I'm new to this area. I stopped by for a few groceries and to have a look around for the first time. First, the produce looked great. Everything looked fresh, neat and orderly. The bakery was orderly. I was looking for some cornbread and asked Joseph if they had any. He was quite rude and gave me a look like I had ruined his day! Of course I apologized for disturbing him. He did show me where it was, but he didn't have to have that kind of attitude with me. First time I EVER thought that a customer should apologize to an employee just for asking a question!! Whatever happened to "the customer is always right" or "treat every customer as if they are new to the store?"Then I was approached by a begger asking me for money. That made me feel really unsafe shopping there. I quickly got what I needed just to get the hell out. I didn't even want to look around anymore. The only bright spot was my checkout lady Kimberly. She was very nice and so was the head cashier who's name escaped me. But I probably won't be returning. I just don't feel safe shopping there. 2 stars for the organization and checkout crew. 👍

The young man in meat department is completely rude. He has brown hair, wears glasses. I instacart at south academy all the time. I asked for help looking for meat product and his response was telling me that I should know where the product is and didn't take the time to show me. If you are that miserable working at a company that strives for great customer service. You might want to find another job.

Awesome store but ken the seafood associate told me he was too busy to take the skin off the salmon despite not having a single customer besides me in 15 minutes. Every other associate is always happy to help. Not ken the seafood associate.

The self checkout employee (Christian) followed me out of the store and verbally accosted me, screaming at me to not have pets. Not sure why he thought that was appropriate or why his opinion should matter. Just want him to know I worked in veterinary for 6+ years, and saved hundreds to thousands of animals lives.Really intelligent, professional lot working at this king Soopers. I will bring the thousands of dollars I've spent on groceries elsewhere for now on. King Soopers is really going downhill. Hiring anyone off the street apparently.I hope Christians pets never have an emergency, and the emergency staff don't treat him the way he treated me today. No compassion, no respect, no. Just an ego that belongs to someone not working at a grocery store.

The floral department employees were terrable one male one female. Neither one of them greeted me and acted like I wasn't standing at the counter. Especially the lady. Its a sad shame, if you don't want the job someone else will be happy to have it. Find some joy in your life.

Went to western union to get money order. Had money nicely organized so it was easy to count. Was told to do someone's job for them. After the individual giving customers orders refused to her job she told someone else to help me, guess she had a problem with the way I did her job for her. Afterwards jynelle came over with a terrible attitude and refused to give me the name of the employee who refused to do her job.

Bathrooms are locked and you need a code except they won't give you a code and instead wanted to have a man walk me there. also the entire store is extremely dirty an gross. horrid experience all around.

I stopped here for a few groceries before a snowstorm and expected it to be busy. It was but the store was able to handle it without issues. The shelves were neatly stocked and aisles easy to navigate. The person who checked me out was friendly and easy to work with. Nice selection of meats and vegetables. Will definitely be back here.

This is close to my house do its convenient. That's all I can really say. They remodeled but it's the same old store. I love their chicken but on several occasions it was closed. One for a water break and now the heater or something. Soon it's remodeled and worse than before. Get it together

You should expect to be disappointed every single time you go here.They closed it down a couple months ago to clean out the asbestos, and you'd think they would do some cosmetic changes or at least put new tile in, but no. They made the aisles thinner, so as to cram more of the same garbage quality product they sell at better stores, and they made sure the produce section was more difficult to navigate for reasons unknown to the human mind.And on the topic of produce: they sell bottom-of-the-barrel fruits and veg and expect you to pay the same, if not more, than the walmart 10 minutes away.Seriously, you have to be ashamed of yourself if your produce is of lesser quality than a walmart.Frequently I come in to buy just one thing, only to find they don't have it, or some insane moron has had the shelves rearranged so that the one thing is in a place that makes absolutely no sense.Hands down the worst grocery store in the city. I'm never shopping here again, and I recommend you don't either.

pharmacist or tech is very rude and likes to discriminate based on what medication you are recieving. Recovering addicts/ long term pain patients deserve the same respect you would give anyone based on race, gender, religion or disability this has got to stop! My prescription is legal from a doctor just like everyone else and I dont deserve to be treated poorly because of that. Do better people!

So was in there tonight and used the lottery machine. Well the machine had messed up and cut one of my tickets in half. So I went to customer service and the guy said that they can get me another one but he had to call his manager so girl with glasses. She gets there and they are talking about the ticket so she scratched my ticket and then scanned it and said it's a losing ticket so it doesn't matter but apparently if it won she was gonna claim it. So needless to say they stole my scratcher and used it and refused to give me another one even after they scratched it them selfs. Will update with the managers name, I feel like I was cheated out of something I payed for and didn't get to use because this lady stole my scratcher.

