Terrible treatment of the pets at this location. Dirty water dishes for the small mammals, and there was a beta fish that we wish we could have taken home from the terrible treatment it was receiving at the store. There was a thick layer of grime floating on the top of the tank that had supposedly “just been set up and was getting filtered”. The fish was pressed into a corner to get any bit of oxygen from the small amount of water that was clear by the filter. We brought this concern up to the girls at the front and they had no care whatsoever. I truly hope their upper management acknowledges these concerns and does something for these sweet creatures before it’s too late for them.

They have a good inventory and are pretty nice people but this store sucks aquatic section is horrible. The fish look sick the Oscar fish are always skinny and I always see dead fish in the tanks as well as always being out of the fish they supposedly have. The fish I have bought have been a 50/50 definitely quarantine your fish

Went there for a grooming. Was greeted by the manager of the grooming salon, not my usual stylist. No biggie there. Was duped into up charges that I did not expect. I had previously taken my dog there with no problems so I happily signed away. Lo and behold, pick up was surprising. $135. Paid. Understanding every which way in and out of everything that was told and wasn’t told by the manager. She calls me back after I placed a formal complaint with corporate to say that she stated everything verbally to me. THAT WAS NOT THE CASE. She will not back down, I refuse to keep arguing with her. She states it’s unfair that I reported her co worker, which I did not. I reported the incident and was expecting a better response. Safe to say I will not be going back. To be treated like a liar, no thanks.

Really disappointed in the “grooming” service that we got today for our Labradoodle. We have brought our dog to petsmart for grooming for quite some time with no issues before-though at a different location. Kristina- Stylist #1199, was late, rolling into the store after we had pulled up and been waiting outside the store. As I was trying to explain what we wanted done she interrupted me and told me off the bat what she WOULDN’T be doing….then proceeded to complain about the husky waiting to check in outside that she would also be grooming. In the end, our dog ended up being shaved (asked for a level 5 cut with shorter teddy bear face and has no Matts or other conditions that would require shaving) and I’m not sure if she was even bathed, didn’t smell like soap or any other products that were included in the upgraded package. Our dogs body is shaved down to the skin so is now exposed to the sun-except for the tail and ears, which are ridiculously puffed out and look like they didn’t get trimmed at all. Her face is cut unevenly as well, as if half of her muzzle wasn’t event touched. Kristina also admitted on the phone to my husband that she had cut the top of her paw. Additionally and most importantly, our dog is so upset and shaken up, I’m not sure if they were honest about everything that happened in the appointment either with the groomer or other dogs there as well, or a combo of both since my husband and I each were told different things. Our dog has never come home and acted so skittish and uncomfortable after a grooming appointment at the other location. We will not be returning and I do not recommend this groomer for your dog. Spend a few extra bucks and take your beloved friend somewhere else. Kristina, Stylist #1199

I rented their bissell cleaner and when I returned it cleaner than it was given to me I was still charged a cleaning fee and lost my deposit on claims it was dirty on the bottom. It wasn't as I throughly scrubbed the machine and all parts before returning it, including the bottom. When I recieved it, it had brown fluid in the dirty tank that reaked of rotting animal. Will never be renting from petmart again.

I will never take my Bernese Mountain/Poddle mix again to the PetSmart, Central Park, Denver. I specifically said/wrote, "I do not want a Poddle cut." It looks like they literally shaved him. It will take months for him to grow out his hair. My husband is livid. I am not happy at all they did this to him.

Prefer the Aurora location off of Alameda far more. Plus this cashier tricked me into donating $10 for a bear... Look it is not the donation that matters, it's the way she pressured me and went around the cost when I asked. Again, go to the Aurora location

My daughter loves animals. We are trying to figure out what her first pet is going to be. She wants a 🐕, 🐱, 🐟, 🐹, 🐖, 🐰,🐥 etc.....😂 ..hints she wants to be a Vetinarian when she grows up.❤Anyhow this place was real cool for a first pet-search experience. She looked at plenty of options! We had fun searching & learning about the animals. It was a joy to see her get excited over what she loves....animals!😁We saw a variety, only thing was missing was the dogs. The employee said they'll have some(maybe) next week or so for Dog Day! 👌

Finding quality grooming for my pup can be so difficult as he’s pretty large and fluffy. Marilyn S. put a lot of care and love into her work to ensure my boy got to come happy and clean. She’s a total pro, so make sure to request her when you visit. If you have a fluffy dog, just be aware that not every appointment includes a hygienic trim, as only certified techs can do them. You’ll need to clarify with the team beforehand if that’s what you’re looking for.

