Smudges is the best!! Thor has been going here for almost two years, twice a week for daycare with nothing but happy tails, dragging me to the door to go in. I cannot say enough kind words for the owner and his team- they are just wonderful people, love dogs and are genuinely nice people too. It’s a great way for Thor and me to start a day at drop off, and he’s a well behaved, tired out pup at home after. It was not easy to find the perfect place for him to go, I know that struggle and navigating reviews, but the search for us ended immediately and joyfully with Smudges.

Olaf had so much fun playing at Smudge's Dog House! He was well taken care of, not too stressed away from home, made lots of new friends, and didn't even smell like he'd playing at a doggie daycare. Since so my pups get washed up here, Olaf was as fresh as ever when he came home. He's looking forward to my next trip so he can play again.

I took my Aussiedoodle puppy here (first time being groomed) to see Alicia. She was very nice. I had realistic expectations knowing my 13 week old puppy might be a challenge to groom and need to get used to a lot. I told Alicia what I wanted (puppy cut) and even showed her pictures. When I came back 1.5 hrs later to pick up my pup, I didn’t even get to see her before paying. I paid $55 plus a 15% tip, sight unseen. When I saw my puppy, she looked nothing like the pictures I had shown her or even close to what I described. My puppy came back looking like poodle. Not at all what I asked for. The first and second photos is my pup. The third is what I showed her I wanted. Alicia was very nice but I won’t be back.

The first day I picked up Rito from day care a very nice man brought her out patted her on the head and said “You did good kid”. Since that day any time we are close to smudges Rito will freak out hoping we go to daycare. I have used smudges for boarding, daycare, and grooming and each service gets 5 stars. Staff is so friendly and it warms my heart that they remember Rito even though we aren’t as regular as we used to be. The groomers are amazing and really listen to what you would like trimmed. Smudges will be our forever groomer and daycare.

The first time I took my Husky after his groomer retired was about 6 months ago. As soon as I walked in the door the staff was awesome and so helpful. I have taken him back 3 times since then as well as my niece with her dog 'Smudge'. Every time has been great, the place is clean and you can really tell that they care for all of their furry customers. I will continue to go back.

We did a self wash for $16. It is a super cute setting. Shampoo & conditioner provided was great, mild smell, left my dog's coat sliky soft. Love that they have dryers, don't normally use one, but it was a cool day and we live close by so we just walked over.

So the reviews of this place were really promising and I was excited to get my dog groomed here! I just moved here from another state so finding a good groomer was one of the first things on my list. Let me start by saying this place has really great customer service. When I walked in, I was immediately greeted and taken care of and the same for the pick up. The groomer was extremely friendly and my dog came out looking clean and soft (I'd taken him there for a bath and deshedding treatment).Originally, when I'd called, I was quoted $45-50 with the deshedding being a possible $5-10 extra depending on my dog's coat (he's a short-haired mixed breed). When I went to check out, I was rung up for $66. I paid it, that's fine I guess... as long as the quality of work is good. I take my dog straight home and notice fur flying all over the car. As soon as we get home, I pet him and fur is just flying off. I got his brush and brushed him for no longer than 5 minutes and the brush was FULL of fur. I don't understand how I paid EXTRA for the deshedding treatment only to find my dog shedding worse than he was before he got there! It's like they cut his hair shorter but didn't brush his coat deep enough... I don't know what happened. Sad to say that I was disappointed with the work this place did on my dog and I'll be continuing my search for another grooming place in CO Springs.Update: the owner called and once again, offered great customer service. He was apologetic about my experience and also said he would make it right. I’ll give them another chance based off of their excellent customer service alone. Hopefully the quality of the next service is up to par and I can use them as our groomer while we’re stationed here!

We have been using Smudges dog house for boarding and daycare for our dog Zelda for months. The staff are amazing and even recognize my car when I pull in to pick her up, and will already have her ready for me. They remembered that she has a sensitive stomach and gave us treats and recipes that they use on their own dogs with sensitive stomachs. Every day my dog is in daycare she comes home absolutely exhausted from playing and will wait by the door the next morning in anticipation to go back. Going to Smudges dog house has also greatly improved her anxiety around people and other dogs. Ever since we started using their daycare, I have seen a complete 180 in my dogs friendliness to strangers. Smudge’s is a place that I will build my commute and schedule around just so my dog can continue going.

