Always incredible service! Our two dogs are very different and require very different care and meds. VCA staff always go above and beyond to get us in, answer all our questions, and most importantly take the best care of our family. Dr. Lisenbee is patient with both our pups and treats them with the utmost care and compassion. Love our vet!

I needed to get my very sick kitty seen by a doctor and VCA was so very accommodating when many other local vets would not fit us in. I was very impressed with how the staff scheduled us quickly--even though we weren't established clients.I was also very impressed with Dr. La Rue--she is an excellent vet. She was so compassionate, knowledgeable, and professional when seeing my sweet cat, Barley. She recommended several treatments for him and worked with me to as to how to proceed taking into consideration my financial situation. She prescribed meds, fluids, and a few tests . . . after a few days, he made a full recovery and I appreciate her expertise SO much. All of the support/tech staff were exceptional as well . . . huge shout out to Consuelo, Angela, and Katie who helped with giving my cat SQ fluids and oral meds--not an easy task with my little guy! I appreciate them all so much. A big thank you to you all.

We are from St. Louis, Mo and needed to find a vet for our LH Dachshund. They got us in quickly, and we’re wonderful with our little guy. I am super happy we found them. One of our dogs is older and I like knowing we have established a vet out here for when we visit every year.Than you to them and their wonderful staff.

We’ve gone to a different VCA location before, & didn’t care for it. After having an urgent situation with our cat Kona, we gave VCA another shot at this location & I’m so glad we did! They got us in the next day, & all of the staff was extremely friendly. The vet. + techs were very thorough in our appointment & they really handled our cat with care. We got an adorable goodie-bag for our first visit with a free dose of flee medication, & received a follow-up phone call to ensure her prescribed meds were going well. We will absolutely be coming back!

First of all let me say I'm not a stranger to animal ERs. I've had 4 dogs with heart conditions and various other medical conditions. I have also been to at least 5 pet ERs. So I have a pretty good comparison. I also realize pet care especially emergency can be expensive. If I could give negative stars, I would. I would definitely not recommend you trusting your furbaby with this business. I have no doubt in my mind if I had not sought care elsewhere my sweet little dog would have likely died. I suggest you read through my story before you decide whether or not to visit this business. It could cost you your pet's life.I took my dog in because she hadn't eaten since the day before. I just figured she wasn't feeling well. Would take her to the vet the next day if it continued. That night she started making little sounds like she was in pain. That's when I took her to North Springs. Once I told them she had a heart murmur that was their ONLY focus. Even though it was only a stage 3 and their x-rays showed it wasn't a heart or lung condition. I feel that they really played on my sympathy. At first, they talked me into keeping her overnight. It was already after midnight and they weren't going to hook her up to an I. V or give her any medication. They just wanted to keep her on oxygen , making me feel like she could go into respiratory distress if I didn't. They came out with an estimate. They wanted an ADDITIONAL $900 just for that. They pushed hard for me to see their cardiologist, and my dog already had one. It was to the point I was trying not to be annoyed. Thank goodness I didn't feel good about what was going on and I opted to leave. They sent us with two antibiotics and an anti nausea pill. One of the pills was a chewable that was huge. She's not eating how am I going to get that in her? And it's going to make her sick. AND nothing for pain. She was drinking ok, and I was able to get some nutrition in her through a syringe. The cardiologist was able to get her in two days later. Everything was ok her heart condition isn't even bad enough to need medication. It's just something we monitor once a year. Next stop was the regular vet..... She took x-rays of her tummy and ran labs. She sent us to the ER because she could tell by her labs she was in serious condition.Long story short, after doing an ultrasound the ER found that she had a bowel blockage. She needed emergency exploratory abdominal surgery. Turns out it wasn't a foreign object, but the intestine had perforated and adhered to the wall. It was just kind of a glob. They had to remove five inches of her intestines. Because of the state of her lymph nodes they sent both specimens out for biopsies. Thank God she was cancer-free, but the surgeon told me if she hadn't had surgery. It would have most likely ruptured and she would have been seriously ill. She could have even died. Had I gone to this ER (on Nevada) In the first place.I could have saved her days of agony, as well as several thousand dollars. I would definitely highly recommend that animal hospital. The staff was amazing And I never felt like they were trying to up charge me to take advantage. They even texted me photos of her after surgery in recovery. I am happy to say she just had her stitches removed two days ago and it's doing fabulous.