Basically a waste of money. Somehow my dog came out less fluffy than she went in. My dog is literally still matted so I have to go home and take her matts out now. What am I even paying for at PetSmart grooming? I'm sure they're overworked like everything else in this dead "country"

Sara J the lead for the grooming department was extremely rude I will never step foot in this store and will tell my doggie day care and all they clients and blast them over social media she got mad at me because I had to be at work and the fire alarm went off and it was no fire I asked politely if they could put the dog in the back in the cage so I wouldn’t be late for work the lady got overly aggressive with me and told me to leave the store. SAVE YOUR MONEY the employees there are just as smart as McDonald employees DONT waste your time or money warning you now and on top of that they never got the haircut right only reason I was going there was cause of convenience this place is trash!

Pet smart grooming is starting to be just like Walgreens Pharmacy. Terrible. Staff over worked not personal. Shouldn’t really allow walk in services if you will be treated poorly. Was giving empathy for staff being overwhelmed. Was told “Nobody wants to do this job!” Not a place I want to take my dog with that attitude. Medical worker, “What if I said that to you as a patient I’m to care for?”

You would think that PetSmart could afford more workers, but every time I’m here I have too wonder if that’s the case.The one cashier, Rich, was nice and is the redeeming factor to this review. It basically seems like he is running the whole place by himself.Unfortunately, the product availability is not really there. Many shelves and spots among shelves and then them ended up not having anything we were looking for. The best part is that we checked the website before getting here, which said they had these items in stock.Rich, informed us that the inventory system is typically wrong.Pay a living wage. Get more workers. It’s that simple.

Our dogs are treated so well by Shavon and Leah. We used to go to a boutique groomer, but when they shut down we looked for neighborhood recommendations and saw the high ratings for Petsmart and have been pleased with their service, accessibility and professional staff.

Only because I couldn't leave half a star. Super unimpressed by Adie's attitude. We show up at 5:58 unaware of the holiday hours. The doors were already locked and Adie was standing at the door so I asked if they closed and she said yes for labor day, so I asked what time and she said 6 pm. I look at my watch and it's 6 pm on the nose and I say oh I'm sorry I just need to go grab a bag of food for my dog really quick and she says sorry I can't let you in. Really disappointed in her attitude and customer service. Now I gotta drive across town with a car full of groceries to pick up a bag somewhere else. Be better,

I just had to say Thank You to Lea the grooming salon manager! The pandemic has made everything so complicated. Our Lhasa Apso mix Ollie, was diagnosed with prostate cancer in the middle of the shelter in place order. This cancer makes going to the bathroom difficult for him. His coat was getting soiled daily and we wanted to make him as comfortable for his remaining days. We tried making an appointment to get him groomed as soon as it was cleared but somehow our appointment was canceled without an explanation. I called the grooming hotline and they were able to get me in contact with Lea the salon manager at the Stapleton Petsmart. She explained the glitch in the system and I explained the situation. Lea offered to groom our pup herself, she did an incredible job! We don’t know how much time our sweet boy has left but she gave him a beautiful cut and was extremely gentle with him. We can’t thank her enough for going above and beyond.

The grooming staff truly loves dogs and takes great care of them and the rest of the staff is always friendly and helpful.

Refused to groom my Maltipoo because she was matted. I did mention this in the grooming notes and also her being known to get snappy, though she has had good experiences at other petsmarts. We don't normally go to this particular store, but it was the soonest I could find an appointment.They gave me the number of a vet who could maybe do the grooming but they 1) were booked out for the next 3 months and 2) didn't even do sedation grooming, which is what the store told me she would need.I get two days off a week and made this appointment weeks ago to get her groomed as soon as I could. If matting was an issue for the groomers, I would have rather them call me and be told to go somewhere else before I pack everyone up, and drive down. Not pleased with the experience. Made me feel like the worst pet mom in the world.

I love coming here! They have great chews that my dog loves! The cashier we get most times we are in spoils my pup with pets and treats! We did puppy training here and had the best experience. Store is always cleaned and stocked.

I went to my dog's "scheduled" check-up appointment and when I arrived I got told that there was no doctors in that can see my dog. They said that they were trying to reach me to reschedule, but of course I did not receive any phone calls, text messages, or emails stating that we have to reschedule. Obviously they completely forgot about me and my puppy. It makes me wonder how many other times they forgot about your pets that are being taken care of in the back rooms? The two ladies in the front desk looked like a couple lost dogs themselves and they didn't know what to say or what to do. They probably didn't expect me to show up because it was not only raining but hailing as well. So of course I have a wet dog in my vehicle as well. If you ever have an appointment with the banfield hospital, I highly recommend that you call in advance to make sure you dont waste your time and money, or better yet, do what I will be doing and find a more professional hospital. Very unprofessional!!!
