This was our first time making it out to see the Ice Castles, and it did not disappoint. The event was well staffed, and the views and few activities were nice. We reserved an evening time of 3pm on a Friday. There was plenty of parking, and the lot attendants made it very easy to get in and out. The 4 of us were there about 1.5 hours enjoying the architecture of all the ice castles, two slides; of which my boys highly recommend the side by side one over the single. Noticing the mini string lights throughout some of the sculptures, I think a nighttime or late evening view would have been pretty nice to see as well.

A fun experience. Would for sure recommend buying tickets ahead of time. Because of weather we had to change our reservations twice. $15 for the change each time but what can you? Ample parking and space. We stayed for around 90 minutes and that was more than enough time to take everything. Will be going back during the night next year.

Would highly recommend taking the family to the Ice Castles! Such a unique experience and absolutely gorgeous, especially once they're lit up at night. We enjoyed the ice slides as much as the kids - they were fun and fast! We went during the 5:30-6pm time slot, which allowed us to get the lay off the land while it was still light and then stick around to experience it after dark. Highly recommend!

So beautiful, it's worth the price. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and willing to share that with you. I'm sure the daytime is beautiful but I went at night so that I could see the beautiful lights. The music is really neat along with the colors. Heads up walking is like walking in sand it is hard on your legs and knees if you struggle. They provide warming stations and benches. I look forward to going back again next year.

It is really fun and their slides are great. It is worth the money and time to go through it especially at night when all the lights are changing and creating wonderful visual effects. They do have a cute little store at the end. The only thing I would add is hot chocolate and a Christmas ornament that people could buy to put on their tree as a take-home gift. The staff is really nice and helpful

It was very cool to see! I recommend reserving a time just before sunset. If you go too early you may get cold waiting for the night lights. Definitely worth the trip but don't get your expectations too high.

I was told that while in Colorado Springs, Ice Castles was a must-go. So I obediently followed through. It is a magical place. Initially I thought it was a small walk around, but it's actually pretty big, offering some climbing to capture nice shots of the city, but also there are tunnels, slides, and hidden passages to explore the richest experience that icicles have to offer. I recorded a brief video of one of the employees, Aaron, who gave me permission to post on social media. He explains how this magical place is created, who actually designs it and what tourists can expect to see. Don't miss it!🙂

It was fun, and it was great to see the smiles on the kids’ (of all ages) faces.I expected a bit more in the way of artistry and maybe an actual castle of some form, but most of it is blobs of ice with icicles hanging down. Just a few ice carvings. The slides were fast, and crawling through a tight tunnel was cool.I recommend this, but I don’t think I would go again.

A beautiful winter wonderland experience! It was snowing lightly while we were there, so it was even more magical. There's a few ice slides and unique photo ops. We layered our clothing and wore snow pants/shoes and didn't get too cold. There were a few fire pits throughout to help stay warm. There are no bathrooms inside the castles but there are port-a-pottys at the entrance/exit.

We were there at noon and it was pretty amazing see it all with the sun shining so bright. I'm sure it will be amazing to see this in the evening with the lights on too! They have 3 levels (one for toddlers and the other ones for kids and adults) of ice slides setup which were fun! It helps to wear snow boots because the ground is covered with snow but it has a lot of ice mixed in and so it feels like you are walking on loose sand. They have a few ice sculptures too. A fun place to be

We had a good timing since we were there when there was daylight, at sunset and night time when the colored lights were on. Though it’s understandable that all is ice, it doesn’t mean the walkway as well. I had a fall because it s was slick and my back and wrists hurt so bad.Beware of families who would have one or two in line for the slides and then when it’s their turn, a family or 2 with almost 20 members would come and cut ahead of everyone, how very rude!

I love coming to cripple creek! I'm super excited that the ice castles are closer this year. It's definitely an okay experience. I love the art and process put into it! Definitely dress warm. I mean boots, snow pants, extra pants. Shirt jackets the ground is like slush. (So you slip/fall), so you definitely want to keep you and your kiddos' feet warm. Overall, I did enjoy the experience. It's definitely a once a year type of thing 😌

The Ice Castles were fun for the whole family. Our 10 and 4 year old enjoyed the trip. They have ice slides that even us adults enjoyed. You can enjoy different sculptures as well as take a seat on the ice thrones! There was parking and several porta potties available (when we went they were clean and surprisingly smelled good). We purchased our tickets online before hand because we wanted to make sure we could get in and not make the drive up there just to be told they sold out. However, if you buy in person they do offer a military discount.

An enchanting winter wonderland, perfect for a memorable family visit. The intricate ice formations and magical lighting create a breathtaking experience that's truly one-of-a-kind. We visited at 7:30 PM, the perfect slot to witness the castle's enchanting beauty. Don't forget to try the slides and buy a souvenir. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this is a must-see attraction for anyone looking to be captivated by the beauty of nature's frozen artistry.