Another great visit for my little one. Trying not to cry typing this. We searched and searched to find my epileptic feline a good vet, and I am immensely thankful to have found Dr. Rue here in COS & her Neurologist at VCA Alameda. Dr. Rue has a honed inution and you can see by watching her that she is paying close attention to your lil companion and being attentive to them. I know Dr. Rue cares about my cat & her tech, Faith, is also incredibly kind. I couldn't ask for a better team for my girl. They treated her ear today & she hasn't scratched it once. They taught me how to clip her nails because it makes me nervous & when I accidentally left my headphones behind they even looked for them. Worth every penny. I forgot to ask them about flea treatments but I'm sure they'll know just what to do when I saw them for our follow-up in two weeks. Also noting... my feline requires medications to live and they ALWAYS makes sure she has them, no matter how many "mix ups" happen at the pharmacy (pharmacies are understaffed post covid folks, not throwing shade lol). Couldn't recommend them more. Dr. Rue is also great if your lil companion needs a sensitive/trauma informed veterinarian.

My dog is aging, and we are visiting the vet more often. Dr. La Rue, Dr. Lisenbee, Consuelo, and Stephanie, you guys are truly amazing 👏 thank you! We get in quickly, the VCA senior insurance plan is great, and I always get a follow up call to see how my doggy is doing. Excellent professionals with wonderful hearts. Thank you.

Sadly, both of our elderly dogs had to be put down. VCA was extremely compassionate and caring both to the dogs and to us. I highly recommend this vet office.

This is a full service clinic with veterinary, boarding and grooming services. They've helped us through sick bouts for our dog. It's a bit pricey but I haven't found any place I like better. Plus, our dog can't stay anywhere while we travel without having severe stomach issues. He's stayed here a half dozen times now and never gotten sick. He enjoys the boarding and it's nice to have him shampooed when we pick him up. Highly recommend.

Great hospital for pets! Staff is amazing. They really care for the pets and do not try to over treat things. Also they are usually able to get you in during an emergency which I am very grateful for with two very old pets.

I was very impressed with Dr. Kevin Lisenbee. My cat was diagnosed with diabetes by another vet clinic unfortunately the vet at the other clinic couldn't answer basic questions I had regarding diet, etc. so I felt a need for a second opinion on treatment. Dr. Lisensee was able to answer all of my questions, not just on diet but on other health concerns I had for my cat. I found him very knowledgeable in the treatment of diabetes and the overall health of my cat. Dr. Lisenbee was very informative and gave me the impression he is very capable, putting me at ease in the treatment for my cat going forward.

The doctors and staff were so accommodating and helpful especially in a season of Covid. We were allowed to come inside with our buddy, but felt safe and secure in specific waiting rooms, which were clean and all staff wore masks. They were open and available for even emergencies on the weekend and had clear and fair pricing.

Today was are second physical for our cat to update all shots. She was adopted last year from the humane society at age 2. As someone who has worked with various animal groups I have always put my trust in VCA clinics and this location is a good example why. The staff is caring and considerate of your pets fear and very gentle with them. We seen Dr. La Rue again as requested but I'm comfortable in knowing that if she was not available our cat would be well cared for. To me owning a pet is like raising a child you look for the best care to keep them healthy and since our cat is a emotional support animal for an adult son who is intellectually disabled I'm happy knowing we have good health care for her nearby. Thanks for all you do for the unspoken from the domestic side of the animal kingdom.😻

Horrible experience. We saw two vet techs no vet. Their prices were astronomical. I'm 70 so I have been to many vets in my time. Never did we not see the actual veterinarian for 90.00 per dog. The bill for that day would have been 1800 dollar for 3 ear infections and 3 apaquel shots for itching. Beware!!!

We’ve been to a few different VCAs around the country and this is the best one by far! Our dog does not like going to the vet at all and hates injections, so the staff took their time to make sure Kaia trusted them and felt comfortable. Thank you.

Never have I paid so much for a vet visit. The vet was very nice and good with my dog but she was in the room for less than 5 minutes and charged $95 to tell me what I already knew. My dog had an ear infection and the total bill was going to be over $300. That would have included an ear cleaning, the medication and the visit. After making some adjustments to the treatment plan I paid $182. The vet didn't even clean my dog's ears for that price. This place is all about money!

I love Dr. Van Valin, and all the staff. I've brought a sick kitty here twice and both times they were so caring. Dr and techs made sure I had all the information I needed and were very thorough. They even called (both times) to check up on my cat and see how she was recovering. I've never had to wait long and am always able to get an appointment pretty quickly when needed.

