They did an amazing job with Hercules! I was nervous to get him back to a groomer after a previous experience where a groomer shaved him causing him to suffer from alopecia. He looks like a new dog with a new grooming regimen!! They are professional, friendly and talented. Thank you so much for making Hercules look like a new man ;)

We absolutely love Little Brown Dog. We moved to the Denver area back in September and we were a little worried that we wouldn’t be able to find a groomer that was as great as our groomer in Portland, but Malia has been fantastic! Little Brown Dog has exceeded our expectations in every way. Whenever we take our dog anywhere, we get comments from people saying they love his haircut and that he must have a really talented groomer. We absolutely trust Little Brown Dog with our dog Arne and highly recommend them to anyone I know looking for a trustworthy and skilled groomer.

Little Brown Dog takes such amazing care of their animals and are really talented with the curly hair dogs.Rachel is amazing!! She has given Annie the best haircut in the 2 years of her life. She took extra extra love and care with Annie who can be a little nervous at the groomer. Annie got so many compliments on her haircut and she smelled amazing for weeks. I will definitely be coming back to Rachel!

I had such a great experience. To start, the place is absolutely adorable when you walk in. My little mini Aussie loved being there and came back looking and smelling amazing. I’ve never been so happy with a groom in my life! And, they’re so affordable. We will definitely be regulars here. I can’t get my little Aussie to sit still almost ever so the pictures are the best I could do :)

I came to the reviews to see if anyone else was feeling the way I do but since I didn’t see anyone echoing my thoughts, I figured I’d leave my own.First- LBD has consistently trimmed my pup to perfection. He’s caked up every time he walks out of there and smells like a flower bed rather than a cow pie for AT LEAST one week after. Before I found LBD I was always nervous someone should irreparably ruin my Aussies coat but I trust that they know what they’re doing, especially Rachel- an absolute angel on earth.Second- I wish I could go in. I figured it was a Covid policy but it seems like it’s here to stay? It would be nice to see where I am dropping my dog off or walk him in since he’s nervous. I’d love to be able to come in, rather than waiting outside, and talk to someone at the front desk and see him before I tip (I’ll be honest though Rachel deserves all the tips) or have the option book my next appointment. Which brings me to my next critique- I also wish it was a bit easier to get in contact with someone. Knowing that no one will pick up when I call to book or waiting for someone see a text when I’m outside is no fun. I will say though that I don’t mind some of the texting to keep in contact, it can be easier than a call and usually the response time is fairly quick.These are, admittedly, minor annoyances that are far overshadowed by the outstanding job they do at LBD, and I will be getting my dog groomed here regardless because of that but I figured I’d offer my two cents.My pup and I will see you soon for our next appointment! Also- for your viewing pleasure- perfectly coiffed cheeks after our last visit.

I’ve been bringing my dog Barney to get groomed here for years. He always comes back happy, clean, and very handsome. I am particular about his haircuts and they have always been very accommodating and do a great job cutting his hair. Before and after photos for evidence 😇

We get both our dogs groomed at Little Brown Dog. The staff is so welcoming each time and you can tell they genuinely love our animals. While they are pricier than other grooming places, our dogs have honestly never looked better. We love that they turn around a grooming appointment in roughly 2-2.5 hours whereas other grooming places have taken nearly half a day. They also do not kennel the dogs which we love. And I promise that your dog will NEVER smell better. I'm not sure what products they use, but our dogs are softer and more fragrant than ever before. We love the Little Brown Dog!!They fill up fast for reservations, so best to book in advance.

We have a cairn terrier, Lina, and knew since she was a puppy that we wanted to get her hand stripped. As a young puppy, LBD had her come in frequently and briefly to get used to the hand stripping experience before doing a full two hour session. Our sweet girl has now been going to LBD every month, and we are always 100% satisfied with the grooming, communication, and general staff interactions. Plus, Lina is always excited to go! We cannot recommend LBD enough for your dog’s grooming needs.

Our little brown dog loves Little Brown Dog. We take Sunny to Little Brown Dog and couldn't be happier! Sunny is a border terrier and requires hand stripping vs. traditional clipping. Our search for a groomer with experience in handstripping led us to Brooke. Brooke is an expert at her craft, and we're always so impressed at pick up. Sunny highly recommends Little Brown Dog and gives 4 of 4 paws :)

Everyone was super nice. The coat on my dachshund mix really needed to be shaved because of the matting and I was dreading the look but she came out awesome! She had never been to a groomer before. She was happy when I picked her up and not stressed at all! I love the fact they don't cage them at Little Brown Dog. You show up for your appointment and pick them up as soon as they are done. This was very important to me as my pup doesn't like to be in a cage. I will definitely be back! I love her new look and no more mats. She is 14 years old...she looks like a young girl again!!

