Used to think so highly of this store and products until I experienced an issue after purchasing the RAW frozen bison marrow bone…within 10mins of my dog having it in her cage chewing on it it splintered, I immediately called them and got the response of we don’t issue refunds etc and it would need to go to the store owner for approval if so! Well it should of been as easy as we will do anything to fix this issue we are sorry etc, my dog could of been seriously hurt by this bone but thankfully she was being supervised while she had it!!! That’s NOT good customer service when I spend HUNDREDS of dollars at this store!!!!

I don't write many reviews, but I feel like others should know. This specific location inaccurately quotes people for their grooming services on the phone to get them in the door and then changes their fees. Price is price but be honest about it up front so clients are able to make a conscious decision on who they would like to use for their groomer. Will not be coming back just solely on feeling like they have no ethics.

This store and the employees are the best, you won’t find better anywhere. I live out of state and travel here for my dog’s grooming, food, treats, toys, and collars/leashes. To start this is the only place I trust to groom my dog, my dog has had some coat problems, but the mud bath here fixes everything. They are also the only place I’ve taken my dog that knows how to properly trim his nails. The employees, Ericka and Pamela, have been life savers for me and my dog. I was a first time dog owner and they both were so helpful in getting me all set up for dog ownership. They helped me find the best food for my dog’s sensitive stomach and have the best healthy treats. This is the only store that I trust all the food and treats they sell because they only sell the highest quality dog products. They also have the most durable and safe toys, as a pit mix owner, most toys don’t stand a chance, but this store has great selection of Westpaw and tough toys that we have had since I got my dog. Lastly, this store has the cutest, long-lasting leashes, collars and harnesses. The employees will even adjust the harness in the store so it fits perfectly. If you care about your dog and its health, this is the best place to get EVERYTHING for your dog, I couldn’t recommend it more!

I go here all the time, they are always friendly and helpful. I don’t get my dogs nails done here so I can’t talk about that.The other day though a gentleman brought his yellow Labrador in to get nails trimmed and I was there getting David’s frozen food. The groomer told the owner his dogs nails only needed one or two nails trimmed and that it was no need for payment. Kind of cool !!

My dogs haircut looks great! When I made the appointment, I was quoted $53, but we were charged $65. When I mentioned it before paying, they said their prices start at $60 for small dogs.

After a bad experience at another groomer nearby we decided to try republic of paws and they have been absolutely amazing for the past year+ that we have been going there. Our dog, Hondo, looks amazing after every groom. The staff is friendly and kind. They do not over book their grooms and the store is always clean. I can’t say enough nice things about them, thank you for taking care of Hondo!

Friendly and insightful staff. They have lots of great choices for my fur baby from organic treats to a fair amount of grooming supplies. The grooming service was affordable for everything that was covered, dental, deshedding, blowdry, ears cleaned and nails clipped ending with a blueberry facial..all in all we were happy with the service received.

Great groomers here who are very friendly, amazing pet products that I buy there for my dogs all the time, love the manager Erica she’s the sweetest person and the receptionist Pam is really nice and gives the best service. Overall best groomers I’ve been too definitely will be recommending them to my friends with animals. This place cares a lot for their customers and are always welcoming me their with warm arms. Been satisfied with my service here since day 1 🙌🙌

I'm a regular customer at the westside location (& they are AWESOME!!) I went to Academy location for first time ( & the last!!) Westside always does my Great Pyrenees in 4hrs for $120 and a GREAT job! Academy quoted me $140 & 4hrs, they finished her in 4hrs but charged me $180. I said I wasn't happy about that and couldn't believe how I was treated by multiple staff members, with the exception of Haley the groomer, she was professional & did a good job! I was upset about being price gouged an extra $60 for the exact same service, but how I was treated by the staff was much more upsetting to me!!!!

The Republic Of Paws came to the rescue after I discovered that Walmart, Walmart.com, and Amazon had backorders of the specific food my (CKD) kidney compromised cat must eat to maintain her weight. I placed my order on the Republic of Paws webpage for pickup the following day and got a discount on the bag by signing up for auto-ship. I was surprised to find they offer a plethora of Tiki wet cat food varieties.