EDIT/UPDATE POST-BOARDING EXPERIENCE. PLEASE READ!!I really wanted to love this place for boarding and right up until the very end of my pups boarding experience, I did! We paid/received the invoice, got our clean pups and went on our way home. However, one of the admins/techs (?) called us to explain that she had forgotten to charge us $100 to groom our two dogs, bringing a total amount of roughly $800+ for an 8-day stay with grooming. The price is completely fine with me, but it was the fact that I had to pay for the technicians mistake AND lack of price transparency that left a poor taste in my mouth.I feel that forgetting to charge the customer and not realizing until after received their invoice and left is the mistake of the establishment, and once the customer has gone on their way, the establishment should accept their loss and take it as a learning moment. I've worked in high-end retail throughout college and currently work in a corporate setting and in both scenarios it would be unacceptable to chase the client once they've signed the contract/received the invoice/left with their receipt.I did not want a confrontation and did have an overall pleasant experience, so I paid for the technicians mistake over the phone as she asked. Now that I've slept on it, I still feel uncomfortable and feel obligated to share my experience. The other layer to this is that when we dropped the dogs off, the price of grooming was not transparent. We did not fill out any forms ourselves, the technician did (in case the prices were listed there). Had I known it would be $50 to groom each short-haired dog, I would have declined and happily groomed them at home myself. I have checked the website as well, and the price is not listed there. Furthermore, the grooming did not seem like it was a choice when I checked the dogs in. The technician simply told us to let us know when we would be picking the dogs up and so that she could schedule the grooming sessions accordingly and I was under the impression that it was included in the boarding session for that reason, and also because the price is not listed on the website as to where other services did have prices. The website simply states that it is recommended, but does not say that a fee is incurred. When I mentioned this to the tech while paying for her mistake over the phone yesterday, she seemed casual about it and said something like "oh yeah.. sorry it should have not been like that/we don't determine the grooming prices, the groomer does" without offering a solution. All in all I feel a bit bamboozled. I will continue to receive vet services here because the CarePlans are a great steal, and the vets we've seen are fantastic, attentive, and really care for Wally and Winnie! I had been eager to board the pups here again this summer for another trip, but after the scenario I experienced yesterday I will likely look elsewhere. It's a shame because both dogs seemed happy, healthy and and well looked after once we picked them up. I would be open for a discussion with the supervisor if they're willing to call but I do feel it's important for future customers to know the price of the grooming sessions and to make sure they're checking their invoices prior to leaving to be sure that they're not under paying, only to be asked to pay more over the phone later.OLD POST -I love this vet! I was using the VCA clinic in Chicago before I moved to the Springs and I have zero regrets. They are attentive, sweet, and were willing to hear me ramble about both my dogs on both occasions. Not only that, but each of the vets I saw took time out of their day to check in with my pups to see how they were doing post-vaccinations. I'm going to board both my pups there in a couple weeks, and while I usually feel anxious about that kind of thing, I know they'll take great care of Winnie and Wally.

Okay let's start off by saying the vets are fantastic. I came in a couple days early without my dogs to get the cost of boarding. The first quote they gave me was wrong as they had a list of his 10 days when it was only eight. They re-did the quote and I agreed.Depending on who you get behind the counter sometimes it's a good experience and sometimes it's not.Picking up the dogs the night I came home was not a good experience with those behind the counter. Once I saw the billing I tried to explain that it was wrong. The response I got was anything but nice. So I just paid and then went home.I have since then done the calculations myself which is not rocket science and determined that I overpaid by $51.This type of service is unacceptable. I never had any trouble with the VCA in Littleton.$51 dollars for a retired senior citizen on a fixed income can be a big deal.My dogs, upon arrival at your facility were extremely healthy. When i got them home they were as hungry as i have ever seen them, and my little silky looked horrible. That right there disgusts me!!ThanksBob Duane

Northwest hospital is sooo sweet. They treated my cats and I with the up most care. The receptionist helped me carry my cats to the room. I am very new to being a cat owner and they gave me great tips to keep my cats healthy. I recommend this hospital to any pet owner.

Dr Lisenbee (sorry if I butchered that name!) is awesome! I really feel like the staff here care about my dog's well-being on an individual level and I trust the vets here to provide quality care and to have his best interests at heart. It is expensive, but it's been worth it to know that my pup is as happy and healthy as he can be.

I usually take my pets to VCA Dublin Animal Hospital however, my dog needed to be seen ASAP and my vet was unable to get her in. They recommended VCA Northwest Animal Hospital who was able to get me in the same day. I was so very pleased with how they welcomed both me and my dog and was so grateful for their kind hospitality. They were very open with what needed to be done and were more than willing to answer any questions that I had. I had even received a call from them a day later checking on Daisy's well being. That shows that your pets are important to them. They are on the pricey side but I think that just might be VCA in general. But I am so relieved that my Daisy is back to her normal outgoing and spunky self! My thanks to the entire NW staff for making Daisy feel a good as new!!