I've been taking my dog here for a few years. Love the service, the atmosphere, in and out in about 20 minutes. Never have had to wait one day. I'll remember to bring in my punch cards and I'll get a free wash but it's mine and my dogs every 2 to 3 weeks place to go

BEST GROOMER!!! I have a very fluffy Husky and have taken him lots of places to get groomed… Smudge’s exceeded all of my expectations and were without a doubt the best experience we have ever had. He looked amazing, and smelled even better! The scent lasted months after his groom— even my other dogs started to smell better! I honestly cannot wait to take him back again!

I’ve known Rob (the owner) and his team for decades. Been taking my four dogs here since the beginning and would never consider taking them anywhere else. All of the services are very affordable with the upmost care taken for your pups. Staff is wonderful too which is always a plus! Definitely recommend! 🐾

Amazing! I love this place, I used their self wash and immediately when i walked in , it was such a cool atmosphere with the cutest trucks to wash your dogs in. They were full at the time so i went outside to go play in the little dog space they had and someone came out and offered me a brush to use on my pup. I have a 7 month old GSD who usually doesn’t like baths, but he loved it and came out super soft and happy! They also offer boarding and daycare for the best prices! Needless to say I will definitely be coming back :)

I could not say enough good things about Smudge’s dog house. My baby girl, Luna, has a lot of anxiety. And she is now anxious about returning BACK to daycare every morning. She loves the staff. The staff loves the dogs. And Rob is really the best. I know that my girl is in good hands when she is here. Thank you for being Luna’s second home.

Great place for dogs. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. I bring my 4 month Akita puppy to the doggy day care and he is always worn out at pick up from playing with others dogs. The staff also offers to send you pictures and video of your dog throughout the day which is very nice.

Love this place! Close to my house and my dogs are treated well. Staff is friendly and they care about my dogs. Love that the kennels are big enough for a dog crate so my boys can snuggle together with something from home. My go to doggy daycare!

Great place for bathing pets! Owner was amazing! We called beforehand to see if we could bring in a skunk sprayed Pooch. He said absolutely and laughed. When we arrived the owner had everything ready for us, even a Special Spray for skunk smell!! We had to bathe him 4 times to get most of the smell out! But we all left HAPPY .

This was my first time here. The employees were friendly. They provided everything I needed to groom my English bulldog puppy! I also thought it was really cool that they use linex'd old truck beds as the washing bays 😂 *ps - their shampoo and conditioner is bomb*

We take our pug here 2x a week and he loves it. Staff are super friendly. Doug the pug! From Doug - My parents work so it gives me great exercise so I'm not sitting at home all the time. Our dog came back to us with a puncture wound on her jawline after a one night stay. So much for no aggressive dogs?I tried doing things correctly by letting her stay for a few hours before the overnight boarding as they suggested. The only feedback they gave me was that she's nervous (6 month old) but that it would be fine for the overnight stay.Then the day comes when we have to drop her off. We ask if they can send pictures or any updates in general and they agree to. We weren't ever shown the area she stays in really, just get to see it on the monitors. Its sort of a black box once you give them your dog until you pick them up. Anyway, we get her back the next day after not having received any pictures or updates. We ask how she did, "oh she was ok but nervous".. Well ok.. thanks I guess. No suggestions for next time or specifics on what happened.Then the next day I notice what I assumed was dried drool on her jaw, but it turns out it was dried blood and a sizeable puncture wound. No mention about it from them at all. They either didn't notice (bad) or noticed and didn't tell us (worse).The grooming and washing seems to be this places forte, with the boarding more of a side gig. I'd say if you want somewhere to put your dog for a few hours then ok, but overnight seems like more of a gamble. Good luck.

We take our two French bulldogs here and trust smudges with our fur babies. The breed is sensitive to heat so smudges watches and provides indoor play if it’s too hot. They washed their beds and blankets for when we picked them up so it was one less thing to wash after a long vacation. It’s the little things that make a difference. It’s hard to leave fur babies but they are in good hands at smudges

Love the truck bed bathtubs! Gets my dog every time. The water pressure is 👌🏽 and I love the adjustable nozzle. Staff is super friendly. The outside blower is suuuuper powerful. Super useful to blow out undercoats but it’s also very loud.Would be nice to have a little patch of grass in the dog park.

The staff are so friendly and they have always been able to fit my dog into an earlier slot since as aLab he just needs a wash a good brush. My dog trusted them by the second visit and that is saying alot as my dog has always been quite fearful.My dog Bear always smells so good and the amazing smell lasts for weeks and he looks amazing too. He also is with out a doubt so much happier and more playful when he gets his bath there.Also I love that they are right down the street from me but that is not why I come back. It’s the quality of the work and the level of customer service they hold themselves to that makes me want to keep coming here for as long as Bear has left on this Earth.