It was a great experience. We went to the Cripple Creek, Colorado location. We bundled up and held up great (2 layers including - gloves, hat, coat, boots). Others who appeared to not have similar winter gear went often to the two fire pits inside of the ice sculpture area. It’s amazing to know that artist have the creativity and talent to put together these elaborate ice sculptures. There were 3 slides and a cave to crawl through. There was one double small slide for toddlers, a faster speed larger double slide and a medium single slide. They do not allow lap riders. We had a reservation for 8pm. Parking wasn’t too bad. They had Porta John’s on the outside if you are brave enough. I recommend just driving up to a casino to use the restrooms since they are open 24 hours a day. There aren’t many restaurant options in Cripple Creek. I would recommend making a reservation for dinner. We took snacks, drinks, sandwiches in the car. Also good to remember that no one under 21 years of age is able to walk through the casino but you are able to go to the restaurants and restrooms.

I was disappointed. On picture it's looks massive in reality not really. All attraction will takes you maximum 30 min with stops on every corner for photoshoot. If you don't take photos you need only 10 min to cover all place . It's has couple of ice sculpture not big ones. And cuple very short slide. If you living more far than 30 min drive this is not worth to drive that long . If you will buy tikets online it's cheaper!

Was pretty interesting. Was expecting a little more wow factor. Gift shop didn't offer much. We were warned bathrooms were pretty gross and hadn't been emptied in a while. Inside the lines for slides were long and took a while. Lights were pretty cool but I'd pay a higher admission for some light show or something.Overall it was a nice experience for the price. If you've never been to one of these places, I would recommend checking it out, repeat visit, i dunno, this was my second time, once in Cripple Creek and previously in Breckenridge

Overall the experience was good but not sure it was worth the price of admission ($27 per person). We arrived in cripple Creek and there were no signs to get to the attraction or parking. We were also expecting more sculptures and "castle-like" structures. We definitely enjoyed ourselves but thought the value was not equivalent to the cost.

The Ice Castles was OK... we live in Lone Tree, so it definitely was not worth the 2.5hr drive. Happy to see it for the 1st time, but was kinda anticlimactic if driving more than 20/30 mins.Great for kids, was kinda crowded, overall cool experience.

Enjoyable attraction. Beautiful sculptures, pretty colors with “Disney-esque” type music, and nicely spaced fire pits to warm up by, along with views overlooking the city of Cripple Creek make this a romantic evening for a date night! And with the cool slides, it is fun for the kids and makes for a family friendly night out!The only thing I would add to make it even better would be a concession stand with coffee/hot chocolate, or even maybe beer/wine and a warm snack like a hot pretzel—where you could stand by one of the fire pits and enjoy a beverage for a few minutes and linger in the beautiful surroundings.I also think having a small area in the background with a screen showing animated Christmas movies, like Rudolph, during the holidays would be a nice touch, or maybe a documentary of polar bears and or penguins to really bring home the Arctic theme. (That’s just my personal thought). They could also use some IT help—as we were turned away at the entrance when we wanted to buy tickets and were told we needed to go away and purchase them online!? That was a hassle—but a kind gentleman who worked there overheard our frustrated attempts, and came to our rescue and got us in!Very nice people, and they obviously care and are excited to be in Cripple Creek offering this attraction! This was just their second day open—so I’m sure things will smooth out as they go.Thanks Ice Castles for choosing Cripple Creek this year! Nice job! Beautiful creation! We hope you have a very successful season here in Cripple Creek!

We went during the week. An almost 1.5-hour drive to Cripple Creek from Colorado Springs. Got there and was surprised at the size of the venue. It is very small! Our total visit, in and out, took about 20 minutes.I give 2 stars because of the concept and good staff. 0 stars because of the price at $27/person and that it was such a small venue. In my opinion, if you are in the Cripple Creek area, it is worth the visit but not the price. Just don't spend a long drive just to get there just for this venue. Unfortunately, you will be disappointed.

Friendly staff, it’s great for kids because they’ll enjoy the slides. Plenty of sculptures to look at, tunnels, and a wishing well.Be sure to dress warmly, as it’s generally outside and can get cold. Hat, gloves, warm jacket. If you plan on going down the slides I’d wear snow pants. Boots are a must, as you’re walking through ice and snow.

Wow! This place is stunning!! The ice sculptures were very beautiful! It's definitely worth checking out! It took us about an hour and a half to go through and get down the bigger of the 2 ice slides once. Note, they do give you a flat mat to sit on for the bigger slide. They also have a small short slide, too, with no wait. Note, you need to drive down, I believe, 4th street, to get to the parking lot. The other entrance through the residential houses will be blocked off at the end. Buy tickets in advance as it's a very popular event. As for clothing- we wore thermals, a neck warmer, a hat, a coat, gloves, and waterproof boots, and that was perfect in 22-degree weather. Make sure you wear boots as the whole area is covered in snow. The best time to go is around 4-430 pm, so you can see the ice sculptures during the day and night time.

This place is straight from a fairytale. From the ethereal music to the glistening icicle bridges, everything about the ice castles is surreal. Especially at night when the ice is lit up with color. The exhibit features towering ice walls, ice slides, interactive sculptures and tunnels. All made out of pure ice. It is truly surreal and peaceful to walk under the massive ice bridges. This is a definite must do at least once in your life experience. Restrooms are located off of the ice castle area. You can leave and return from the bathrooms but not anywhere else. There is no food or drink served here. You must reserve and pay for a time slot online to enter.
