Safeway in the Village Center of Colorado Springs is simply outstanding. From the moment you walk through the doors, you're greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The store is always impeccably clean, well-organized, and stocked with a wide variety of high-quality products. The staff members are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, making every shopping experience a pleasure. Had to get some stuff from the pharmacy that was going to take 10-15 minutes. So having nothing else to do I walked around to buy food. Loaded up on some things (saw my buddy Isabella) got my pills and as I was headed to the register I realized I didn't have any bags (you have to buy them in Colorado now to save the environment) so I paid for my stuffs and headed home. Thanks for the basket Albertsons.....

I love the meat and seafood department, Will is always very helpful when I need help with new recipes. The checkers Big Joe, Zach, Tom and Kelly are always so polite, smiling and ready to help. Gary in produce is very knowledgeable about the fruits and vegetables. This is my favorite Safeway!

There’s a guy at the meat counter, Will something. He’s funny, attentive, very helpful, and he knows how to upsell, some of the good stuff I’ve come home with I’d never have tried otherwise. Gary is always a good guy too, I can always count on him for good help, he’s usually in produce. It’s nice to have a personal touch. Generally a decent, if somewhat small, store. Like all of them they’re still having supply chain issues but appear to be doing the best they can. If it’s. It there this week it’s back next week.

Magnificent and experienced Meat Department guy. He is from Hawaii and very helpful and understands my concerns when I have questions about different fish that I have never tried before. I keep coming back for more fish and different varieties because he is always on point with his advice.This is the go to place for meat, seafood and fish. Hang 10 Dude!

My son and I have lived across the street from Safeway for several years now. And I must say that One of the Best Parts of shopping there is getting to see and visit with Billy in Seafood. Although I generally don’t purchase seafood myself, I do purchase the meats. Which Billy is Always Incredibly Kind, Helpful, and Knowledgeable. Not to mention that he Always has a smile on his face, which being in his presence for just mere minutes, tends to be contagious. Lastly, because Billy in Seafood is Such an Awesome person and an Amazing part of the Safeway staff, my Son and I Both Hope that we’ll Always get to see him and his smiling face behind the counter in seafood/meat.

My husband went to the store to get me some medicine and some fluids as I just got out of the hospital last night finding out I had lung cancer. He left my credit card at the store and went back to get it. The store manager Teresa will not give it to him. I called her And she told me that she couldn’t give it to him unless he brought back my drivers license to get it so he did. She refused to give it to him, saying I needed to come there to get my credit card with my I explained that I just got out of the hospital and I can’t get there right now. She said then she would not give me my credit card so in my robe and pajamas I struggle to get there and get my credit card. Service person I told I needed it and I was having a hard time breathing because I was just in the hospital. She then told me she’s calling 911 because I can’t breathe. I told her I just told you I was in the hospital and I’m having a hard time breathing because I have lung cancer. You do not need to call 911. Then, through my drivers license on the counter, and the girl at the counter said I threw my drivers license at her I said I threw it at you? No, I threw it on the counter did not come near her. I’m really upset we shop there every other day And spent tons of money there and I will never step foot in that building again until you get rid of that awful Manager Teresa. This isn’t the first time I’ve had issues with her because sometimes my points don’t go through and it doesn’t give me my discount and I’ve asked her about it and she’s very rude. She doesn’t smile and she just turns and walks away .

Although there are multiple Safeways close to work or on the drive home, I prefer to go to this one because of the level of customer service. One of the employees, Joe, always quickly responds to any problem I have, and he never seems annoyed solving my various issues.Joe is also very friendly so, we often chat about what’s going on in our lives while I am checking out. I haven’t seen him ever in a poor mood, and I go to this Safeway all the time. He is a pretty great guy.5/5 Stars

I’ve never been so disrespected at a grocery store. For the Assistant Manager (Dwayne) to treat customers that way, I feel bad for his team. He does NOT need to be in a leadership position. For move in gifts, we are giving out $100 Safeway gift cards to “fill your fridge”. Stopped by this location to pick up 3 and was told they needed to see ID with a card. I handed them my company petty cash card and ID, then was told the manager would have to come. Dwayne, the Assistant Manager, came and started being very condescending, disrespectful and accusing me of fraud. Other locations I’ve purchased from - asked if I was doing it on my own free will , but did not cause a scene like Dwayne did. When I told them we could call my corporate office, he said it wasn’t his job and said “there’s a lot of fraud” - again being condescending. I’m sure he felt powerful accusing someone of fraud that’s literally giving away gift cards for more customers to shop at their location! The Distract Manager needs to do something about this as this was beyond unacceptable.** Already contacted corporate and filled a complaint. Waiting for a call from the District Manager.

