I cannot recommend this place enough - great for both salt and freshwater tanks! It was very clean and everyone was masked. If you're looking for artificial plants or tank decorations I would recommend a different store. This place is better for their fantastic selection of live plants, snails, and rocks/tank safe wood.I will say that it did take a minute to get any help as many of the young guys hanging out did not acknowledge me coming in which was off-putting, but once I asked one of them did help me find a few things. Just had to be a little proactive! I was then directed to the woman behind the desk (who seemed like the main customer service associate) and she could not have possibly been nicer/more helpful. She talked to me extensively about what I was looking for/what would be best in my tank and even gave me a few reasonable discounts/small freebie plants - an excellent way to ensure repeat customers but really it just seemed like she did it to be genuinely nice. Everything they provided me with was healthy and I couldn't be happier with how my tank remodel turned out. My fish are very happy. I will never go anywhere else.

We’ve stopped by three times during business hours and they’ve never been open. One time, the store was open but no one was in it. We waited 20 minutes or so for an employee to show up, but the only people we met were several other first-time customers who were equally confused about the empty store. We’ve tried calling several times, but no one has ever answered.Would love to shop here, it seemed nice! But concerning that they don’t seem to stick to their business hours and leave the store unattended for long periods of time. Would gladly change this review if this was addressed!

Nice selection. Staff never offered to help or spoke to me. In the store for 15 minutes. No other customers. I was greeted by a tortoise who was trying to make a break for it at the door.

I visited this shop yesterday for the first time and immediately knew where I was coming to stock the rest of my tank, and I live 1 1/2 hours away. The staff was very knowledgeable about everything in the store. The place was also incredibly welcoming. One thing I enjoy is a place that I look forward to going back too and this is absolutely that place. So if you're looking to get into the hobby I couldn't recommend Mile High Tides more.

Just stopped in at this fantastic new store, and picked up a beautiful torch... Huge selection of coral, and at great prices. Large, clean store and, most importantly, immaculate tanks. The owner is very friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. Definitely excited to have a new go-to shop for saltwater because, as we all know, the good ones are hard to find. Thank you much!

Amazing amount of customer service, shown by the amount of time they spend with you learning about your situation, wants and needs. They take the time to answer all of your questions and share tons of knowledge. We bought a new Cade tank through them & we’re thrilled to support a small business run off of passion. This is a newer store and they are still working on stocking up. That being said the location was clean the employee i interacted with was knowledgeable and polite. Definitely worth a visit if your in the area and i expect it to be a very good store once they are fully stocked.. update now that they are set up they carry a pretty healthy stock. I also had them come and plumb in a UV filter for me.

Just recently started a saltwater aquarium and have been checking out all of the LFS in my area and so far this has hands down been my favorite. The shop is super clean and is sleek looking and I’m not kidding when I say they have a huge variety in coral! I felt like a kid in a candy shop. All the fish look healthy as well and they even had two moray eels! I was instantly greeted and offered help, which is a rare thing to find with the other shops I’ve been to where as a beginner I could really use it. Shout out to Marie who was great and made be feel so welcomed there and talked me through their selection while giving me a tour! I will definitely be going back once my tank is done cycling and ready to stock! Can’t wait!

I left with a free 4 gal starfire tank on black friday for a doorbuster gift So rad. Ran into these guys at their booth at the Coral Farmers Market here in Las Vegas today. We recently moved out here from Colorado so it was pretty cool to run into some fellow Coloradans out here. They had a great selection of some super colorful frags, if their booth is anything like the store, I couldn't imagine being disappointed. Both guys (Jake and I'm sorry I forgot the other guys name) were helpful and friendly and even let my 10 year old daughter pick out a little Zoa frag of her own. Me, I finally got the torch I've been wanting for months, couldn't pass up the deal! Thanks guys and I'll be sure to swing by your store next time we're back in CO. Have a safe drive home guys.

Definitely one of my favorite fish stores of all time! They have great deals on fish and corals and have a huge variety of both fresh and saltwater livestock. The staff is also very knowledgable and will help answer any questions to help lead you to success. I have been coming here for months, and I have nothing bad to say about this place! If you haven’t checked them out you definitely need to!

This shop has come a long way!! Unmatched fish selection with qt in place. Incredible deals on colonies and always has nice euphyllia in stock. Not to mention most dry goods and plenty of AIOs! Would recommend to anyone in the saltwater hobby.

Jake is simply awesome!I contacted Jake about moving a tank to a new house and his rates were extremely reasonable and I was blown away by his process. It was fast, clean, and very cool to see him work. I learned a lot by helping out. Jake is by far the most accommodating person in this business I have met by far. His schedule was jammed pack between setting up his shop with new tanks, a partnership merging, and his store anniversary! He MADE the time to stick to his word and personally help me out. Just an awesome guy who loves the hobby and helping the hobbyists succeed.

If you have not been to this store then you are missing out! They always have a wide range of corals available from low end to high end, straight fire!! They will help you with any issue you are having with your tank whether your are into freshwater or saltwater. The guys/girls that work here are some of the coolest people I have gotten to know over the last couple years!

People seem cool, but this place is joke.I went in on Saturday (Support Small Business Day). I asked about specials and tall guy with glasses tells me it is 20% off storewide. So I decide to buy some fish. Two wrasses, a blenny, and a goby. He bagged blue sided wrasse and goby right away. The blue sided wrasse was in same tank as blenny. The blenny would not come out of rock. I ended up waiting an hour even though I told them they could catch him later and I would come back. Instead they gave me the rock with blenny in it. Jake was cautious and said the tank was treated with copper so let me know not to put it in display. At check out everything rang up at full price, I said what about 20% off? Jake said it was only on frag tank but he would give me 10%.I get home and acclimate fish. The blue wrasse was not doing well the whole time and flukes/fish scales were falling off of him while still in acclimating. All fish went into qt tank. All other fish were fine in am, even blenny which never left rock. Blue wrasse was dead in the am. Within 24 hrs, I was back at store with dead fish. Tall guy is sitting down and says they don’t warranty marine fish. He claims neither do other fish stores, which is not true. I told him fish was not well during acclimation and his reply was that I should have called the store and told them!!!! Anyone with experience acclimating a fish knows each fish acclimates differently. So he refuses to provide a store credit (around $36, not a big deal to me).I know Jake, the owner, is highly respected in the fish community, but this isn’t a way to do business. Have employees tell a customer that there is a storewide sale when there isn’t. Have a customer wait an hour+ to catch a fish when customer said just catch it later and he will come back. Give customer a fish burrowed in rock treated with copper. Don’t even warranty a fish that dies within hours of being acclimated and qt. The tall guy didn’t even have the courtesy to stand up when customers enters the store.See FB review posts from 11/29/2020. All they do is give excuses and blame others. They even blame the time of my purchase on someone else. When you know better, you do better.

The selection of betta fish available here blew my ***fing mind. Unreal. My entire hobby universe has been turned upside down. Wow. Seriously check out these bettas!Also probably one of the best selection of plants ive seen in town