This is by far the best place to get my doggo groomed! They were sooo nice! My doggo didnt want to leave. Everywhere else i take him to get groomed, they mess up the cut. But they got him absolutely perfect!! I want to recommend this place to everyone!

I’ll never go to another pet store!! When we first moved here, I came in looking for my dogs specific brand of food. They didn’t stock it but Ericka went above and beyond to find a brand they did stock that had the exact same ingredients (and was even more affordable). I’ve never experienced that level of service. The groomers there also do a great job of trimming my dogs nails even though he is a handful - they are so sweet and patient with him. Every single person that works in that store is so friendly and helpful - I can’t recommend a better place to shop for your pet!!

Expect outstanding customer service. The employees are dedicated, knowledgeable, and genuinely care. If you want advice on concerns or products they modestly give you suggestions.I am greatly appreciative for Grace. She groomed my German Wire Haired Pointer many years until she passed away at 16 years old. Mattie was blind, and arthritic but came out happy and pretty after grooming. Grace could not have been more loving, caring and empathetic. Now I take my new puppy to her with confidence and excellent results.

This place has everything you need for your beloved pooch and curious cat! It was my first time shopping here and I was blown away by the variety of products offered and the friendliness and knowledge of the store manager. She helped guide me through products ranging from raw dog food to oral care to anti-anxiety lick mats! I will definitely be back at this location. Make sure you sign up for the loyalty program, as it is sure to bring on an all around PAWSitive experience.

Best animal grooming around. Prices are great and staff was amazing. Before bringing my dogs here, their shedding was uncontrollable. I don’t know what shampoo they used, but my dogs have never looked or felt so good. I’ll recommend this place to everyone I meet at the dog park, as well as family.

Great store until I got their grooming contract. The contract absolves Republic of Paws South of all responsibilities for any injury (or death) during or after the pets appointment!Two stars for wonderful treats, toys and friendly staff. Two stars for making me wonder how many pets prompted the addition of the contracts' "death clause."Sadly will not return to this business.

This place is close to home and sells the dog food brand I need, which is hard to find in many places. The prices I feel are similar to what other places sell for the same products (I buy Fromm food and it costs more to buy it on Amazon sometimes) and theres a loyalty program to get you a free bag of food after you purchase a bunch. The employees are always friendly and willing to help when I can’t get the bag out!I’ve also bought specially made dog treats that my pups looove to eat. It’s a great little store and they have good hours so I can go after work, during lunch or on the weekend.Keep in mind that they don’t wear masks in the store but if you’re uncomfortable with it they have an online/home delivery service!!

Friendly knowledgeable staff which is the only reason this us not a 1 star. I was told 4 weeks ago by the owner that they would order my pets specific food. When I physically went to pick it up, I was told the owner is forgetful and my order was never placed. I was offered a small bag for a discounted price until my order came in. $1.00 off is not acceptable for my time and dropping the ball on their end. I would definitely recommend going to a different local pet store such as Pet Pantry or Mike's Natural Pet Market.

Amazing. The one located in old colorado city i think is better. Great customer service, nice not so brand name pet food. They do grooming too, it's the only one our dog doesn't freak out on. We can't even cut his hair but they are so good with pets it'll make you relieved and jealous. Totally recommend it.

We come here regularly for nail trims and a special treat. The groomer is always super nice and really good with dogs. Little Stitch the chihuahua tries to be intimidating but they're not bluffed. Prices are fair and the treats are super interesting.

I’ve been coming here for my dog food for the last 9 months or so. I buy a large amount so I don’t need to go very often. I realized that almost no employees wear masks when I would go but every single other customer that was ever there when I went was always wearing a mask. It was only once I saw one woman working wearing a mask. So this last time I went, I consciously was paying attention and was prepared to ask about it. Sure enough, employee wasn’t wearing a mask. So I asked if there was a reason why almost all employees don’t wear masks. She told me that the owners Molly and James do not believe in it so they tell their employees they don’t have to wear them. And since she and the other employees have the same beliefs they don’t wear masks. She said they’ve been doing it the entire year and it’s not been a problem. This for me is a deal breaker in where I’ll go and where I spend my money. Wearing a mask is literally the least you can do to help keep our community safe. I wanted to share this so others going here or thinking of going here can decide if that matters for them.
