This place has the rudest employees of any place in town. I went there couple of nights ago found an item that look like it was used. I inquired with Larissa the clerk, if the item was used in display because there's no price tag on it and it looks a little rough. Rudely Larissa asks me " do you want to buy the item or not?"🧐 Yes I want to buy the item otherwise I wouldn't be inquiring about it and have it in my hand at the check stand. Maybe she was upset because my entering the store interrupted her smoke break with her friend outside. I inquired if she was able to reduce the price of the used looking item and she said absolutely not do you want to buy the item or not? I said I'd like to speak to the manager. I'm told there's not a manager here they're gone for the whole week! What? 😳 there's no manager for a week I don't even believe that. What store doesn't have the manager or anybody in charge for a week? At this point I know she's just ready to go smoke again , which she absolutely was because I sat in the car to start writing my review and who pops out?.... Larissa to have another smoke break! I step out the car asking "what is the manager's name?" Larissa says "I don't have to tell you that!" You can call the store." I did call and nobody answered the call.She claims she didn't hear phone ring.LIKE THAT'S MY FAULT??? NO it is not. News flashI did file an online complaint.Understand that reducing a price due to damage Does not come out of your paycheck! Being rude disrespectful and no help for anything can get a reaction far worse, like unemployed. Calm down and at least act as tho you're willing to help. Employees do not care about the customer since the COVID SNAFU. FAMILY DOLLAR is proof of this. I do not have to shop there it is a choice. One I'll be reconsidering next time I go shopping. Anybody but.....Family Dollar👎

Worst custumer service I've had in a Family Dollar! If I could give them a -0 I would! I like doing my shopping at Family Dollar for cleaning products and tissues. I accidentally bought Arm & Hammer carpet order eliminator, instead of carpet form cleaner. Took it back with my receipt. The manager stated, it could have been open and used, would not even let me exchange it! She made me feel as though I was a liar and a thief in front of the other customers.. With that kind of customer service, they want survive the pandemic!

The cashier never made eye contact. It was weird. She came off as cold and annoyed. But the store was clean and well organized.

I never give bad reviews. I'm a resident of Cortez and regularly shop here. They wouldn't let my 6 year old little girl use the restroom when she really needed to go. There are 2 locked restrooms at this location that have signs on the door saying they've been closed due to theft and vandalism. Pretty sure a six year old isn't going to commit any of those crimes. My family will no longer shop here. Lady working the register was pretty rude when I asked her to help my daughter. So disappointing. Your bathroom policy is exorbitant.

I am a true regular to the Cortez, CO Family Dollar on S. Broadway. - - I am continually impressed by the consistent friendlinest of the staff. - - Greg is #1, Eric a close 2nd. - - I look forward to my shopping here, which makes me HAPPY!!!

I very rarely leave a bad review. Sometime people have bad days and I understand that. That being said, every single time I go in there I leave thinking I would have received much better customer service elsewhere. I contacted the home office, hopefully it will be improved.

You can not get to the toilet paper the boxes where thrown over the shelf. I don’t see how they sell anything when every time I go in there there so much stuff in the isle in boxes blocking stuff on shelf’s. All 4 employee where at the front not working.

Always out of stock, Freight all over the floors that it's hard to get down the aisles, out date products of food items. Look how stale this muffin is it won't even give. This is NOT the 1st time it has happened.

They deny use of the restrooms to paying customers. One employee walked my buddy straight to one, the older lady at the front refused and said they won’t let anyone use them.
