Very poor experience. My 2 year old doodle has had many trims and is an easy dog. I asked for short ears, tail, and paws. Only the tail was done and the rest was so sloppy. The groomer missed patches all over her body. When I sent pics, she offered to redo the groom instead of a refund for such atrocious work.

The groomers at grateful dog do such an excellent job with my dog, Friend. He always comes out happy as you can see in his smile. They treat him well, and it shows when he comes back to me. The haircut is always spot on and they make sure to get all of that hair underneath his feet and around his toes. Something I know is fairly difficult to do for my dog. I highly recommend these groomers if you’re in the area or even if you’re not. Hope this helps.

Highly recommend this place to get your dogs groomed! I am a new dog owner and didn’t know exactly what to expect, or how frequently I needed to visit the groomer to maintain my Newfie pup’s coat. The staff here helped me with that, and also went above and beyond to get his coat back to health. He’d had severe matting behind his ears due to a lengthy surgery recovery and having a cone for 4 weeks. They were able to fully pick and detangle without having to shave at all! He finally looks much happier, healthier, and smells amazing :) will definitely make this place my permanent groomer.

We love bringing our Kai Kai here! He’s always scared of the dryer but the staff makes him comfortable and he always leaves happy and beautiful. Kai is an Aussie Shepherd mix (beagle and lab) so his fur is thick and gorgeous and Grateful Dogg knows just how to make it shine. I also love how good they clip his nails! Worth every penny! After initially claiming nothing happened to my dog (despite his insanely puffy and droopy eye), they admitted that they failed (“forgot” was the word used) to wash the soap out of my dog’s eye, offered to have me come in to use a dog safe eye solution, and when I agreed to they said they didn’t have any and told me to go to petco to buy some.This happened a few months ago and my dogs eye is permanently smaller than the other one now. I don’t know how this groomer has such great reviews on google, but I suggest you look to Yelp for a more accurate picture of what goes on here.

I’ve been using the Grateful Dogg as my groomer for 2 years now . My dogs love them and they are extremely flexible and accommodating . I moved from the neighborhood last August and could not find anyone as personal and thorough as they are so I decided to drive a little farther and return to them as my groomer . They do fur removal / nails/ teeth and ears like no other . Thank You 🙏🏼🐕🐶

These guys take such good care of our boys! I love that the dogs aren't stuck in a kennel while they wait to be groomed, they just get to hang out like they are at home. The groomers here do an amazing job with my spaniel and collie. They do better than anyone else that have touched our dogs! I also am able to get in within a week for a groom most of the time, which is great since I don't remember my dogs need a cut until it's too late. We love these guys and will drive across the city to bring our pups to them!

They do a great job with my dog’s coat. In the hotter months of the year I did have one lady tell me that cutting my dog’s hair shorter isn’t healthy for him, even though I am very aware he has a double coat and have never gone short enough to effect it negatively. She pretty much refused to do it at the length I wanted. I probably will have to find somewhere else for my dog’s summer coat, but for the cold seasons they do the best job. We also love the free bandana!!

This place is wonderful! We brought in our 1.5 year old doodle to be groomed for the first time today. She had some serious matting and had never been professionally groomed before, so we weren't sure what to expect. They did such an amazing job, listened to everything we asked for, and our doodle looks beautiful now! They are really caring, giving the dogs time to adjust before starting the grooming. Our dog really seemed to like it here too! Thank you so much for a wonderful first groom! We will most definitely be back!

My boyfriend and I have been taking our Australian Shepherd here for over a year now and we have never had any complaints. As previous reviews have said, there are some inconsistencies between groomers, but generally, they have all been friendly and given a good cut. Today, my boyfriend was dropping off our dog for her next appointment and was so appalled by the owner's behavior that we have decided to take our business elsewhere. It started by my boyfriend describing to the owner how we generally get our Aussie cut (we like it on the shorter side, but never shaved), for which he received a scolding from her saying how bad it was to cut an Aussie's hair short and insisting that no groomer at her establishment is allowed to cut a double coated dog in that fashion. Additionally, my boyfriend explained that we were not asking for a shave, which she couldn't seem to comprehend, as she continued to say, 'shaving a double coated dog is bad for them'. Please be aware that every time we have visited Grateful Dog, we show the groomer a picture of how we like them to groom our dog and they have all insisted that the cut is just fine. The owner checked the records and surely enough found that her establishment, was indeed cutting our dog's coat short (again, not shaved). At that point my boyfriend asked for our dog, as he no longer wanted to leave her there for the grooming session. Once that occurred, the owner back tracked that stated 'I will do this for you, but normally wouldn't do this type of cut for any new customers coming off the street'. Nothing like being rude to a frequent customer and then back peddling once you see money walking out the door. We are happy to be educated politely on dog grooming, but you should not be treating customers this way. If I could give negative stars, I would.

