This place has a lot of dogs they groom and they do well on certain breeds, but they won't tell you if they're inexperienced with your specific breed. The wash on my dog was great, the grooming was terrible. This is also an open floor estalishment, which means dogs are not kept in crates. This is good if dogs get along and are kept in line. When picking up my dog, an owner of another dog dropped her leash and the dog lunged visciously at my dog. The dog owner and and two shop workers/groomers just stood and watched. Nothing was done to stop the agression or even try to ensure it didn't happen again.. despite their policy that no agressive dogs are allowed. This isn't the worst business I've dealt with, but I will never be back as there are many other options in the area.

First appointment with JK Grooming today and Kayden did a great job with my big, double-coated, high-shedding lady. (Last photo is before the groom.)I asked for a hygienic, natural look and Kayden totally hit the mark. She smells great, but not overly perfumed. Her coat is so soft and beautifully trimmed in the areas that we talked about. And her undercoat feels sooo much better.Even though I was personally in a rush during drop off and pick up, everyone was still super nice and caring.Most importantly, my pup was comfortable and happy when I picked her up. I loved that their grooming tables are openly visible and that they don’t cage dogs when they’re not being worked with. (Kayden did ask beforehand if my girl was dog-friendly, so I’m sure they can accommodate pups who aren’t comfortable socializing.)Marcy and I will definitely continue going to JK!!

I’ve been taking my 70lb Goldendoodle here for years, and my parents also take their 30lb Aussiedoodle here. Julie is phenomenal - detail oriented, kind, compassionate, and very talented! People stop me regularly and ask me where I have Bowie groomed. I love that JK Grooming has a no-kennel policy, and the dogs get to roam freely while they wait. Bowie doesn’t mind getting groomed as a result of the wonderful care he’s been given, and he happily jumps up to the counter and greets Julie when we arrive. I cannot recommend JK Grooming enough! If you are looking for the BEST groomer in town, look no further - you’ve found them!

Shout out to TJ! Did an absolutely top tier job with my wriggly and exceptionally hairy Aussie, Willie. He can be difficult about his nails (I know from struggling to do them myself) and somewhat squirmy so that can cause mixed results with some groomers. TJ could not have done a better job and clearly knew how to cut an Aussie perfectly! Surprisingly it was also not overpriced in the slightest and they were very reasonable and upfront about their estimates too. Won't be going anywhere else in Denver to get him groomed. I saw several Aussies laying about the shop so I highly recommend JK, especially if you have a dog with a double coat. Thanks again TJ, we will be back!

I have been going here for a year and a half and LOVE TJ! I have a Cavapoo, and at first she experienced pretty bad separation anxiety and they put her in a kennel (which makes it worse); after I explained this to them, they keep her not in a kennel when she's done and she is a happy girl, I am glad I gave this place a second change. TJ goes above and beyond for my little, and has a poodle himself. It's nice to know someone like TJ works here! I just recommended my neighbors rescue come here for a nail trim. Small place, but they do know how to get it done! Just be mindful of their extra fees, and make sure to pick your dog up within the time frame and call if you anticipate you will be running behind!

I’ve brought my cat to see Sam at JK Grooming several times now, and have always been thrilled with the results. She typically just trims up her face and mane, trims her nails, and makes her smell fresh and clean. I cannot get near my cat’s nails for the life of me, so was nervous bringing her somewhere at first, but Sam is amazing at what she does and I always leave with a happy kitty!

Giotto the Westie sees Tian every two months or so, and she does a marvelous job! This place is delightful. It's a happy, noisy, space - clean and open - with a lovely staff and convenient location. It took us a few tries to find a groomer our dog likes. This place is it. Top-notch.

Today was our first experience with JK but thankfully we left very pleased. Zoey arrived and was a bit nervous.. but upon my return she was running around and being totally herself. Finally someone cut her hair like I asked... she’s a Yorkiepoo and an outdoorsy girl so the cute boots and curls don’t work for her. Renee cut her hair short like I asked, even trimmed her ear and tail to look much better than her last visit with Petsmart. Thank you Renee for taking care of her. I have been taken my dog Leo there for a long time. This place rocks, Leo and I love this place. 🐾🐾 One of the groomers, Caitlin is phenomenal. Leo has been going to her for eight years now. 🐾🐾Please be leery of the bad reviews, because I don’t understand them. I’m guessing the altitude is getting to their thought process or smoking too much weed.🐾🐾🐾🐾

They forgot to put our dog's new collar back on. They said they have it and to come by. So we come by and it's lost. They have no idea where it is. Also, they pulled out a HUGE pile of other collars, so apparently this is a very common problem. So far, they haven't been helpful in resolving the situation and aren't very friendly or concerned about it. I won't be back.

