anyone brushing his coat or touching his paws.)🐾 I’ll definitely be back!

I was able to get an appointment next day for my mini Sheepadoodle pup (she’s 1.5 years) and the team was AMAZING!The welcome was genuine, the cut was exactly what I asked for and my pup was so happy! The staff were even playing with her when I walked in. They also finished her groom in about 1 hour 20 mins.It’s the best groom experience I’ve ever had with a dog.Will definitely be back!!

We love taking Wilbur and Willow to Urban Dogg Uptown. They come back from their baths and trims all fluffy and sweet. WDU does a great job clipping nails and it's clear that both dogs love visiting their friends there. Highly recommended!

We were passing through town from a hiking trip with our dog and really needed a professional bathing and grooming, and we were grateful these folks got us on the schedule even with our tight timeline.They were super communicative and helpful, and treated our puppy—who is pretty skittish around strangers and did not have much experience with grooming—with gentleness and care. Not to mention they were super thorough in washing and drying our pup's thick fur, and returned him fluffier than ever.We will absolutely be back the next time we are in town!