Have been taking our golden Jack here for just about a year now and he just had his most recent bath and cut today. He has been 4 times and always comes out so fresh and clean with a beautiful profile cut. Jack has had a different groomer each time and all have done an amazing job taking care of him. Their communication is clear and once you're a client it is so easy to book and chat with them via text. His most recent cut was with Nicole but he has also had Cassie, Megan and Allison and each has done an amazing job. I feel like they truly care about the animals and I appreciate that! Thank you!

We take our labradoodle to see Emily, and she is THE BEST! He is a fairly timid pup with a lot of hair. She is always so sweet and loving to him, so we always feel comfortable leaving him with her to get his haircut. He always comes home happy and looking so handsome. We constantly get compliments about his hair after he gets a fresh do from her.My only advice is to make sure you try to book out at least a month and a half in advance as their schedule books up quickly.THANK YOU EMILY and the Little Brown Dog team.

Continued great experiences here. It took a while to become a regular because they were so busy, but once we did we couldn’t love them more. And as we continue to refine our dogs haircuts and they continue to look better and better because of the notes they keep of our preferences.

Brought our 4 month old pup in for her first appointment today and I couldn’t have been more impressed. The staff is dedicated to their work and to the animals.I’m thrilled to support a local business where the employees are experts in their craft. This is not a large commercial operation, and that’s what makes me love it even more. You don’t feel like you are simply being processed.The building is a small renovated craftsman home where you can see some dogs being groomed in the front area. There is a back section that we didn’t see, but we were impressed with the cleanliness. Staff was friendly and the groomers were kind towards the animals.They call you when there’s about 20 minutes left so you can head back over for pickup. You do have a grace period (I think it’s 1-2 hours) to pickup before you incur late fees. They tell you how long the appointment will be when you schedule so you can plan drop off and pick up appropriately. We just went and ran some errands and then came back once we got the call. Scheduling your appointment can be tricky, they do fill schedules well in advance, so plan accordingly.Our pup left happy. She is well groomed, and we will be returning very soon!**********We’ve been loyal customers for over a year and only love this place more and more!

Melissa is simply the BEST cat groomer around! I've been taking my cats for grooming every 6 weeks for over a year and i've never once had a bad experience. My fur kids always come back perfectly groomed and fluffy! I love Little Brown Dog and Melissa for always taking care of my fur babies!

Our (black) golden got an excellent cut from Little Brown Dog. She has a thick double layer coat and Cassie really helped with removing a lot of that excess hair and sending her home looking great. Cassie also asked a lot of great questions to understand our pup and what we were looking for before her first cut. We'll definitely be coming back!

I have a rescue puppy mill Yorkie and an older toy Malti-poo. We have been going to LBD for a while now and absolutely love them. Pippi my rescue is a little fidgety but they know how to handle her and give her a wonderful little cut. Barney always looks good too. So impressed with the quality and care that my senior pup received at Little Brown Dog. Grooming is very stressful for her and she’s had bad experiences with other grooming spots that were not gentle in the past. Her groomer Malia took the best care of her and not only gave her one of the best haircuts she’s ever had, but made sure she was comfortable and as calm as possible. I’m so impressed with Malia and the entire experience at Little Brown Dog and the care and attention they gave to a very skittish, elderly pup with arthritis that I will definitely be bringing her back here as a regular client.

Worst Customer service we've ever experienced! Completely butchered our dog and took zero responsibility, while charging our card on file with 20% gratuity without first showing us the grooming. We reached out (spoke to Brooke) to express how unhappy we were with the grooming (from Angelica) and all they did was blame us stating that's what we asked for. I was in tears and asked for them to be empathetic and they continued to not take responsibility or even apologize. I am completely astonished by there response, especially after they said maybe the grooming will grow on you. We've been taking our dogs to LBD for over 4 years and we were always happy until now. The previous groomers were awesome, but the current staff is rude and the cuts have been very inconsistent. For the price they charge they are not delivering that product anymore. I would suggest finding a groomer that cares about their clients.