I have clients to take their dogs to JK grooming. That is how I found out about them and took my grandson's dog which is an Aussie to them. They clipped his nails and groomed him and he looked very good when I picked him up. The staff is always very friendly there. I would recommend this place.

I've taken my lab mix here to get bathed and have a nail trim a couple times. They always do a great job with her anxiety about the groomer. Very efficient and communicative--often can get you in earlier if you're available! They're upfront about pricing and very reasonable. Will definitely be back! :)

They groom cats! I doubt my cat is the easiest to work with, but each time they say it was a pleasure. I'm not picky about every inch being perfect, he just needs the knots shaved off for summer, and they get the job done for a reasonable price. They also listened to my requests and he came back looking like my college mascot!

Thank you JK. My (Samurai’s) visits with you have always been absolutely Fantastic!!! On time and quick work. That’s the way to run a appointment business. JK are great with your fur baby and I trust them fully. Sam is one of the kindest best groomers around. She takes time and patience to help get a very difficult Shiba’s nails clipped. No easy task and yet my dog consistently is willing to return to this groomer’s. Telling me while he hates it he loves Sam. This review is based solely on the experience I had attempting to take my dog to this groomer - he was never actually groomed here.My dog was groomed consistently every 4-6 weeks. We were attempting to switch things up and take him to JK after a ton of positive reviews and referrals. I booked for their services 4 weeks exactly after his last grooming session and was turned away by the owner at the door. Keep in mind, this was mid December and there was nowhere else I could take him to get groomed because of the holidays and people being completely booked.Why were we turned away? The owner greeted us by running out the door at him and freaked him out. She RAN out the door directly at us and it scared him. Maybe I’m the crazy dog mom, but I feel his reaction was justified. New place, new people - I also gave him anti anxiety medication prescribed by our vet to ease him up ahead of time; which I think is normal for a lot of dogs with the grooming experience. Apparently this groomer will not groom dogs if they have taken anti anxiety medication. She lectured me for giving him medication for 10 minutes outside before eventually telling us she wasn’t going to be grooming him at all. Leaving us stranded ahead of the holidays and leading to eventually having to shave him down completely when I could get in somewhere else in late-January.It’s been 4 months later and this interaction still upsets me. She made me feel like a terrible pet parent and frankly, screwed us over with our grooming schedule/routine. We are happy with a new groomer who applauds how wonderful he is during his grooming sessions; so I guess it worked out in the long run. Maybe this review will finally allow me to move in from this interaction with this groomer.

We love Kayden. We followed her here from her last place and she is so sweet and patient with our pup who had generally always had bad grooming report cards up for being combative/nippy w/ everyone else until we found her. Our dog does just fine with Kayden, 2 yrs now, never comes back all stressed and nicked/cut all over her body. The set up here is more relaxed/accommodating and not commercial. The prices reflect that and are better than any other Denver groomer we’ve had thus far. Last but not least, they really set up ALL appointments to be 1:1 and tailored to each dog—on average my bichon who comes in with long, fuzzy fur every 8-10 weeks is in and out within an hour and a half.

This place is HORRIBLE! If you love your dog, DO NOT TAKE THEM TO JK Grooming.This place was recommended by my vet who takes her German Shepard there for grooming. I made the appointment and asked for an experienced grooming who is good with big dogs/ German Shepard’s.I arrived and the staff was very hesitant about taking my dog Zeus. I offered to leave but was asked to stay. The groomer was scared of my dog. It seemed like she was UNCOMFORTABLE/ HATED big dogs and clearly, she did. 30mins later I was asked to pick him because he wasn’t allowing the groomer to dry him. I was asked to pay by the phone before being informed that my dog was towel dried.However, my poor dog was soaking wet and water was dripping from his belly. I asked for towels and dried him myself in the lobby. When I asked to talk to the manager, this red hair guy freaked out on me and argued that my dog was towel dried.My dog used to get groomed in Nebraska without any issues. They claim he wouldn’t let anyone dry him? He is a big baby and loves people.ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH GROOMERS WHO ARE UNCOMFORTABLE/HATE BIG DOGES.

Best groomer around. Very kind, communicate well and we always leave with a happy pup! We've seen Cody for most of our grooming needs, I highly recommend her. They do tend to book out a bit so keep that in mind for scheduling but it's totally worth the wait!