My experience lately here was rude cashier lady who was older Caucasian at the self checkout, I had asked her a question about the small Gates closing as you walk in as I originally entered the store to purchase a 12 pack of monster energy, as I was asking her a question, I asked if I could go back out the same way I arrived in she rudely spoke to me with anger and frustration and spoken and treated me as if I was a child and said that I must go back around and re-enter the gate, the security guard lady is awesome and was kind enough to get a basket for me as I was too in a hurry I was more worried about the closing time than anything and forgot to get a shopping cart, I made my purchase and openly expressed to the cashier that I strongly disagreed with her demeanor body language and tone of voice and lack of customer service or even treating me like a human being, customer service is greatly lacking here because of some employees, customers are spending lots of money and deserve to have customers service, I can honestly say that this cashier has very poor customer service or is probably racist towards indigenous people of color.

This is the closest store to our home and one of the worst in the state. We were excited to see they reopened and observed there were zero store improvements except the the ceiling perhaps for health concerns. What an unbelievable waste of opportunity for a remodel. Store is run down and it seems clear King Soopers has no desire in improvements for this store in this area. The store layout is poor, the parking lot is dangerous, avoid this store if you can. You will leave stressed and\or with a dent in your vehicle. Multiple security vehicles and cameras show the concern for public safety. We are thankful for click lists so we can avoid entering the building.

This location is closest to home, but I have not been to this location in over a year as I rather shop at other places. But Never had an issue at this location when it was busy. then it remodeled, and it is terrible. I went 11/22 day before thanksgiving already expecting to be crowded i was fine, but to actually be in the way it was redone is bad That store is too small for them to have remodeled it the way they did and with the crowd You feel trapped, claustrophobic, and overwhelmed with how they blocked every access and you are not able to cut through like in the past. I get they wanted it to look updated and match the Austin bluffs and constitution location but thr academy location doesn’t have the space for it and it was a bad idea. I couldn’t get out of there fast enough, I don’t get anxiety or overwhelmed, and this store did it for me. Also they charge you to get cash back….. if I ever need to go to king soopers I willl drive out of my way and go to constitution or Austin bluffs or even Stetson hills but not this academy /hancock location.

We visited the newly re-opened King Soopers this week. Food-wise, Everything seemed fine and nicely organized. We were surprised the floor looked so worn out after the closure - surprised the flooring wasn’t replaced. So, all okay until we reached check-out. Maybe Michelle was having a bad day but she seemed on the defensive and less than friendly which made us decide to shop at the Constitutiin and Marksheffel store in the future. We will only use the S. Academy store if we are forced to - bummer. The Academy store always seems to stress us out one way or another. And, we didn’t see any of the checkers we are familiar with.

Too small for what they did to it. I don’t get anxiety or feel claustrophobic but when I went into this store after the remodel, I felt trapped, claustrophobic and had high anxiety I couldn’t get out of the store fast enough.

I was just here at 6:13 am and the Security guard and lady we're in blue jeans and boots working the front.Laugh at me because I couldn't get the doors to open.I am a disabled individual and I do not appreciate being laughed App for not being able to open your doors before they go on automatic

This store since reopened is bare shelves. Management fighting with employees if front of customers. Went to find hummus. It expired as of the 18th. Ask the deli department. That’s all they had.!I think I may just take the drive back to the other king soopers. Until this one changes.

Okay King Soopers open back up the prices of going through the roof the only grocery store in this area who pays $12 for a Home Run Inn frozen pizza they no they have Monopoly and they use it to their advantage right before they closed they double the price on just about everything in the store Wal-Mart is much better pricing

I had a fantastic shopping experience at King Soopers. The store was clean, well-organized, and had a wide range of products available. The staff members were friendly, knowledgeable, and readily available to assist with any questions. The prices were reasonable and there were plenty of specials and discounts throughout the store. Overall, I highly recommend King Soopers for all your grocery shopping needs.

The dairy section is not clean. I didn’t bring a magnifying glass in the store this is obvious neglect. Not sanitary. What really had me upset is that some of these shelves recently where total cleared of product and just sat empty covered in filth. Nobody wants to buy food from a dirty shelf.

I love Soopers, but it just recently shut down due asbestos. Even though Google said it was open, the entire store was blocked off & closed (has been for almost a month. It’s a waste to even drive there, especially with all the heavy traffic just to get there.

Went to the Grand ReOpening today. The store looks amazing on the inside however the entrance wasn't fixed, the doors and everything I thought they were going to fix that area, it's very small to be able to get in and out which causes traffic and customers arguing
