Talk about a hidden gem! Stumbled upon this place on our way to Pagosa Springs and I instantly fell in love. Amazing atmosphere with a cool little old west town going on with their shops and saloon. The product they sell is top notch, I just wish I lived closer.

I absolutely had a blast, I got to stroke the antlers of an elk and I didn’t realize how warm and alive they were. Absolutely beautiful. Spent some time looking at all the signs. I did buy some meat. I love that you can actually buy some goods there. I smelled something, so I bought it, it’s so warm.I WOULD RECOMMEND

I was driving down the road and I thought to myself, I would like a slab of elk meat. Perfect place for that. Could not figure out pricing so loss of one star. Friendly staff. Very cool place. At least stop for some jerky.

I've passed this place a few times when they've been closed and finally got to stop in a couple weeks ago. I got an elk ribeye and a small selection of elk jerky. Elk meat is normally fantastic and I sometimes prefer it to beef, but this was not a good experience. The elk ribeye had a strange texture as did the meat sticks - kinda mushy - I don't know how else to describe it. The flavor was just okay. It was the poorest elk meat experience I've ever had. The elk jerky I got was too spicy/peppery - no good elk flavor. I don't know if the product I bought came from an old cow or what the issue was, just was not a normal, delicious elk experience.

Awesome local elk & Buffalo jerky, kids loved all the cats. Lots of different antlers, pelts, bone & horn buttons. Local cheese, popcorn, lots of frozen meat (deer, elk, Buffalo, beef) and miscellaneous items like mugs & hand cream

So many things to choose from! We stopped specifically for antlers for our pup (so affordable!), and then also ended up getting a bunch of different jerkey and summer sausages to try as well. The staff was helpful and we would definitely come back if we are ever in the area again.Also, they have an elk which is neat to see up close.

We passed this place on our way to Bayfield, and both agreed we should turn around and check it out. Definitely interesting and cool between the decor, Elk outside, and of course the cats who greeted us. We got a small variety of jerky to try and so far are impressed with what we have tried!

Loved the new fully antlered Elk as we were driving in - despite it being in a corral. We don't see one of those everyday 😯And to purchase real animal meat as if it was hunted means we can finally make that awesome stew again ! Elk, deer, bear, buffalo (can't not think about Ted Nugent) - take your pic. Jerky too from most of the above 🤔Yeah - you need to check this place out !

Lots of great meats at reasonable prices. We picked up venison snack sticks, bison snack sticks and elk snack stick, as well as an assortment of elk jerky in various flavors. The staff is helpful and friendly, and the location is easy to find with several billboards and east to read signs at the entrance from the highway. Will stop in again, if I am ever in the area.

Hello, I received two elk antlers yesterday. The website specifically states NO Splintering. Please see below picture. I just pulled a piece out of my 9 month old bernese mountain dogs throat. She was freaking and and not breathing. I am not very happy at the moment and wanted to communicate my disappointment.Update: my pup has been throwing up and has diarrhea. Do not purchase these chews.

Very friendly and helpful staff called me to help with my order and gave me all the details about my order and helped me to save money with the shipping all the way to Florida. My package arrived today in excellent shape.. everything still frozen, clean, and intact with a lovely new calendar 😊 this will be my go-to place for game meat as I’ve had at least 2 orders from fossil farms that came with blood leaking in their packages before.

This was a fun little stop on our road trip! As you pull in you will see corralled elk which was a neat surprise for my kids. Inside the shop, you will find coolers of game meat (even some more exotic like bear). The meat cuts are diverse and you can order online!

As far as meat goes they really have a great selection. We had been in CO for a week and saw very little big game. My son loved seeing the elk next to the store.

****BEWARE THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM****Ordered from this company Elk USA in Colorado. Meat packages arrived with different company name from Texas. I ordered Elk, 1 package said Elk, 1 said venison and 1 said Axis. Meat was terrible. Not well vaccum sealed. Wasted $400.00 Do not buy from these people.

If you love animals and the novelty of taxidermy, this is the place for you. There are animals to view, pelts to touch, and racks to explore. There is also of variety of meats and jerky for sale. I really enjoyed stopping here because it was a quick, fun stop with lots to see on a long car ride.

I made an online order of about 10# of different game meats and 5# of Bear fat. Thats right, I said Bear fat, my new favorite cooking grease. My ordering experience was good. You might be wondering if shipping is expensive; Yes it's expensive *note the box was well packed and all goods arrived in COL temperature range. The Elk, bison and beef I ordered looks delicious. The bear fat is going to make some tasty gease.I highly recommend this place5 (*****)stars4($$$$) this part of the review is for the individual person buying for themselves. Buy for a family or a group of friends you can save more on shipping.

Fresh elk at great prices. They also carry many other varieties of wild game. Dog food and treats, collectibles and many other cool items. Lady at counter was extremely helpful and friendly. Anytime we are through here we will be stopping by!

Bought antlers from the elkusa online store. Normally the cheapest I can find locally is $5 for a small antler. These antlers were easily twice as big as the ones I find locally and I got 50% more antlers than I would have for the same price, here. Thank you!

I had no idea how much I was paying. I just knew I wanted to try it all! Spent over $200 on 7 steaks and 2 salami....but those Elk Tenderloin were the best steak I have ever cooked!!!! I will be stopping in again in 2 weeks to buy more of them. I bought ribeye, NY strip, and tenderloin, as well as 2 bison tbones that we haven't had yet. I panseared in cast iron skillet with the A1 recipe in their book I bought for 95 cents. Recipe said to oven broil but the cast iron was perfect. Now I just need to find myself an elk hunter so I can eat elk every day!!

Very interesting place but with only one carload at a time allowed in shop during COVID we got tired of waiting after 1/2 hour for only carload before us (3 men). Left without our jerky 😔 Would help to have a time limit inside shop as some were just browsing and not buying.