This groomer is in my rotation for my dog. I have about 2-3 places I take my dog based on availability. This little shop is in my neighborhood and pretty good value for the money. They book up rather quickly so I would recommend calling for an appointment in advance of when you need it. I find they can be a little inconsistent with the grooming from groomer to groomer but overall they do a pretty good job. The price is also reasonable as well, which is always a plus!

We only recently started taking our precious doodle there and we’ve loved it!! Kind people who care about the animals and are making it easy to drop them off and pick them up doing this pandemic. We’ve loved how our pooch looked each time we picked her up and she had a definite skip in her step. She’s a nervous wreck but the workers seem to know what to do and how to handle her and groom her right! Would definitely recommend!

I take my boy Jerry here and he just loves getting his hair groomed. My dogs are part of my family so I am very happy to find a dog loving place like this. We’ve taken our puppy here three times, and the last two times were pretty awful. While the price point might be great, they have been rude and super short with us during every interaction. Plus, our pup came home the last two times super skittish, acting nervous and now she keeps hiding. I get it maybe we shouldn’t have gone back, but I thought it might just be an off day, so wanted to give the benefit of the doubt. Our pup doesn’t even come home from the vet like this! We won’t return, and for those considering I would just be mindful before booking.

Walked past their cute little store earlier in the week and immediately called to schedule my long haired corgi a grooming appointment. They were able to have him come in the very next morning! He was there for maybe 2 hours and looked fantastic when I picked him up. Kim (groomer) was so sweet and accommodating. The lady at the desk (can’t remember her name) was also so nice in answering all of my questions. The place is very reasonably priced and Charlie is so soft and looks so great! I came across this place online and I’m glad I did! My german shepherd doesn’t handle grooming very well and they were more than understanding. She came out looking beautiful and super soft. I’ve been to numerous different groomers but have never walked away this impressed. It’s not very close to where I live but I will be making the drive regularly for this place!

Came here for the first time, and I am sooooooo happy to have found my new groomer! I got the best feeling from my groomer. She was super helpful, gave me lots of good advice, and obviously loves dogs. She did an exceptional job with my mini labradoodle! He looked adorable. I also love that the dogs can be free to run around and play while they are there. Reasonable prices as well. Highly recommend!!!

If only I could give negative stars. We drove up from Lone Tree in a snow storm to make our 7:30am appointment; planned ahead so we would arrive early. The person that opened the shop was late and rude! I wouldn't have minded her being late if she wasn't so rude. She gave me attitude when I walked in to see if she was ready for my dogs. I wanted to give her a moment to get settled, and when I walked in to ask if she was ready she refused to even make eye contact with me and just pointed at the sign saying "yea, open." She complained about the snow making her late, but it was pretty tough to miss the fact that she took the time to stop at Starbucks on her way into the store. Again, being late would not have been an issue if she had just been accountable and friendly. We made a point to be on time out of respect for their time, as customers, we would simply request the same respect for our time. We all have bad days and the snow was tough, but that does not warrant treating customers badly. Unfortunately, if she's this rude to a first time customer I have serious concerns about how she would treat my dogs. Sadly, we will not be back.Additional response to the owner:Your lack of professionalism and customer care in dealing with this matter only solidifies our decision to take our business elsewhere. We brought in our Havanese rescue who has fear aggression with strangers. Immediately they were so incredible in making her feel safe! Everyone who works there is extremely friendly and caring. I’ve used this place before for both a self-wash and a summer cut for my Aussie Shepherd. They’re very close to my house, so though I’m infrequently a customer, I’m fairly loyal. Came in this morning and they weren’t able to make an appointment because the appoint book hadn’t yet arrived (?!?), were too busy for a drop off (which I expected), but then they informed they couldn’t help anyway because my dog is an Aussie. Apparently they have enough business that they don’t work on “double hair” breeds. I ended up calling Urban Dog and got a quick appointment.If you’re the kind of person who takes their little toy dog to the groomer frequently, this might be your place. If you’re the person who gets your full-size dog a summer cut because they get too hot, this isn’t your spot. Pretty annoying that a neighborhood business won’t actually serve the neighborhood’s needs.EDIT to Grateful Dogg: I was there at exactly 9 and your sign said open. It’s not u reasonable to expect to be able to schedule under those circumstances. The dog is 12 years old and is well cared for and in fine health. He needed a bath because he gets a lot of time outside. He has had a summer cut every year his entire life because it *helps* him with temperature regulation. Your attitude about telling me what’s best for my dog instead of what the veterinarian recommends is condescending, but that wasn’t even offered by your employees. That you repeatedly elide that my business isn’t of value because it is infrequent only supports my original review. You could have taken the review as something to work on. You chose differently. Changed from two stars to one star in response.
