Found out some unsettling information about the way my pigs were processed. They aged them to long and cut off the meat that went bad. They even replaced some customers meat with store bought meat. All of my meat that I took home and sold is awful no matter what way you cook it. Very dry and tough to chew. If I could give a no star I would. I do not recommend this shady business. Definitely worth driving a few extra miles for a different butcher!

I wouldn’t have an animal processed here again, but if you do, make sure you do the online cut sheet. I called in my cuts and although I specified “Italian” sausage and only “Italian” sausage to the person I spoke to, they also circled “reg” which is right above the word “bulk.” I received only regular bulk sausage and ZERO Italian bulk sausage. It looks to me like only the word “bulk” was supposed to have been circled, but the circle was so big it looked as though “reg” was circled too and that was never what I asked for. Either that or I believe with every ounce of my being that someone messed up and processed it as regular sausage and realized it afterward and went on my cut sheet and placed a circle around “reg bulk” too, just to cover it up. The manager Casey refused to accept responsibility and said if I had done it online this wouldn’t have happened. The sad thing is this happened last year too but I thought it was an honest mistake and I never called them about it, especially since it would be an hour drive (each way) to switch it and I paid for an organically raised hog and wouldn’t know the quality of meat they would switch it for. I cannot believe it happened again and so much for customer service because I was treated as though I was the one at fault.

We were very excited to learn of a locker plant closer to home. The drop off, cut sheet completion, and packaging all went great/looked professional. Unfortunately, when we went to pick up the beef the staff were quite unpleasant and frankly very rude. We said thank you for loading in the vehicle and they walked away without acknowledging us. Very disappointed about how unappreciative they were.

Grain fed, butchered and packaged Colorado beef. I bought half of one. Going to cook a roast tomorrow to try it out for taste! You can customize what you want before they notify you to come pick it up. A frozen locker system keeps your purchase frozen and separate from other buyers. When you enter you can see the staff behind the counter cutting the meat. Makes you feel like you are walking back in time to the 50s and the way things used to get done before big meat processing facilities took over.

The service and communication was excellent. The company lets you know where the livestock comes from and how it was raised. My family split up one cow and the cuts were very neatly packaged and delivered on time.
