A clerk by the name of John could not care less about his job, he is miserable and he makes sure everyone knows it. John is not interested in helping customers and is clearly not concerned with repeat business as he ensures that his customers never want to shop at the Cripple Creek location again. Wow, what a miserable person.

Since living in Cripple Creek, which has been five months, I have utilized many useful items for purchase from Ace Hardware but today I believe I've seen my last visit to the store.I entered Ace with the ancient battery from my Bronco. The salesman showed me the battery I needed and he told me the sticker price was $129.99. It was a little pricey but a necessary commodity. Once I was ready to checkout the cashier told me it would be $180 and some change. After some checking the battery was indeed $160 plus tax.The salesman told me he couldn't honor the sticker price because of the difference in price. I've never been denied the listed sticker price when there is a discrepancy in advertising, today was the first.Having already spent a good sum of money at the Cripple Creek Ace Hardware I have spent my last penny. I won't give them any more of my business. I'll drive to Woodland Park, spend more on gas but I'll have some piece of mind.And the only reason I gave them two stars was because of past service.

The staff is always friendly and helpful. Prices are comparable to other hardware stores. They stay open later, so I'm able to go by after I get off work at 5pm.

Rusty is everything you could want in a hardware store guy, friendly, knowledgeable, and whip-smart. He's become something of a local celebrity as a consequence. There's a lot of things Rusty could be doing for a living, but right now he's selling hardware, and you'd be a fool not to take his advice.

I always get top level service here. Rusty has always helped me above and beyond, actually they all do, but Rusty is my "Go to Guy". I am new to Cripple creek and have been renovating a house here for the past 2 years and have had to come here A LOT! I just moved in finally and love it. I still have a lot of work to do and plan on getting everything I can from here. THanks for everything!

Poor service. I bought item there using a $10 customer gift card (with minimum purchase of course) item didn't work returned item and they gave me $10 less! Said I lost the value of the gift card! Such BS! Sad sad service Rex.