I go to this Safeway store several times in a week. I could save some bucks and drive to Walmart but you don't get that same neighborhood feel. I truly enjoy coming to the Rockrimmon store, it is clean and all the associates are so knowledgeable and beyond friendly. Zach, Kelly, Randy, Tim, and Joe are absolutely wonderful at the checkouts. My little dude says hello to all of them and calls them all by name and every single one of them stop to say hello to him and make his day. Billy and Greg in the meat/seafood counter are absolute Rockstars. They also go out of their way to guve my little dude fist bumps and a chat. They not only know their department but several times I have witnessed them going out of their way to help customers looking for items in the store and taking them to where it is located not just pointing in the direction. Truly your associates make this store my go to shopping choice. Not sure I would go out of my way to shop here almost daily if they were not there. They make this store EXCEPTIONAL!

Online shopper sent me messages about 13 missing items all at once (about half my items) and then checked out 5 min later. No time for me to choose new items, esp as only one option shown for substitution. No way to complain or ask for help. Terrible. UPDATE: I spoke with online customer service and directly with store manager. Two apologies but absolutely 0 help. I live 3 min from tbe store but they did not offer to deliver the missing items. Never again. Second problem with Safeway shopper.

William from the meat market was a great help he is always saying he'llo and stopping to tell stories. Like the traditional hawiaan way which is so cool. Very over the top experience guy about the meats. Which is nice because you don't get that lot anymore. I have autism and sometimes people brush me off but he doesn't him and the guys in the deli always take time to talk to me. Noah is a great cashier also always so nice. Keep them around.

Billy in the meat department is awesome and will tell you how to cook delicious meals with what is on sale. It frustrates me that the bathroom is locked, though. It took talking to 4 people to get it open today. I am a customer, not a criminal.

Frequently have items out of stock, expired products on the shelf including meat. The day before Thanksgiving, a homeless woman and young girl were outside the store asking for money. The store manager came out and yelled at them to get away. How disappointing. He should have been giving them some food instead of screaming at someone without a place to live or go at Thanksgiving. Some people should be put on the street so they can see what it would be like. Maybe then they can have warm compassion and empathy.

Scheduled a COVID shot here yesterday. The person doing the shots, walked right past me as I was waiting in the side room they asked me to go to. They were gone 10 minutes or more, came back and walked by me again. My husband went out and finally asked if they were going to give me the scheduled shot (the individual who had walked by me twice was now eating in the pharmacy area and the shot was laying on the counter). He finally came in, lectured me on being patient and a lot of other things. This was now maybe 25 mins or more past the apt …. there was no one else at the pharmacy or waiting for a shot. Not only that, the room itself was beyond filthy, ceiling tiles out, water stains, boxes and trash sitting in the room. The actual pharmacy counter was also filthy. I wanted to run. I would not fill scripts here and am uneasy even about my shot. I can only imagine the entire store is this filthy behind the scenes.

I visited Safeway early on a Saturday morning when I needed medicine for a bad cold. Felt awful! Collected the items I needed and went thru self check/out. I was having difficulty using Apple Pay. The clerk on duty tried to help, but couldn’t figure out the problem. He called the manager on duty (name beginning with a K). She came and tried to make it work without success. Instead of expressing any kind of support or regret, she told me it wouldn’t work and walked away. Not going back to that store anytime soon. I’ll drive the extra miles to go to King Soopers.

Pharmacy staff are beyond stupid. You’ve got pharmacists who don’t know what the hell they are talking about giving me a number after she refuses to fill my Covid medicine and I call the number and they say she’s completely wrong. Had to love my prescription.. avoid this pharmacy they have a history of incompetence and attitude.

I really like this Safeway as it's less crowded than most here in the City. Very friendly staff at this location, too!You're always able to find what you need because it's always in stock! And the Fresh/Ready to Heat meals are a life saver AND very tasty!

Average Safeway, has a pharmacy with Covid testing, Covid and flu vaccines. Make an appointment on line to be sure you can get in. They also have a Starbucks inside.

Horrible place to shop. Bad customer service. Even the employees don't want to be there. Management doesn't listen to complaints or feedback. They use decade old serving trays for their donuts that leave plastic pieces in the donuts that broke part of my tooth. Management didn't and doesn't care.

I went in for some apple jelly, walked to the directory at one end of the store, headed where it said and nope. Had to find someone and then walked the length of the store again to find it. Always frustrated when I go there so I won't be back.

Wish I liked it bc close to my house, but prices crazy high and today not the first time I got groceries home to find out creamer expired. If you come here, gotta watch that. Also usually only one checkout person so, unless you’re okay with lines, plan on doing their work for them at self checkout. People who work here are mostly u friendly. I do my shopping elsewhere but rarely use it when I need a convenience store that’s close to my house. If you plan ahead, you can find better service, selection and significantly better prices elsewhere.

I cannot see myself shopping at a store that denies my dog's entry. When I have every federal paper that the federal government can't deny my dog entry. This Safeway, its stores management and employees go out of their way to create conflicts that don't even or should not exist.

Just plain horrible angry staff.....we don't recommend you go here unless you absolutely can't get anywhere else. Place needs a staff and management over haul. Terrible attitudes from all but a handful of people every time. No self or awareness of others. No desire to remove issues. The stench of Entitlement if the management and employees should offend its corporate owners and stock holders.
