Definitely a must go if you’re traveling through Cortez. So many amazing new books on herbalism & self-sustainability (and much more). He has a huge selection of used books that are very well organized. We were happy we stopped in!

I absolutely loved this store. If you’re a book lover, you could easily spend hours browsing the well organized shelves. After finding five books, I had to stop looking or I would have been there all day. The owner is super nice and helpful. I was told that you can trade books here as well. I wish I had a book store like this in my area.

Nice little store. After two hours of ipad fights, we stopped here on our road trip to get some books for the kids. Everyone left with something they enjoyed and the owner was helpful.

A huge selection of books with a lot of genres. It smells like books, one of the scents ever. Highly recommend for gifts, for yourself, or just to be in the midst of books.

This store is your typical, loveable, used book store with all kinds of nooks and crannies to get lost in. They also have a pretty respectable section of brand new books. I find something different every time I come in.

Absolutely lovely book store and a place to be if you are looking for a good book. I have been visiting it over several years and it never disappointed. The prices are fair, and it is a great joy to find your treasure here. Also if you trade in your old books, you get a credit.

Great place. I went in to just look around and came out with 3 books. One for me and 2 for my son. Owner was able to help track down the obscure description I gave of a book I had read when I was young. Super helpful very nice, highly recommend.

Stumbled on this store while traveling...what an awesome find and a huge selection of great books. I met the owner and I asked him for some suggestions re books on the old southwest and he was so helpful and informed...bought several of his recommendations and loved each one. Loved this place!

For a used bookstore in a town that has no other bookstores at all, Books really goes above and beyond. The staff are very nice and always willing to help you find something! For first time visitors, it might be a little tricky to find the place. Parking is small but the store is never too busy for you to find a good place to park. All in all, I highly recommend stopping by.

This bookstore is one of my favorite places ever! The first time I was here with my sister and cousin and we spent over 2 hours looking around at all the books and we had a wonderful time. Every time I am nearby I stop by and it’s equally magical each time.

This is just the kind of bookstore I love to stumble upon while traveling. Has something for everyone; I picked up Carl Sandburg's Chicago Poems and the third volume of Ransom Riggs weird trilogy. A fun chat with Dawn behind the counter and a greeting from a cat who wandered by the door completed the bookstore experience. Will return.

Cortez Books is a great little bookshop packed to the ceiling with new and used books. I've visited several times - if you're looking for something specific their staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Highly recommend!
